Today I'll share with you five quick and easy tips that I used when learning to write with my left hand. Hope this video helps anyone interested in being a leftie or learn to use their non dominant hand.
Tips I forgot to include:
Try to spend at least 10 minutes or even 5 minutes a day writing with your left hand.
Practice makes perfect

I was born left handed. My dad forced me to become right handed. I started writing with my left and doing all things with my left hand. It only took me 6 months. If you're like me, forced right handed, please, please, please, know that you can reverse that torture we went through. :')

As a left hander, your writing is very interesting to me. I primarily push the pen/pencil forward and I know right handers tend to pull their writing utensils. So it's interesting that your writing has a left leaning slant to it. A natural left hander gets accustomed to writing with a right slant. In your next practice, I suggest positioning the paper/board to your left.

I used to be ambidextrous, but my kindergarten teacher told me that I had to choose one. So naturally my young little boy brain believed her, and now I am primarily right handed. Took me about 2 weeks to learn to write with my left hand again. I'm so glad to be able to switch over again, and I'm never going to trust a teacher when she tells me how I should be writing, not after that day.

Same, I used to be ambidextrous but my parents and teachers always force me to use my right hand in writing.😂 I'm still ambidextrous in other things, I can also write with my left hand, recently I found out that my left arm can do great calligraphy than my right arm only in large font size, pero pagmaliitan na ang layo ng pinagkaiba, ibang level na kasi yung right hand ko.😅 I can right na maliit lang yung font size with my left hand but only in cursive.

my personal tips to improve left hand writing:- (based on my own experience, it worked for me)
1. *Start with pencil first.* :-
pens are usually of different sizes and shapes. some works smoothly and some are rough. so pencil helps you to have a perfect grip and you'll be able to perfectly hold a pen afterwards because you'll have a fixed angle of your hand and fingers which will reduce discomfort while writing and your pen will not be shaky while writing. writing with pencil is like a basic practice to start writing with a hand that never did before. kids also learn to write with pencil first and then use pens.
2. *Start with practicing alphabets first. both Capital and small letters.* :-
your left hand is not experienced in writing like your right hand is. so treat your left hand like a child and make your left hand practice to write every alphabet perfectly.
3. *use your Right hand work as a comparison* :-
try to get the same handwriting like your right hand has. compare your left handwriting with you right hand's writing style because your brain already knows how your right hand's writing style is, so it will be easier for your left hand to follow the same style. like this, you will be able to improve your left hand writing quickly. trying to adopt a new writing style will be waste of time, difficult and you can probably not use both your hands to write your school notes.
4. *Write slowly at the beginning* :-
Some believe that writing fast will help them write better, but you will never improve like that. because when you write fast, your handwriting only gets worse so your left hand will never know how to write perfectly. so first try to write slowly. take as much time you need but try write beautifully. once you are satisfied with your writing, slowly increase your speed of writing.
5:- *Write different languages* :-
Yeah, languages are different from each other, both in speaking, reading and writing. so if you practice to write in different languages, your hand will get much fluency in writing. this way, your handwriting will improve better quickly and it will look beautiful.
6. *Start drawing with your left hand* :-
Just like writing different languages, drawing also helps to get pretty handwriting and your fingers will be able you write letters perfectly and beautifully.
7. *practice two pages a day* :- two pages are enough. if you write excessively, your hand will hurt. make sure you write beautifully even if it takes time.
8. *Write on white pages* :-
White pages have no lines or boundaries so your hand is free to move. it looks clear and neat so your mind will make sure to not mess up the page with ugly and silly mistakes. White page also motivates you to have a beautiful handwriting.
that's all guys. all these tips worked for me and now after 2 months, I can write perfectly with my left hand and now my parents can't even tell the difference between my left and right hand writing.

what about grip? same grip as my right hand?
if you guys want to write by the left hand so you should do all your daily tasks by the left hand ( using phone , playing PlayStation , cooking , driving car , .... etc ) except eating of course🤭. like this you, are giving trainings to your left to be the controller , after a couple of weeks you will see the difference ♥ then, writing by your left hand a little bit will be easier.

Or (another way but for writing)If you wanna try to be left handed do the ambidextrous challenge where you write the alphabet for me I do the alphabet 2-3 times a day but you can do it for as long as you like then when you get good at writing the abc try writing lyrics of a song (1 some everyday for me atleast) then if you want to do something bigger maybe write a movie script or something! This is just an idea if you want to I’ve been doing this and it’s actually really good now! Also if you think you are good with writing try moving onto other things besides writing lie the things they said!

Think and also look at what you do. You do not use one hand for everything. Yes, you have a dominant hand but they work together. That is why God gave us two hands, to use as a pair.

I got tenosynovitis (inflammation of tendon, i.e., a tissue that connects bone to muscle) on my right wrist because of overuse. Now I'm advised to rest my hand but I still gotta prepare for my exam :) Glad most of us we got 2 hands

I was born right handed, though, for some reason, when i was 9, i really really wanted to learn to use my left hand instead of my right hand, so i practiced... A LOT. I ended up becoming ambidextrous instead of switching my dominant hand, i really don't have a feel for which hand is my dominant hand anymore, my handwriting is equally good with both hands, my drawing skills too, throwing stuff, picking up stuff...

Tori Rose I’m naturally right handed but about 18 months ago I practiced doing 1 handed texting with my LEFT hand when I was sat on the sofa incase I dropped my phone & now I always use my left hand even when I’m walking around but still can handle it just as good with my right hand, I've also started picking up my cup of tea & drinks with my left hand, one weird thing is I've ALWAYS held my Knife & Fork the left handed way round & until my mid teens I wore my watch the left handed way round but I created a challenge for myself to see how long I could go wearing it the right handed way round but EVENTUALLY I got so used to it that I always wear it the right handed way round now but it doesn’t feel weird on the original arm I wore it on, actually I might try wearing it on the original arm I wore it on, I’ve even been practicing writing with my left hand, first I practiced the full alphabet in lower case & capitals & now I’ve began practicing writing sentences in joined up writing with my left hand & it’s getting neater & it doesn’t take as long as it did when I first started practicing writing with my left hand

I have always been pretty much ambidextrous. I write and draw with my right hand but everything else I do equally with both hands and I like holding spoons with my left hand more when I eat, it just always seemed more comfortable. So recently I decided to fix the only thing I can't do with both hands, writing. I have been pretty much following these tips. The first day it was such a foreign feeling, holding a pencil with my left hand. By the third I was already faster and had a lot more control and by day 5 I was already pretty comfortable with writing even if I erase a lot more than when I am writing with my right hand (still can't draw with my lefty half as well as with my right hand though, which I am still working on).
I suspect in part the reason this was such an easy ride for me was probably also because I already did everything else with my left hand anyway, it already had some precision from doing everyday tasks, eating, etc.
I use my left hand to eat and do other basic activities. I also found it more comfortable too eating with left hand. Awesome job transitioning to using both hands pretty equally. I think we're pretty similar in this experience. Sadly I can't draw well with either hands.

It depends on how much you practice and what is considered decent handwriting with your left hand. I would say half a year to several years to become better at penmanship with non dominant hand.

Im having surgery in a month and a half on my right shoulder and my arm will be in a sling for two months... that will take me through the end of my school semester and finals. I got to learn how to write with my left hand quick
I wish safe surgery and quick recovery. Don't push yourself too hard. I think you can learn to write with non-dominant hand but writing quickly will take time. I'm still sometimes slow

I write with my left hand. But recently I learned to write with my right hand.
I would like to tell you that please practice with a pencil.
Pencil lead provides sufficient friction for you to be able to write with your new hand. The tip of the pen/marker is smooth, it slips very easily as your hand is not used to holding the pen. Once you have gained command on the flow of the words you can comfortably use a pen.

Years ago I had a broken right wrist so I had to do everything left handed. I can throw a frisbee left handed better than with my right hand and I was writing with my left hand but I guess I was too self conscious and so I stopped but now I wanna give it another try. Lefty 👏🏼👏🏼

Here was my motivation: major pain in my right hand on the ulnar (pinky finger) side that would show up for a week at a time and be aggravated by playing clarinet and by writing. I can't swap hand position on clarinet, so I started taking notes in my classes left handed and did that for two years. I ended up using my left hand on a blue book test when the pain in my right hand became unbearable to give my right hand a much needed two minute break (I didn't have a lot of stamina in my left hand at the time). I still practice.

I was born left handed, but when I was younger, maybe 3, I remember I would always draw stickman and write my abc’s and just random words. My dad told me that “That’s the wrong hand to write with, you write with your right hand” or “You write with your right hand, not your left” something similar but yeah. My left hand writing is pretty decent it’s a little slanted and my b’s look weird, along with my 6’s but I’m practicing to become left handed again.
