when I bought the game I started it up, killed the first few things and instantly downloaded the blood textures... I have 1 achievement after 200 hours in the game

One of the best moments I ever had was standing inside the Red Rocket and literally just watching a thunderstorm outside (weather mod)
The lightning literally just literally up everything for a second then returned to total darkness...
I’ve never understood the obsession with darker nights. Every single “ideal” setup for a Bethesda game I’ve tried has some combination of lighting overhaul and ENB that’s gorgeous during the daytime, but impossible to get anything done at night.
In theory, maybe that’s immersive, but in practice, it just means I can’t do anything outside a city like 40% of the day.
YaminoKaze right. Games are meant to be enjoyed in the short-term, otherwise you might as well be in a life simulator. If I can’t see anything or get anything done... it’s not realistic. And in real-life, we wouldn’t be “adventuring” 24hrs around the clock. We’d be sleeping through most of the night. Very few games simulate even that. So no, I want to lose some realism for sake of being able to play the game when I want to without having to wait for sunrise.
Using those mods with the immersive survival mode are p dope. Since you can just wait/sleep during the times your character will need rest.
Use tactical flash lights or the brighter pip boy flashlight app darker nights is amazing for immersion deff with tactical flashlights or headlamps
@@ryanhess2623 tac flashlights and darker nights along with a zombie apocalypse mod on true survival is fucking insane. You can edit the settings of the zombie mod to the extreme, and if you up it all the way so that roving hordes are massive, common, and can only be killed with headshots, it makes for the best zombie game I've ever played

Bugfixing and performance enhancement mods. Unofficial patches, Boston precombines fix, etc.
That boston precombines fix got me an extra 30fps in downtown boston and got me past the stable 60fps mark there.

I’ve been working on the perfect fallout for years now. Im so glad that you’re making this series! I’m on Xbox, so my options are more limited, but I’ve made some progress.
A few possible mod suggestions from my list that I love.
-subway runner
-better settlers
-icebreaker settlements
-XXL nukes
-militarized minutemen
-realistic rag doll force
-realistic sounds
-immersive hud
-rain of brass
-more realistic pipe weapons
-stick mags for sub machine gun
-some assembly required
For FPS:
-insignificant object remover
-disable godrays and lens flare
I’m also obsessed with realism, so here are a few mods that help achieve that, although this is more for a hardcore survival feel rather than a classic fallout feel.
-slower leveling
-progressive weapon perks
-deadly explosives
-realistic survival damage
-realistic headshots
-unbogus health scaling
-hardcore purified water overhaul
-hardcore reduced carry weight

It probably has something to do with your SLI configuration cause a single 970 is capable of running Diamond City at 60 FPS @ 1080p on high.

I am pretty happy with my load order but I definitely want you to continue this series highlighting all the "best" mods in case I find some I overlooked. :)
My biggest limitation when it comes to mods is usually performance. I try to avoid further hits to my already shaky framerate.

No it doesn't prove your point. It's not based upon the opinion of others it's based upon the information provided by the makers of the game and the footage and gameplay they have shown and described. It's a matter of being able to tell you won't enjoy it from seeing that. You don't need to try something to know you won't enjoy it. Why the fuck would I waste my money on shit I know I won't enjoy? That's like saying hey, jump off this 10 story building. You won't know if it's fun until you've tried it. I don't care if it's beta alpha or release. Bugs are not my concern. Gameplay and story are and it's severely lacking both. The moment they said there weren't NPCs I knew something was up. Having seen more now I know it's shit and have no desire to try it because it would be a waste of money that I'd rather spend on RDR2 or something.

It is definitely worth buying a pc. You can build them for the same price as a console and they will perform much better. Also you can upgrade them over time.
