Are you on drugs? I think it's a shame that women's football doesn't get the support it needs to become as good as men's football, but I'm not going to twist reality. Women's football lacks consistency, intensity, precision and in general a lot of work. You do them a disservice by not admitting reality dude.

***** Well I have played on different artificial surfaces and there can be a huge difference, from stuff that will graze your knee when tying your laces to not noticing much difference to grass. I would imagine there have been advancements since I played but if it's still inferior then there could be several reasons to use it. One is the cost of maintenance, because the ladies' game doesn't bring in anything close to the men's revenue. Another reason could be that they were not confident that they could maintain the quality of real pitches throughout a whole tournament. I have no idea what the state of Canadian soccer is but I would imagine it would be difficult and costly to maintain a grass pitch through Canadian winters (which is the midpoint of the soccer season in most countries).

How can u tell...they cut to another camera when she is already running and the ball is more then a quarter away in the air...unless they showed a replay of the pass from the far camera showing her offside once the ball was kicked then u can say that.

I told you guys about Spain in my previous comment against Costa Rica that these girls aren´t going to make it to the second round unless through third pace selection why because they refuse to take direct shots instead they prefer hanging or angling the ball on both sides of the post which is quiet unlikely to get a goal.
The coach should be aware of that and ask them to use the tip or side of their foot directly for a shot when approaching a goal and maybe a deflection or rebound will help get a goal.
If they don´t, they will not proceed to the next round. Mark my word again.

The first 2 shots from this video tells you that for women's soccer, keeper doesn't need to come forward for the ball, the opponent's forward will mess it up themselves if the keeper just sits there. If the keeper does come forward, that would be an easy goal. jk....
