Ghost is raising an awful lot of death flags.
Ghost is so annoying. I wish there was a way we could resurrect without him. I really can't stand his yapping 99% of the time.

@TrevLuL Bro, I was hyped for getting the final shape. I played the first mission, and I loved Cayde's intro. He's setting the tone of the story for the rest of the dlc, and he makes a funny joke about crows hair and then ghost says some stupid shit, like "I like his hair." I literally sighed so hard that it made me look up the cutscenes and spoil the entire thing because I can't be bothered to play through a campaign with ghost making me roll my eyes every 5 minutes.

There was a part of when we were ascending the architecture and Cayde asked Crow : " how IS your sister " , i died laughing.
Imagine being a new Light. You start in the Cosmodrome and get to Guardian rank 2. You start the Final Shape. Not even 8 hours after your journey began, Ghost is getting all sappy at recreation of your starting point, and you yet another supper in an already overwhelming line up.
Whoever hops into the final shape campaign as a new light is dumb asf, imo That's like playing god of war 4 without playing the first 3. You won't understand shit, is common sense

@@redblue4127it’s only missing 2 campaigns. That sucks ass but if a new light plays shadowkeep all the way until final shape, they’ll understand wayyyyy more and know a lot more about what’s going on, then if they didn’t.
@hatchell18 Mann these people. These campaigns weren't that great to play through compared to now. If I got a friend into the game but they had to cram through all of the original d2 story, expansions etc just to get caught up to the story, they'd drop it. That shits gone for a reason. The game has evolved so far past that point, it's not a proper indicator for how the game is.
Shocking how a story spanning the course of an ENTIRE 10 years isn't easy to access and understand as soon as you pick it up. You gonna watched 23 episodes of one piece and say this shits awful based on what you're digesting 20 years prior to what's event currently relevant? Damn clowns man, lol

It's only my theory but the prismatic and the concept that their thoughts manifest inside the traveller seem to have some sort of inspiration from the movie "Annihilation". Then again, it might just be a coincidence.

This whole campaign seemed very Dante’s Inferno with Cayde as our Virgil leading us through hell on the way to a deeper understanding and conquering of our demons

I missed the cutscene with Ghost right before meeting Cayde, Zavala's cottage scene, Zavala and Cayde Meeting, The Campfire scene and Ikora's theory lol. some of the best, most emotional cutscenes

So here's what we've learned:
Zavala is the one most vulnerable throughout the campaign and will most likely later on.
Cayde is apparently a figment of thought from Crow.
Our Ghost may be the next one in line after Targe, in which I am severly worried.
Again with the temporary alliance with Savathün. Then again, we have Eliksni and Cabal as our allies, so what's more to the roster.
And, to no surprise, Byf is gonna have a field day with this sh*t.
Cayde is not a 'figment of thought' from crow. Wish magic has been a thing in destiny for over 7 years. Did u even play it lmao?

I really love the emphasis on the relationship between Guardians and their Ghost. Bungie really did an amazing job with this.

I think it would be cool to see Cayde be able to give someone light powers and resurrect them as if he was their Ghost, cause Ghost told us he reads like a Ghosts energy

47:45 when sundance talks to cayde - thats The Gardner talking. Not Sundance, or the Traveler. It refers to the traveler as the Traveler. I'm almost certain, like in the raid (when The Witness talks about not being the Winnower), it was The Gardner talking to "us" (cayde).
Cross and Frost being in sync at 27:00 lol. I can't agree more, what an incredible moment. I don't care if any bit of Cayde being alive is fan service, it allows for incredible moments like this and I wouldn't want them to be missing.

The reunion with cayde cutscene was missing when the server gonked out and when I returned, I was so confused
i'm not too big on story games. the older i get the worse the adhd gets and frankly even if i love a game or it's story , once the hyperfixaton dies i just forget. i don't have the brain space to keep up, it's why i've got so many unfinished games in my library, very few games have made me care enough about the story to continue focusing on it, the two biggest ones being Destiny and Nikke (idc if it's the "titty game for coomers", the story is genuinely amazing and so is the gameplay) destiny tho... just something about this game. i know the lore, i have a few of the printed grimoire and want the rest, ive got so many more hours in it than is healthy, and i just can't get enough. anytime the story turns to that first D1 mission, or plays "Journey", or brings up Cayde and so on i can't help but shed some tears. currant errors were hell, but this story is my favorite ive played in a LONG time. something about this game man, just makes me sentimental
My favorite part was where John Destiny was fighting the Witness and it said “This is your destiny too”
I only did the 1st mission so far as i got errord out n was able to get back in n finish. Gunna give it a day or 2 n go back to play more

So the Witness, a being that can stop ships mid air and slice guardians to pieces, decides to just throw a bunch of hands at the vanguard in a hallway like a scooby doo chase? Ok.

I’m blaming this one on the same reason why Rhulk lost to us. Arrogance. Dude is in the pale heart, and has done the final shape before (albeit imperfect and resistant by the Traveler) Dude can see the finish line, and these insects coming in? For someone like the Witness, I can imagine him being a little too cocky.

It's a problem inherent to a villain that is all powerful and wants to "destroy the universe". At that point, the villain has so much power that there's no way to write them in a good way where the heroes can realistically beat them without plot convenience.
Those were all the ghosts flying back to the traveler.
I am gonna through every piece of code this game has to offer into The Witness's crit in that raid.

In the Transmigration cutscene #4 where Cayde is narrating do you think that the sequence of the descent through the Travel is a reference to Dante’s Inferno?
It’s ridiculous how much my group missed on launch day because of the servers…. We didn’t get cut scenes or dialog until probably 3/4 of the way through….
Think maybe Cayde will be able to bestow the light back to Zavala maybe since he is like the Ghost and made of light. Idk just a thought
I don't think I've been more stressed at seeing Sundance being choked by the witness, or Targe actually crushed leaving our commander lightless.

So, I'd say Act 1 of the Final Shape was pretty fun. all things considered given launch server issues and getting used to the prismatic. I can't wait to play Act 2 and 3.

Destiny 2 has gave me vibes from Star Wars, Harry Potter, Naruto, and so many other franchises that I love, it hurts that I left destiny

Bro has been with me since high school, this campaign had my emotions high seeing him back. This is one of many reasons video games are amazing. The emotions they can make you feel are wild.
Honestly an amazing campaign. Although the servers were really bad, they got better once everyone else went to bed.
