If they aren't creased you could put them in penny sleeves and then put them in a book to straighten them.
Yea people just dont use brain cells now 😔
or under a rug
@@ramstabto you to do that for
@@mysterion6738people believing that muk was in that same pack lack braincells
You can also use an iron
Hopefully all those card protectors you put on em straightens him out (x
Get high grade sleeves, put it it hard plastic card protectors, then put between two dictionaries.
@@sebas.90210 put em between 2 bbw’s , will be flat as a feather 🪶
@@LuffyDYami feathers aren't flat
@@theplastic_crack_addict so u take everything literally everyone says ur a fun person
@@LuffyDYami nah he does have a point why did you use a feather as a example coulda chose anything else 💀
Those cards are absolutely fixable a little warmth and something heavy would have that stack flat as can be in just a few days
Yep I put mine underneath a 30lb granite slab and they straightened out in 3 days 😂
No warmth. That's definitely not necessary and can actually make the card worse.
ONLY weight. Nothing else.
The way I get rid of the bow bend in my cards or at least make it look better is, just putting the cards in a sleeve and then in the back of a big binder with other cards. Just let the bent cards sit in there for a couple weeks or months and when you check again it’ll be significantly less bent.
Would a top loader work, too?
You can also put them between books works perfect
@Privé yes best way books on top of the pack leave for a day
just heavy, flat stuff works too, great idea though
I wonder if a low temp heat press may help if you protect the cards enough too
Idk why we act like bowing is irreversable
All the cards being bowed.meanwhile the muk:🗿
The kum
I've heard that using silica gel packets help straighten warped cards. Never tried because I don't have warped cards but I do keep silica packs with some of my stuff
Its worked for me, I had a mtg deck start to bow on me. I tossed a gel packet in my deck box with them and they went back to straight. Granted they weren't as bad as these though. I also keep gel packets in with my Pokémon cards, they are all still good and a good chunk of them are from the original base set bought when they were still new.
I'm convinced that creators seal pack with cards they have for content. It's hard to believe there are still packs like this floating around.
You'd be surprised. A surprising number of unopened, 20+ year old packs of cards pop up online. I think a lot of people bought them up on clearance way back in the day, or bought them a case at a time, and just put them in their closet and forgot about them.
I think they can just afford to spend insane amount of money on packs. There's almost no way they are in a profit with the cards, but they make more than enough to account for the loss with CZcams income.
How is that hard to believe? There is so much new old stock in the world
He's going to make more than $400 off the one video alone lol
Some fans of creators will remember the one pack they have from 1999 and send it to them.
Some people go to card shops/shows and will actually pay hundreds for a sealed pack.
Some will be true collectors and open their own sealed packs now that CZcams is a way to make money from the packs.
Can't you just leave the cards pressed between two heavy objects for a lil bit to fix the bends??
There’s better ways to do it. The card is probably just dried out over time and location of storage, if left with humidity packet in small container it rehydrates the card back to flat. It’s weird how it works.
@@nicalnate
Ok that does probably work for some dry aged cards, but these specific cards were crammed odd into a pack making it too tight and forced curved for decades.
They look better bent its like 2006 nostalgia when you pull em out your pocket to show your friend
Lmao yeh 😂
But imo they look better in a psa 10 box thingy
Fraudulent Pokemon lovers
@@user-pq4ep2sl7y now days its 10k for one card that they make several of so they shouldnt be expensive
that muk wasn't fully committed on bending yet
That card knew it's worth
The nostalgia sent me reeling. The smells, the feel, the excitement; lately it's something I've been looking for. Nostalgia.
I remember the days I used to buy the first gen TCG boosters as a kid. I'm usually not really a fan of nostalgia, but this is clear exception.
If u put it in a sleeve and top loader then put a book on top for a few hours it should flatten and will be super protected being in a top loader hope this helps
It just need a little heat to flatten it. Happens when cards are stored somewhere cold and has a lot of moisture
Guy casually opening a Pokémon pack that’s cost more than me
And his best card in it only being worth $15. 🤣
14 cent to make pack, actually. You're worth more.
Correct me if I'm wrong but shouldn't this not effect grading? Because once it gets put into a PSA grading case the card will straighten out?
No it will definitely effect grading
Natural warps not counted against you grading companies
Wrong. Needs pressed before grading and before encapsulating. BUT, go ahead and put it in a plastic protective sleeve before pressing with something heavy to prevent ink transfer.
That Muk looked CLEAN! compared to the other cards
Exactly my thoughts, since its not even bent either. So much fake content.
Normally, that indicates that there is a Holo in the pack because cards with a foil surface can eventually bow in a pack over time. I have a sealed base set 2 pack and it is bowed like that as well, indicating that there most likely is a Holo inside.
Don’t holos cause it to bow the opposite way? Would be the reason the Muk wasn’t as bad?
@@chesterfieldmcfistycups2836 you can see it in the card like you described so i think you are right
Open it and find out 😂
This is not that. The Holo was the least bent
Bruh it pains me to see those cards like that! 🤯 great vid tho
Equal pressure press will flatten it out
Give those cards to the Westboro Baptist church, they’ll straighten them out for you lol
If there is no creases, then put the card in a penny sleeve, and between 2 large hard cover books for a few days. It straghtens it out no problem
funny that the muk was the least bent. those old holos where notorious for bending all on their own
Honestly I would put something heavy over it for a little bit to make it flatter
Stick em in the middle of a textbook, place a 5 lb weight on it after you've closed it. Leave it for 13 days. It'll come on straight as if they'd never been bent
Sleeve + 2 days in a heavy book! No Problem 😂
That’s crazy how the rare wasn’t as bent as the others
For sure- the bends in of the other cards must have protected the last one. If it would have bent from back to front, that Muk would have been toast.
No way that Muk isn't bent like the others.. smells fishy.
Exactly what i said, dude seeded the muk to get more views.
I disagree, I don't think pokerev is the type to do that, and its still bent. I think its just more obvious with the other cards because hes holding them in a stack
youtubers and their reseal packs nowadays
Put two heavy ass books on it over night. Problem solve 😂
When you dont know books exist:
Put those cards in a container with moisture bags inside to fix the bending
Wow! It will take time but the will eventually straighten out if they haven’t been visibly creased!
crazy how the hit wasnt bent... almost like it wasnt in the pack with the rest.
Even tho it’s bent, He called me broke in a least 100 ways
Could of just left it under some heavy books for a few weeks 😂
you can always slowly get them bent back since they arent damaged.
Weird to see the foil survive while the regular cards pringled like that.
That psyduck gave his life for the Muk.
Wow the placement of the Holo must be really ideal to avoid getting bent.
Best solution I have found for bowed cards is to sleeve it up and put it in a ultra pro binder one that’s already filled with cards place it in one of the center pages and over time it will evenly flatten the card back to its normal state.
Put protectors on them and lay it flat as possible and place something completely flat and decently heavy on it
So with comics when they get old you can take a press and line them up repress them flat and they look WAY better. This also doesn’t ruin the grading because you aren’t altering the product. I would suggest pressing them individually you can just use a heavy stack of books if you already have them and it works the same way
Damn I have 4 holo muks in my closet that has been opened and straight into a protective folder.
Booster packs were the loot boxes of the 90s
If you go to a photo lab they should have a heat press table. 10 minutes to flat cards!
I don’t know what would be worse…having a bent pack with a MAJOR hit or just having a $400 bent pack with nothing in it. I feel like getting a huge hit that’s bent would be more soul crushing than just not getting anything
I remember having so many of these cards and just binned them all when I became a cool teen haha
Yeah so if no crease, just press all of them. If worried about ink transfer just put something blank plastic between them.
It's slightly bent but you might be able to bend it back into shape
You can use a light heat compress to get cards to flatten out.
Put a heavy book on top of it for a day or two, or put a towel on top and then a cinder block on top for a while to flatten it out...
In all fairness, if a pack like that is so bent then it’s worth not even close to $400
That holo Muk is my favorite card. My 12yr old brother died from brain cancer when I was 10, and he left me a few Pokémon cards, the best of which was a holo Muk just like that. I didn’t keep it over the years but now that I have kids of my own and they’re getting into Pokémon, I’ve been meaning to track down a holo Muk in remembrance.
I see nobody has a soul here, or maybe just don’t have kids or siblings, or a heart. Either way, I’m so sorry for your loss. I hope you have the absolute best memories of him and this is a beautiful tribute for your brother. He was a kind soul to leave something for you to remember him by. I hope you manage to snag a 1st edition fossil set holo muk.
I used to just place a pan above the pack and weights inside the pan (put a magazine between so you avoid prints from the pan, or just the toploader can work
Funny to see a pack bend the opposite way that the hollows usually go. Holo was the best shape of all 😂
You could wrap them in a shirt and carefully iron it. Put something heavy on it..
How freakin luck that it was the only card not bent!
I would penny sleeve in and put it in a book and add more weight to it and I would keep it near a heating vent so as it warms up and the pressure you would never know
The value people are starting to put on things that cost significantly less has gotten out of hand
I have 2 of these my mom forgot to give me on Christmas back in the day . They are chillin in my room
Maybe put that sucker in the middle of the thickest book you've got in the house, lay it flat and stack some more books...???
Next time put a heavy book over the sealed car for a couple of days it would straighten them up
Did anyone else used to call them "Foils" vs "Hollows" as a kid?
They're not bent. Its warped. Doesnt effect grading at all unless theirs a crease
Top loaders and thicker sleeves might help flatten those-
Ah its ok, get it graded and cased. No more bend. Lol
You still see bends in slabs (source: have one lol)
Me be like when I spend over 400 for that pack:
what I dooooooo bro
I freakin love the OG holos. Maybe I’m just a gen 1’er who doesn’t appreciate the newer stuff, I just loved the simplicity of them without reverse holos, artwork, 900 different sets. Original and fossil was as far as I got
toploaders fix bent cards. if there's no crease it's easy to fix.
To be fair it's 25 years old 😅... I just put it in to a sleeve book and they flatten out good as new
My childhood
I was barely sentient when Pokémon made its debut
Shouldve left a heavy book on top of the pack for a few weeks. Can still be done in sleeves and top loaders
They will come out bend free
Yo thats wild. I remember having a ton of hollows, first editions. Back when they came out, kinda just disappeared over the years.
I wouldn't have opened them if I knew all that
The other cards gave their lives to keep that Muk flat 😂
Wow that’s the way I remember Pokémon cards, idk about all these newer releases.
Holo still good bro. Put that Slime Muk in a sleeve and shove it in a big think book for a few days it’ll straighten out then grade it. 😁
I think its hilarious that cloyster has the same hp as a gastly and psyduck
“Hi Pokerev here. This is a 400 dollar iron..”
idk whats even gonna happen now, your gonna open the pack and see cards wow inscredible theres cards in a pack
All you need is a big hardcover book. If you leave them in the book or under the book then wait a bit they should be flat
It's called warped and easy to fix leave it under a heavy book for a couple weeks fixes the issue
put them under a book
simple
Totally didn't bend the muk back and try to get away with damaging the card further ❤
I have this same pack 1st edition sealed Fossil with the Lapras art, but damn mine isn’t bowed like that 😂
I’m having diarrhea
I’m having diarrhea
good thing bends like that don't bring down value
Warping is not a deal breaker by no means I have fixed a ton of cards with that issue, I’m sure there’s other methods some may be better than others but what I used to do was stretch wax paper or some kind of temp resistant plastic over a boiler with warm/hot water and I’d set the card on there and almost immediately it’ll flatten back out and there’s no damage. Tbh a heating pad just might do it and that would be about as safe as it gets
That's surprising that the muk was the least bent because mostly it's the foils that bend first
I found a holo muk from 1999 in my pokemon colection, it's scratched tho so it's probably not worth a lot anymore :( if it was graded it'd prob be an 1 or 2 due to the scratches
If only there was a protective case that holds them flat
The Pringle packs always had the holos… ong
I would’ve laughed and cried at the same time if he pulled a Zard 😂 😭
I remember when me and my friends used to call reverse holo's and holo's "shinies".
Like the comment if you used to call them shinies
Edit: the shinies are for plural btw
I remember opening those as a kid. Lol
i think that has been resealed for the CZcams views
You should put them between a book or something, theyll straighten themselves out eventually
Never seen anyone so happy about getting scammed 400 bucks
Bind it to a completely flat thing like a book and give it a look every few months, thats an easy fix.
Place it under some heavy books with a dumbbell on top
