What did you think of this Tarantula Terrarium Upgrade?! Would you ever keep your tarantula in a naturalistic/bioactive home? Don't forget to answer today's question of the day! Thank you to Tarantula Cribs for making today's video possible! www.tarantulacribs.com/
Nice upgrade, more naturalistic, the spider will surely appreciate it :)
Do you sell red eye crocodile skins
It is a awesome set up!
This species is so BEAUTIFUL you lucky duck!!
Thanks, Kat! I'm def lucky! ✨🕷️
Spider shoppe
That’s by far the most and absolute gorgeous setup and detailed tarantula home vid I seen
Gorgeous tarantula, Gorgeous bioactive space!
I love your enclosures. Your room looks gorgeous your animals look healthy. Thank you for tips on how to keep my t’s healthy.
Thank you so much!
Soooooo jealous! She’s absolutely gorgeous. I hope you have many years with her ❤
Thank you so much! I’m so happy to have her! 🙏🏼
That enclosure looks awesome. If I did get my hands on the acrylic lid I would use it for my mourning geckos
The upgrade was awesome!
What a beautiful spidet❤ also love the replacement top much better then screening 😊
She's gorgeous and now has an equally beautiful home to enjoy! 😊🕷🕸🖤
thanks!
Dion, I love all your videos. Your tarantulas are so beautiful. The colors are amazing. ❤❤
Thank you so much! I appreciate your support and viewership!
I'll definitely be picking up a tarantula cribs lid for my G. pulchra Lilith. I'm going to start working on her new tank in the next couple of days and get a cork round and some plants. You should make a new home for your G. pulchra so I have some more inspiration for mine 😁😆
Beautiful setup!
Thank you! I have to do an update! It’s grown in so nicely!
That enclosure came out awesome!!!! As for the question of the day, I was thinking instead of moving my pacman frogs to plastic totes, these lids may be a great idea to keep the humidity higher.
Thank you Casey 🙏🏼! That's a great idea! They don’t have larger dimensions available yet but hopefully soon!
I’m not an arachnid keeper but I do have a bunch of tropical plants I am keeping in an exo terra to propagate and lock in humidity. I think that lid would make a difference for sure
Obsessed with all the tarantula love!!! That enclosure is beautiful! I had no idea Tarantula Cribs made those! Game changer!
Thank you!
Viewers, if you decide to forgo the drainage layer, be sure to allow the soil around your plants to dry before watering again. This is a good rule of thumb for plants in general. This way your plants don't get over watered, the most common way people kill their plants, and neither will your substrate become water logged.
Absolutely! Well said! Thank you for sharing a great tip!
I’d use the replacement lid for my female Poecilotheria rufilata, I’m planning on moving her up to an exo terra after her next molt. That M. mesomelas is gorgeous! Now I need one hahaha
I'd use it for my Pokies -I have metallica, vittata and ruliata in 12x12x18 enclosures but unfortunately they are not Exoterra lol. I have that shirt also and just happened to wear mine today.
I love to watch all of you video 🍃🎧
I already bought 3 of these and loved them so much I just bought 6 more!! Plan on using them for all Ts (P. pulcher, G. iheringi, B. klassi and more).
I think Chewbacca (?) the curly spider would look amazing in one of these 'cribs'
Its the first time i see this spider shes absolutely beautiful!
This is only her second time being featured on the channel! Thank you!
What an experience 👏
i love the little planting shovel! also more arachnid videos would be swell!
I have 3 exo-terra mini talls, all that I have ripped the screens out of the tops and replaced with acrylic panels that I cut and drilled myself. I would use these new lids for these 3 which are poki enclosures. 1 is empty at the moment awaiting my small female P. smithi to grow into it. The other 2 contain my bigger juvi ladies, P. rufilata and P. regalis.
It looks amazing! I struggle To keep my lemon button ferns alive anywhere but my bathroom -- I’m interested to see how it does with a tarantula 😇
Excellent video! I have a 12 year old Chilean Rose-haired and I would love to make her terrarium bioactive.
I've got 20 terrariums. The only one that got molt was the one without a drainage layer. I personally consider it necessary. However, it was easy to get rid of it with some extra springtails.
I love tarantulas
Me too!
Beautiful!! Makes me want to get back into keeping Ts again! I miss my balfouri communal.
Do it 🕷️! 😎
@@Reptiliatus I definitely will in the future, I have way too many other breeding projects going on currently that I want to focus and dedicate my time on first. Between frogs, anoles, crabs, and isopods I have my hands pretty full 😂 but loving every minute of it 💙
Awesome video...as usual! 🎉 Thanks!
Thank you so much! 🕷️✨
グラステラリウムの天面を網からアクリルに変更するの良いですね👍
Great video and beautiful looking spider. Can't wait for tarantula cribs merchandise to hopefully come to the UK.
Thank you so much! Hope so!
It looks fantastic. I would love to have a dart frog in one.
Thank you so much! You should!
All of your animals are so beautiful, keep up the great work!
wow my friend is in costa rica right now, some chap showed her one of these megaphobema sp living in a hole in the ground.
Tarantula cribs are the best. The replacement lid is a genius move. I don't keep spiders myself beyond the two or three common house/window spiders i removed from the bathroom that are now my bug disposal unit lol. But a naturalistic isopod display terrarium is an idea. They're all in Tarantula cribs at the moment though abd there's tonnes of upgrade options within that system. Amazing bunch.
What a gorgeous t, I never heard of those before. Congratulations on obtaining her ❤
The enclosure is going to be beautiful when it grows in and I definitely think she’ll be more comfortable in it.
I’d love to see you do a pokie enclosure next.
They are my favorite genus, I currently have 15 pokies
It's beautiful. I live in an area with hard water and high ph thanks to the minerals in the soil. I bought a distilled water machine to use with my various orchids, calathea, and other species. The trick has been making sure I add fertilizer to every gallon container as well as some tap water to make sure the distilled/pure water doesn't leach the nutrients from the phalaenopsis and potinara/cattleya roots. I don't own any invertebrates, but I'm looking forward to getting more house spiders. I accidentally killed my residents when I was fighting a white fly infestation on my spiral ginger. It didn't survive either but the rest of my jungle is doing well
omg i love this species!!! GREAT ENCLOSURE BTWW!!!
Thank you! Me too!
Those lids are game changer. I would probably try them with mantis species instead of making my own tulle coverings for the mesh.
Absolutely!
Nice looking enclosure and I love the new lids! I'm getting a 12" x 12" x 12" T-cribs enclosure ready right now for a couple of my Ts.
What a beautiful tarantula! Would love to see a giant bioactive set up for the Goliath Bird Eater! Recently got a t. Stirmi myself
Beautiful enclosure for a beautiful Tarantula. My goal is to eventually set my Tarantulas up in bio enclosures.
Thank you! Best of luck!
I’m so happy to see T content!
Great video as always
Glad you enjoyed it!
I’d love to see a bioactive setup for the Nhandu tripepii!
Well done, all of your enclosures are amazing!!
Nice video as always, keep up the good work :)
By the way. do you keep snails as pets? I really think that seeing them eat is amazing :)
Beautiful enclosure, beautiful animal. Great content as always Dayyan! 👏
Thank you so much 😁
I currently have slings and juveniles that are still too small for a 12x12 Exo Terra, but I am looking forward to getting there, and I really want to get into bioactive!
Also, hello from Quebec!
Beautiful setup, beautiful tarantula ❤
Thank you very much!
I would use this lid for my avicularia species and pokies that I keep in Exo Terra tanks. Then I don’t have to worry about their little paws getting stuck in the mesh lids and I can replace my homemade lids I crafted that aren’t so professional looking 😅 my OCD really enjoys how that T cribs lid looks
That was stunning. I’m a’gonna have to make some changes here. Super-Merci! 🔥🕷️🔥
I'm planning on using an exoterra replacement lid for when my Poecilotheria ornata gets her final home. High humidity, chew proof, etc lol 😂
Hello great video information and rehousing Dayyan
I think I want to buy one for my mediterranean house geckos enclosure I never knew these existed
I luv
Thank you! I'm glad!
nice one! didn't realize you have a mesomelas at your place :-) Next time feel free to ask for footage from nature, I have some more! If you don't mind, here is a link to a little video showing where we found a specimen next to a road. With your knowledge in reptiles & amphibians, I'm sure you can make a good home for a mesomelas with their high requirements for humidity. czcams.com/video/X01uqEv8rIY/video.htmlsi=div7X2J2Mcc1HqIl&t=428
Thank you friend! I was lucky and found some stock footage of one animal in the wild so I used that but I appreciate the offer!
My answer to both is the same. The blue and cream colored one please, Please, PLEASE 🙏🏻 I wonder if you can find a plant or two that would complement her colors?
I don’t remember how reclusive she is but she’s the most gorgeous arachnid I’ve ever seen and would love to see more of her. (I think you said she’s a female but regardless)
She’s a majestic queen with nothing to prove. She’s mysterious and captivating and entrances her prey with her beauty. She should have something that says all of this… In my humble opinion… 😂
QOTD: I think we would keep dart frogs, because we wanted to get one for long🙃
Are the dwarf isopods not a threat when the tarantula is in 😊molt?
Why so much vertical space for a terrestrial tarantula? When it climbs and falls that vertical distance is a hazard.
Omg does that lid come in 18x18x18?!?
i dont think so but either way you can easily make your own, i believe tarantula collective has a guide on it
I think they are working on those next! Stay tuned/fingers crossed!
Do you sell red eye crocodile skinks?
Yes, within Canada only though :).
Dang but thanks@@Reptiliatus
Beware that clear acrylic discolors and begins to disintegrate in sunlight if kept that way in direct sunlight over time. It is also a heat barrier and traps in heat. So it's great for desert species, but colder weather animals should be kept in cooler areas away from direct sunlight. Tarantulas aren't going to be out there on the hot desert sand during the day. Not even solifugids (camel spiders) do that. So think about how much light you're using if you're trying to keep things dry for the desert species.
Where are your leaf tailed geckos? 😢
