how do you measure your glass to fit the mirror insert? any good ratios or patters for this?

It's just trial and error. You just have to spend time and try different sized to find the perfect fit. And it's not always perfect because stained glass is not precisely 3mm in thickness.

Is it the gem at the back that determines the Starburst effect in the middle? I don't know where to look for objects to get these kind of effects... ps: I just found your channel and its so helpful and inspiring! Subbed
