Amari Resort Phuket - good or not so good for a family stay ? Full resort review and room tour

- Our family of four - with 2 kids ( 4 year old and 8 year old ) stayed in a very famous resort in Phuket specially among Indians
Amari Phuket
Why we choose the resort?
- location it is close to patong beach and Bangla market
( though the tuk tuk charges 200THB for one side transportation to patong beach )
And the uphill walk is very straining especially for kids
- mesmerising views - they have amazing views from everywhere in the resort from restaurant to rooms
But how long can one enjoy the view after a point it’s done
- vegetarian food availability
Food taste is fine and lots of vegetarian options are available
- kids club - kids club with play station
Why we won’t go for it again ?
Or not advice for a family with kids ?
- Reception too far from the room
- lack of safety and security for kids
( glass in balcony and everywhere around is just not safe )
- concrete pavements - vardham felt on his knees and bruised them badly
- boring / lack of fun activities ( beach connectivity is poor )
No whirlpool or kids separate swimming pool
No events or live music / concert etc
Ok ok points -
- Free shuttle service from hotel to patong beach ( 5pm to 7pm ) on prior booking
- room is fine

real good review. Exactly what I was looking for. Travelling with a 8 month old soon, now thinking of booking Four points by Sheraton instead of Amari.
Glad it benefited you .. with 8 months old I am sure it will be tough as there is no market near by in case you need anything urgent for the infant
