  • AI companies are so delusional expecting the consumers to accept being screwed over, this is my take as an engineer and indie dev. I have no clue what they are doing up there, how can you be so delusional and think that this is what public wants?

Whats your take on AI ?

I've enjoyed watching arrogant holier-than-thou (mostly progressive) artists realize they're getting replaced because AI pumps out better material than their propaganda tier nonsense. Still, I think the cultural decay of a copy of a copy of a copy is going to be a problem. Of course, that's what most modern artists are anyway so...
Guess we'll just wait until AI systems-collapse occurs because too many AI generated images and texts get accidentally included in AI learning data. A 10 year shakeup of the entire artistic industry, however, is certainly required.

Same as yours. Some will use it to work more efficiently. Some will use it to replace jobs. And God knows, I don't want to deal with the hassle of employees in my small business.
I'm excited to finally have a useful voice interface in my computers - we've been working on this for 50 years, and it's finally in sight.

@@Kryptid_K A shake up is always welcome, everything is getting so stale (haven't gone to the movies in forever) so maybe this is the push we need to get some authenticity ?

@@PaulSpadesthe thing is, work more efficiently means one person can do the job of multiple, that means the market has a chance to grow, but if there is no demand for it, you'll inevitably lose jobs.

Amazing work! my take is that it is a tool, and they (the companies) are bleeding the tool and misusing it to try to earn fast money, that's their take, they don't care if they affect or damage anything, as a comment here states, the only way is trying to regulate this by laws, but the future doesn't seem bright for that matter, because ai is growing and changing so fast that is very difficult to regulate the flux of it as a tool.
Hard times, but at the same time you are right, its our duty to spread awareness about it.

Having things made by hand will always be a differential, it happens today in lots of automated fields like clothing, art, food, etc. I'm a broke guy with a dream of making games, I learned how to program and game engines like Unreal made my dream close to reality (instead of needing to pay dozens of experienced developers for years to build an engine, I can simply install and use their product), my current roadblock are 3d assets, and I'm very excited to know that in the near future I won't need hundreds of thousands of dollars to pay 3d artists to make those assets, I'll just pay a dollar or two for a service to generate what I need and move on with my dream. Of course I'd rather have my own engine and a team of talented artists to make my assets, but that's not my reality so having an alternative is a godsend.

Thats really good to hear, I hope it helps you with your game! My previous game had a full team and full time 3d artist. It was nice to have but I didn't learn much, approaching my next game differently this time.
And completely agree, I'm in a similar situation where coding is my weakest link. Hiring a mentor / full time dev is a huge undertaking. AI came in clutch where stuff that took a week to troubleshoot now takes 15 min to breakdown and understand. I found it really helpful to look into big functions and explain it back to in a way that makes sense (also very patient in case I had a million other questions)

Most of the robot arms in a car factory never used AI. There is some research done now on that topic but no, the car factories that use robot arms today do not make use of ai. AI, or at least neural nets were used in many field, but this is an incredibly ill informed video.
AI is hot so you decided to jump on the bandwagon with this misinformed drivel

    • @MostafaNassar
      @MostafaNassar  Před měsícem

I disagree, we used AI cameras to detect defects at specific stations. They do measurements, give out reports and alert engineers of any deviation from the standard process. They even report bottlenecks in the system and give detailed analysis on where you can improve the process

@@MostafaNassarexcept that's not what you say in the video. If you're not a native speaker you might think it is but it really isn't. Ai controlled robot arms are not in use. AI is, ai controlled robotics are not. At least not in the automotive manufacturing industry.

@@AlucardNoir ah so what I said gave the impression that all robots run with AI. I see where you are coming from. But we did use AI for various operations after the robotics, also depends on the factory. All of this was based on my experience and time in the industry

AI is not just neural nets, Neural Networks is the subfield of AI, not the whole field, regular "if-then" systems are considered AI too since they ARE part of AI science sphere.

@@TheManinBlack9054 I mean, technically you are correct, but in practice we've ever only been able to create only the most narrow of AIs with that system. Things like Stockfish. Better at chess than any human alive or dead, but not something most people would call AI, even AI researchers.
You talk to an AI researcher, he tells you just what you wrote and then you see him spend the next 3 years trying to dissuasive students of that very notion.
