I think there's a certain amount of moral stretching us humans can do when enjoying music made by questionable people. Varg burned churches and killed a guy, on top of having some unPC views. Then you remember that one sick bestard from that one emo band and what he did to a child, and you feel dirty just for thinking about him, let alone going out of your way to listen to his music (which sucked, BTW). Varg's done terrible things, but he's not irredeemable. He's at least honest and takes care of his family.

Your interpretation is fine if I sticked solely to the absolute music, but the song title, which in English means "Circumambulation of the Transcendental Columns of Singularity", points exactly to things that are beyond human affairs and human creations, so it inevitably leads us back to religious naturalism.
