- Studying for the MCAT can be intimidating, and the scariest part is not knowing where to start. This test is one of the biggest roadblocks in the path toward medical school, so hopefully, this video helps you succeed. I can't tell you how many videos I searched "how to study for the MCAT" in the CZcams search bar, and I am glad to finally put out a video that will hopefully help people who felt like I did. Best of luck studying, guys!

Wow, this is exactly what I needed to see! Feeling scared and anxious about the MCAT, but watching how you nailed it with a simple study plan in less than 7 minutes is seriously inspiring.
My Grandpa just died from heart failure and numerous heart diseases yesterday. I am a year 6 middle school student, and I want to study cardiology for my grandpa. Therefore I’m studying really early and hard to help me get into an Ivy League school. The school I want to attend the most is Harvard Medical school. This helped me so much!
i’m so sorry about your loss and i am so incredibly proud of you. Your motivators are strong and obtaining this knowledge young and early is incredible. I wish you the best luck!
You should focus on the SATs and SAT subject tests to get into Harvard for undergrad it helps to go to a good undergrad for premed to then go to the med school
i was feeling overwhelrd. i was searching how to study and people well just talking about it genarlly.. thanks for braking it down step by step
❤❤
Dude, i just googled this on a lark to see how the "new" MCAT is vs the one from years ago and holy crap I have never had more respect for med students than I already did. I was in PA school for a bit and my buddies who got into med were doing more in one day of a class/powerpoint/lecturio etc than we did in our entire semester on a single topic which I knew going in that the knowledge gap was gonna be crazy but holy moley its not even in the same galaxy let alone a different league. Great presentation, I sincerely hope that you consider an MBA while in your program b/c you've clearly got the golden touch of making the impossibly scary seem at the very least scary as hell but with a roadmap to steer the way. You would definitely be an amazing entrepeneur for med education products because your energy and vibe is off the scale. When you're chief of neurosurgery/plastics/OMS./derm/rad/anestheiology and optho all at once nobody will be shocked. Best of luck in your career Doc!🧠🦸♀💯
Wait what’s the new mcaf when was it inplemented
I will be preparing for MCAT soon. I really love how educative this video is
Been struggling where to start, luckily i bumped into your vids.
I’m worried about the Chemistry and Biochem section the most frfr. I just suck at math sooo much.
Your hired😊 one day you might even teach doctors a long time far off into the future you're awesome
When you said 2-3 chapters of Kaplan books, per day did you mean from each book? Or just from one of the books? Also, would you recommend working through all of the books at the same time, or finishing them one by one?
I meant 2-3 chapters from a single book! Personally, I worked through one book at a time, but I know people who have done multiple books and found success!
I am not familiar with Jack Westin. When you say you used it, do you mean you bought some package or you just utilized the CARS practice exams which I think are free? Sorry if this is a dumb question and thanks in advance!
is the jacksparrow deck worth it for the physics section. The questions seem really simplistic
does it matter which version of mcat books i get? i wanna get older ones to save money and ive heard some ppl say the content is all the same
could you pls drop the link for the anki and the psych doc? I'm scared to download the wrong things and get a virus.
Starting to make my study plan and was so validated by this video
in regards to doing anki in phase 2 did you do the 2 chapters a day for anki along with the u world questions? im kind of confused on how to format the anki and Uworld in phase 2
Agustina Mills
I have several questions about this exam
1. CAN I GIVE THIS EXAM FROM INDIA
2. I TOOK Physics chemistry and biology in addition of maths in grade 11th-12th
So what subject do i have to study for this exam
3. When should i give this exam !?
I recite from India but unfortunately they don’t take the exam here, you’re going to have to travel to a nearby country which holds the exam plus phy chem bio are kind of similar with some additional topics and a few extra subs, you can research everything about the exam’s syllabus on the internet, as of for when to take the exam, they take the exam all over the year, you can check the dates on their website 🎀
You gotta have a bachelor's degree or be a undergrad student first
Did you take a diagnostic exam before studying? What was your score for that if you took one? Just curious, thanks!
What subjects did you start studying first? A list would be very appreciated.
I just got my Kaplan mcat subject review books but I don’t know where to start.
My rotation is Bio, C/P, CARS, Psych Soc, with 2-3 chapters done at a time or 2 hour max per day, whatever comes first.
Anki for about 20 minutes or until i finish all my due cards, at any point through the day, usually at work.
2 hours a day? why so little, everyone I know studies for a lot longer. I haven't taken it yet so idk much@@BoxOfCurryos
Hey Justine,! I saw you're also following Premed, are you also prepping for the MCAT?
yo so im studying biochemistry right now (i didnt take biochem yet but taking it starting this semester) and I find it hard to get through even 1 chapter with the anki cards. Any tips?
Khan Academy!
Hey! So I’m currently in an accelerated undergrad program in which I take the Mcat end of sophomore year. If I hit my schools 516 or 517 Mcat target, I am almost certainly accepted into their med school. When would suggest I start studying ?
yesterday
What accelerated program are you in @alexsh1523
I hate reading textbooks so I know I’ll struggle by doing all that content review. Do you think I could do well by focusing mostly on practice questions from Uworld and practice exams from AAMC and blueprint for example. I did well in most of my prereqs and never once read a textbook 😅
im kinda the same way. i recommend going straight through with videos as content rev.
I recommend doing miledown anki for content review
@@bernadineguimary1062what videos did you watch? Is there a CZcams playlist or khan academy?

Thank you for this! Do you have any study resource recommendations?
Sketchy medical is the way
Is it important to register for Kaplan or Princeton plan which costs around 4-5k
Hey just came across this video while searching regarding MCAT. I have always wanted to study medicine but couldn't make the cut, so did a Bachelor's and then a Masters with specialization in Animal Physio and Biochemistry. Was working as a PhD scholar in one of the best institutes in my country. However due to some health issues, I had to discontinue my research and resign. I was wondering if it would be worth to go for medicine now as I will be in my 30s. Can I prepare for MCAT?
where is the psych/soc doc??
did you finish uworld entirely (3k+ q's)? and do you recommend prioritizing uworld over aamc qpacks?
I personally did 95% of UWorld! There are varying thoughts on the qpacks, so make your own judgement in that regard. I think UWorld’s explanations are superior, but I don’t think it’s something to get hung up on!
Does it matter what year of kaplan books I should get? Should I get the 2025-2026 version or the 2024-2025? I plan to take the MCAT in 2027
Please make a video on the Syllabus of MCAT...(share the chapters name)
Could you please send a link to your Missed Questions Excel Sheet? Is there an efficient way to make this? Thanks!
Yes I am wondering the same thing please and thanks lol

Where do you get the anki cards for the 86 page doc

did u do the Kaplan textbook questions at the end of each chapter
Hi! If you don't mind me asking, how many cars questions did u do per day
Do you recommend taking 2 classes orgo 2 and physics 2 while studying for the mcat during the spring semester?
Orgo 2 was tougher than 1, I wouldn't imo
@@nooptoop6168 I persoanlly found Orgo 2 to be much easier than 1 because it all comes down to knowing reaction pathways, and that's easy to be memorized if you know what reagents do what.
orgo 2 is much easier imo than 1
hiie do u happen to have the anki cards? the link that is on the reddit page does not work anymore
Hi Justin, I'm studying the MCAT myself and would like to know if you could drop the link Anki.
Did you cover subject a day or diss you split it into 2?
how were you able to complete 5-7 CARS questions in 2-3 minutes?
2 or 3 chapters a day and i can barely do one chapter
So when should I start studying for the MCAT, Juniors or Seniors? I am an incoming freshman to college, and I was thinking of studying now, but it might be too early.
Freshman year is too early to start studying for the MCAT! You can just focus on doing well in your classes for now. I would recommend taking the MCAT after you've done most of the premed prereq classes and potentially studying for it junior year or senior year if you need a gap year!
@@justin_mendoza Alright, thanks for the advice. Just the thought of taking the MCAT kinda scares me, but I think I am even more scared on Interviews. I wish I had the confidence you had to ace the interviews for the medical schools. But only time will tell how well I will handle it in the future. Thanks again.

Hey man, awesome video😁 Im not able to find the Jack sparrow set. Is it under a different name? If you could list the names of all the sets of flash cards you used online that would be helpful.
Jack sparrow?
I am planning to take 2 gap years so I wanted to ask for how long is the mcat score eligble for?
5 years
Double check this too for your school! I know some schools have different timelines for MCAT@@jannatirfan6487
hi miss haider
How many total hours do you prep over the 6 months?
Thanks
I wouldn’t say I know the exact amount of hours, but when I was studying full time, I spent around 8 hours a day studying!
