I changed my desk position based on one of Cliff’s videos and it was literally life changing. I felt so meek at work and now I’m so much happier and more authoritative. I enjoyed his book and applied other tips to other rooms too.
I had a room like this with the first solution but put the bed a bit more away from the door and a "barrier" (shelf with plant) on the right side of the bed. No need for a couch either. The free space in front of the window really feels nice, bright and like you have more space.
It seems like the dude wants the blue wall to be mostly blank to do fashion shoots and tiktok. That's why the bed, the toys and the desk are cramped on the other side.
@@seraby7151 but he didn't said so. Maybe he would have if that's really important. I think my room is not that perfectly Feng shui because of that. I need some space for doing yoga near the window and my desk has to be there too. But my layout is better than before now
@@seraby7151with the first option he can actually use the open wall next to the window as his backdrop for photo shoots and the light will be amazing in every shot.
In the UK it is standard for the door to open into the room (to shield the room from view when going in). This can cause a lot of problems in placing items but does offer more privacy. Not better or worse, just saying.
I live in the US but I've never really seen interior doors that open outward. Maybe if there's like a double door fancy sitting room area or something but generally for bedrooms and such, they open inwards. I used to love my childhood bedroom for the fact that my bookshelf fit perfectly behind the door so it could only be accessed if the door was shut(or at least not fully open). To my kid-brain, that meant it was secret so I was the only person who could ever use it and see those books lol
So you Brits not only drive on the wrong side, but also hinge your doors on the wrong side, too? Cause it sounds like it creates a narrow feeling corridor into the room when opening the door and it would definitely be very annoying if what you want to get to is right besides the entrance. Like, my gaming PC/homeoffice desk, which is to the right side of the living room door. It would be sooo annoying if the door opened towards my desk, rather than towards the small corner with a chimney cutting into it, where I store my vacuum cleaner and can keep it hidden behind the always open door. I definitely prefer doors opening towards the near wall. It creates a nice open path into the room and makes it unlikely for the door to get in the way.
Layout 2 does it more for me, but i completely agree with the wardrobe being "out of site" per se. Honestly your videos have helped me so much with laying out interiors ❤️
usually these things are just wastes of time and intentionally create situations where you cant even move in the room but this was actually helpful for everyone trying to figure out their layout.
Probably because the room also functions as a bedroom, you can’t really do a command position(?)He does say the best place to put a desk is where the light falls. This would be near the window, but then you would have to place the bed near the door. Not good feng shui. At the same time you don’t want to place a desk next to a bed. So this is mind fkery😅
@@sincerelysof you can always put a low height cabinet or a chest drawer at the end of the bed to block the energy from the door. Also you are vulnerable when your door is open, people look right at you in a helpless lying down position, makes sure the robbers can drag you out of your bed at night!
I don't think it's as bad when the foot of the bed is far away enough from the door. Also, because of the placement of the desk in that version, the first thing you see is the corner of the chair, not the foot of the bed, so it's not as bad.
