  • A 6×4 or six-by-four is a vehicle with three axles, with a drivetrain delivering power to two wheel ends on two of them. It is a form of a four-wheel drive but not one of an all-wheel drive. A semi-trailer truck, also known as a semi-truck, is the combination of a tractor unit and one or more semi-trailers to carry freight. A semi-trailer attaches to the tractor with a type of hitch called a fifth wheel
A new high-tech truck from Mercedes is on the road, and you can see what it looks like in this video. Camera mirrors, touch screen display, wireless charging for phones, and lots of new features. Stay tuned and enjoy.
Actros, the Mercedes-Benz leader. The Actros was introduced interestingly at the IAA International Motor Show for Commercial Vehicles in 1996 and addressed a series of Mercedes-Benz Trucks. In significant distance transport, it incorporates the Actros, the Actros L, the Actros F, the Actros for loads as much as 250 tons, also the Actros with semitrailer tipper for the development area, the Actros in short-span circulation haulage and, obviously, the eActros
Mercedes Actros 2663 is powered by the 630hp version of the DD16 16-litre six-cylinder Detroit engine. This is mated to the 12-speed automated transmission and then to 3.5:1 hypoid rear axles.
The fuel infusion framework utilizes the "siphon line-spout" (PLD) guideline, with every chamber having its own infusion siphon driven by its own cam on the camshaft. This is an enhancement for the guideline of the unit siphon which has been used for quite a long time.
MirrorCam is an option. It uses cameras and screens in place of traditional mirrors and for my money, it’s an option worth having. In my opinion, it gives a better view of the truck and what’s going on around it than traditional mirrors do. It doesn’t vibrate, it adjusts to the light, it doesn’t fog up as it’s heated, and even though I have used the system in various conditions from daylight, to fog, rain, and at night, I have not found fault with it.
The Predictive Power Control, or PPC as it’s known in Actros-speak, uses topographic maps in the GPS to ‘see’ where the truck is and, when the radar cruise control is on, it can predict contours in the road and so vary the acceleration needed to either get up a hill or roll-off near the top of the hill using the truck’s momentum to get it over the top.
