To answer your question...I've beaten Fallout 4 previously on Xbox when it first came out. I bought it on PC...and started modding. This game has become so much more fun with these mods it's like having 7 different games in one. New animations, new guns, hell even new quests. I highly recommend giving this a shot...just make sure you have a good PC

Sell your console and get a PC, you can get a pretty great one for less than $200. The exact build I have (i7 870, RX 480, 16 GB RAM, you could get for around $150 which gives you so much value. Even more if you settle for 900p (my case it's 1600x900px75Hz), ultra settings.) Runs and looks flawless compared to consoles. You won't be getting much upgradability outside of hard drives, if you want to make any changes you'll probably end up building another PC, but for most games an i7 870 works fine. Even better if you optimize Windows 10 for gaming on a older system.
My alternate start mod of choice is Start Me Up. After you create your character in that prewar section of the game, the moment you walk out of the bathroom, a menu will appear where you get to choose your *actual* backstory. What I really appreciate about it is the fact that if you don't end up playing as Shaun's parent, the dialogue is reworked so that your character never refers to Shaun as their son, Codsworth is just a crazy robot that thinks you're his owner, and mentions of you being a Vault Dweller are removed. There are a handful of issues with this, especially if you have the Tales From the Commonwealth mod (important new NPCs introduced in that mod might have conversations relating to the whole family dynamic your character would have if they were actually Nate/Nora, even with StartMeUp installed), but otherwise it's really clean how your character is transformed by the removal of these lines. When you start a new game, once you leave the bathroom, the first menu tells you that you're in a dream: the first two options leave you as "Nate/Nora the Sole Survivor", with an option to skip this entire prologue. One of the options lets you just play through the prologue if you really want to (something like "I'm not ready to wake up yet") or to skip the prologue to when you wake up in your Cryopod ("I don't want to relive this again"). If you don't want to be the Sole Survivor, there's a plethora of options. One still lets you be "The Sole Survivor", but you're not strictly Nate/Nora. You're a different Vault 111 dweller who ended up escaping alive instead of one of Shaun's parents, and witnessed what Kellogg did, at least as far as I know. The moment you download this mod, if you were in the middle of the story, it'll convert your dialogue into the "Other Vault Dweller" lines. Otherwise, you can be anything from a Raider to an Institute employee to a traveling NCR ranger, all with different starting equipment. You'd choose where you start, so you can choose to start near Vault 111 anyways if you wanna get started with the main story right away, otherwise there's dozens of other start locations like Diamond City, the Glowing Sea, the Eastern Relay Tower, etc. You can choose your experience level (you can start even at over Level 100 if you wanted), and finally you can choose how much you start with (related to who your are, from "Just the clothes on my back" which is essentially nothing, to "Plenty of supplies" where you'd already have at least one gun with tons of ammo and plenty of aid items.) Any start where you aren't a Vault 111 dweller (whether or not you're Shaun's parent) will start you with a quest "Rumors of a Vault" where you can start the main story by exploring Vault 111 and finding Nate/Nora dead on the ground, having failed their escape, where you'd pick up a Holotape of the Kellogg incident they witnessed.
Definitely wouldn't mind a part 2 or 3 to this. I remember there was a unique uniques (Or a variant therein) that made the unique weapons more... Unique. Yeah, but on Day 1? What was the bonus pre-order content? Did they have a detailed road map, or even NPCs from the start? I doubt that the loot boxes gave you anything good back then,. Except maybe different colored skins. for the few armors that came with the base game. Oblivion is probably just pure nostalgia, no game comes with that much content, well maybe after a couple years.
DogTown it’s funny you should say that it only goes along with my point; Oblivion actually has excellent loot in the Ayleid Ruins and pretty much all inside spaces. Even better thing is everyone levels with you, that means vs Skyrim and Fallout, you’re actually given the good armors and weapons right off your enemies bodies. Roads are very detailed. I truly remember the character of ruins, cities, characters more than any of the idk.. 1000 hours I’ve played in Fallout?
@@TheHam-mw5fc Oblivion had the best ruins, and caves. People complained they were all samey, and you had to do too much back tracking. So now Beth makes it so there's always some cheap way you always end up back where you started. That's clever, sure, but I liked the feeling of depth, knowing I'd have to go all the way back. And a big plus is that I could gather all the loot I'd miss, on the way back out. Those Aylied ruins were so full of character and atmosphere, it makes the caves and fortes of Skyrim feel generic in comparison. And each major City has t;s own unique charm, maybe why it's my favorite TES of all time.

It's funny, I never get tired of Oblivion.....Because when you paid for it came with interesting content
Game: Your mind clouds. Reality blurs and twists, as if breaking apart. Do you awaken from this reality and into another?
Me: *Chooses Awaken*
Also me: *Poses while the Pillar Men theme is playing in the background*
Dude... Fallout 4 was released 33,120 hours ago. You've spent a tenth of that time playing Fallout 4.
When you say 2.4 hours a day it doesn't sound so bad but then you take into consideration if he missed two months ina year he would lose -134.4 hours of playtime meaning in 10 months he would play like 672 hours of fallout 4......oof
At 9:03 when that guy got basketball bounced I lost it 😂😂
