Trail Running | Empowering Women to Hit the Trails | Force of Nature

REI's Force of Nature initiative is focused on leveling the playing field and encouraging women to get outside. As part of the campaign, they awarded groups across the nation with grant money to host events that would do just that.
The Ice Age Trail Alliance in Wisconsin was one of those grant recipients. This event was focused on introducing women to trail running and helping them learn how to navigate the trail. Another goal was to show women that the trail runs right through urban settings, making it easy to hop on the trail as part of an everyday routine.
Wigwam Mills is a dedicated supporter of the Ice Age Trail and was an integral part of putting on this event.
