LEARN HOW TO AVOID CROWDED NATIONAL PARK TRAILS during the best time to visit National Parks.
Come with us on a beautiful but somewhat gothic looking hike in Olympic National Park on the Hoh River Trail. This is an EPIC hike that definitely needs to be on your BUCKET LIST!
When we finally arrived at Olympic National Park to hike the Hoh River Trail, we were exhausted from getting up before sunrise, driving to the beach, hunting for starfish and having to wait in traffic to get into Olympic National Park. However, once we started our hike on the Hoh River Trail, our exhaustion was quickly slipping away and our inner being was rejuvenated in a way that words cannot explain.
I don't want to spoil this episode by giving out any more information, so lets get to it!

Beautiful ! I can't wait to see the forest next summer.
Hi Lori, it is definitely worth the trip. I hope you have as much fun as we did.
Olympic National Park is one of the most beautiful places to visit.
It is one of our favorite National Parks. We hope you enjoyed our hiking video.
We have camping reservations for August. Can't wait to see trail in person.
We have visited 30 or so National Parks but the Hoh River Trail is one of our top 5 trails of all time. Olympic National Park is very unique with the ocean on one side of the road and the Hoh Rainforest on the other side. I don't think you will be disappointed!
really awesome and beautiful trail! never got to hike this last time i visited since the trail was closed. hoping to visit this summer
Yes, it is! This is one of our favorite trails. I hope you enjoy your trip!
The bonus footage at the end of the Big Cedar Tree was AMAZING! Backcountry Colorado is my bucket list adventure this year!
The Big Cedar Tree is right off of HWY 101 in Olympic National Park and it only takes a few minutes to hike to it.
I've been up the Hoh overnight 6 times. On any ONP trail, I can tell where the day hikers turn around as the trail gets a lot more intimate. There is no comparison between the short over-used interpretive loops and getting out into the actual forest.
Hi @TrailGunnerHikes, this was our first trip to Washington State, and we fell in love with the parks there. We spent 2 weeks visiting and wanted to backpack ONP but my wife (Tina) hurt her knee just before we left for this trip. We live on the east coast, but we hope to come back to ONP to venture further into the forest.
I’ll be I that way in June, hoping they’ll get some rain before I get out there.
I hope your trip to Olympic National Park is everything you are hoping for. It is a beautiful place to visit.
The traffic lines to get into Washington national parks is pretty typical anymore. The Olympics and Rainier can take a long time to get into!
That's why we only did one hike each day and drove in early before the crowds begin to build.
Fun video! Come to Santa Cruz we have banana slugs all over our forest ☺️
Thanks! I hear Santa Cruz is a wonderful place to visit.
@@HikengoSeekers absolutely one of the best places! :)
That was one big yellow banana slug!
Yes it was! I'm glad we didn't go to Olympic National Park without finding one.
When did you film this video? We are going in late June early July to Olympic
Hi Richard, we went the last week of July. Just after the heat wave in WA last year. Without hesitation, we would go back again in July. Enjoy!
@@HikengoSeekers thanks for everything
i thought she was gonna fall in the water
Lol - I thought so too when I was filming her walk across.
