First album I bought was X Factor and first time I saw them live was on the virtual xi tour. A lot of my favourite songs come from those two albums haha. I also love some of his blaze albums.
Newer stuff? :p Wicker man is going on 23 years old at this point :p That is like midway through their careers. Calling that new at this point is a stretch, no?
4:56 «Charlotte The Harlot» is a really nice song you guys should check out! It starts out really energetic, then transfers to the classical Maiden-ballad style part which is really underrated in my opinion.
It is strange. I'm not a fan of Maiden's recent stuff - especially Dance of Death, BUT this song gave me those earlier days vibe and probably my favorite song from them in the last 25 years.
X-factor was like the first album I listened to. I had heard number of the beast and run to the hills and some others before but X-factor really got me into them. I still LOVE edge of darkness, the unbeliever, judgement of heaven and a few more and sign of the cross was, to me and those I went with, the best song during their tour last summer. Pure art!
I found myself vibing and headbanging all throughout 😄 Don't look in the eyes of a stranger I ve always found a really good progressive song, wish people gave it more attention
My 10 favourite maiden songs Probably in this order 10: strange world 9: angel and the gambler (really underrated) 8: powerslave 7: speed of light 6: caught somewhere in time 5: killers 4: running free 3: futureal 2: phantom of the opera 1: be quick or be dead Top 5 albums for me would have to be 5: powerslave 4: killers 3: fear of the dark 2: caught somewhere in time 1: Iron Maiden
I'm surprised "Blood on the World's Hands" is so low. It's one of the few Blaze era songs that I actually dig pretty well, and it suited Blaze's voice extremely well too. I don't think even Bruce could have done that one better.
It is so surprising that most of the songs I love (2000-2021) are mostly low and very underrated. Like I listen to those songs almost all the time and I didn’t expect them to be around nearly at the bottom
I listen to Brave New World often but pretty much ignore all of Maidem beyond that. In fact I only listen to the first 7 albums and BNW. So that's prob why
@@Walamonga1313 that’s interesting. I mainly listen to the 2000s Iron Maiden songs, probably because I was used to it as a kid back in ‘04 along with growing up (currently 18). Yeah I do listen to some old maiden too because there’s a few songs I like but I honestly prefer the 2000s Maiden and I listen to the albums such as Brave New World, Dance of Death, A Matter of Life and Death, The Final Frontier, The Book of souls, and Senjutsu. That’s why I’m surprised that most of my favorite songs I listen to are so low around the 100s or less 🥲
@@Nataliia_XVII I am 24 but I never listened to Maiden when growing up. Only when I was like 12 and took an interest in guitar, so maybe that's why I didn't get attached to the 2000s songs. I like 80s metal a lot so that's also most of what Maiden I listened to. I still love a couple newer songs, like Mother of Mercy, but in general their newer albums blend together for me, I almost never know which song is from which album lol
so many beautiful songs in the least listened, the X Factor is a masterpiece; Starblind, Face in the sand... damn, many people need to hear this beautiful pieces of music

paul di’anno is so criminally underrated. like my hot take for the band is that I prefer his vocals more. so its sad that his songs are pretty low. especially charlotte the harlot, which is one of my favorites
Thanks for doing this video! So many great songs! We all love the top hits but there are so many that got lost given the amount of material they have put out over the years. Was lucky enough to catch them on this latest tour and the show was incredible!
A Matter of Life and Death and many of Blaze Bayley songs are criminally underrated. The Legacy, Lord of Light, Brighter Than a Thousand Suns, The Edge of Darkness, Como Estais Amigos and Ubeliever are among my most listened songs.
OMG, Iron Maiden is my favorite band ever. Happy to see you here. Sad to know that Blood On The World's Hands is the penultimate most played song, perhaps the most wronged song on the list (as well as the Blaze Bayley phase). Other songs that I find underrated are: When Two Worlds Collide, Lightning Strikes Twice, The Educated Fool, Don't Look To the Eyes of a Stranger, Como Estais Amigos, Drifter, Prodigal Son, Brighter Than a Thousand Suns, The Nomad, The Fallen Angel, Childhood's End, To Tame a Land (Dream Theater cover is even better), Dream of Mirrors, Remember Tomorrow, Purgatory, Sign Of The Cross (very, VERY UNDERRATED), Only The Good Die Young, The Clairvoyant (very underrated), Infinite Dreams (very underrated), Heaven Can Wait and Out of The Silent Planet. I also consider Wasting Love, Wasted Years and 2 Minutes to Midnight to be overrated. My top 10 is: 1st: Fear Of The Dark 2nd: Sign Of The Cross 3rd: For The Greater Good Of God 4th: Dance Of Death 5th: Afraid To Shoot Strangers 6th: Hallowed Be Thy Name 7th: The Clairvoyant 8th: Infinite Dreams 9th: Caught Somewhere in Time 10th: Alexander the Great And my top 5 albums are: 1º: Seventh Son Of A Seventh Son 2nd: Brave New World 3rd: Virtual XI (very underrated and wronged) 4th: Killers (underrated and forgotten in time) 5th: Somewhere In Time Thanks again for the video.
The interesting thing that I took away from this is that for most albums what would be considered by fans of the band to be the best songs on an album rise to near the the top most played on their albums. However, Senjutsu is the opposite. Hell on Earth and The Parchment are usually thought of as the best, but both are in the bottom 4 of Senjutsu song streams.
I wonder if it is because many Maiden fans were not fully aware of The Parchment and Hell on Earth early in 2022. Interesting to see how they would all rank in a 2023 list at the end of the year.
I know that "The Book of Souls" is a pretty popular album, but it somehow hurts me to see that "When The River Runs Deep" is one of its least listened songs... That thing be a jewel
X factor is SOOOOOO underrated I honestly believe the stuff on that album is waayyy better than anything released after Brave New world. Also on another note how are Piece of mind songs that low on this list?!?!?!?!
My underrated favorites from every album: Age of Innocence (145), The Legacy (139), Drifter (132), No Prayer for the Dying (114), The Thin Line Between Love and Hate (110), Sun and Steel (104), Judas be My Guide (101), Hell on Earth (94), Deja Vu (91), The Duellists (82), Rememeber Tomorrow (81), Sign of the Cross (74), Man of the Edge (73), Only the Good Die Young (65), When the Wild Wind Blows (64), The Red and the Black (41), 22 Acacia Avenue (32)
i love this channel so much. i would love though a Bowie one of these. of course it would be a pretty big project with all of his 26 albums, but it would be absolutely amazing and my dad would love it also haha
The positions of total eclipse, mother Russia, chains of misery, age of innocence, tailgunner, and pashcendale hurt my soul, and final frontier is criminally underrated
Total Eclipse was taken off Spotify in 2015 and was only re-introduced at the end of 2022. If it wasn’t taken off it would definitely have more than 10,000,000 streams because it is definitely more popular than “Invaders” and “Gangland”.

No Prayer for the Dying is a seriously underrated album. Fates Warning and Public Enema Number One are two seriously great and addicting songs.
Agreed No prayer for the dying is amazing.
Some of my favorite maiden baselines on that album
Run silent run deep for me
Title track is awesome.
@@studuckson Title track is great but the whole album in its entirety is pretty solid. Except Mother Russia. That song is kinda eh to me
And no the title track also
The Blaze Bayley stuff is really underrated!
First album I bought was X Factor and first time I saw them live was on the virtual xi tour. A lot of my favourite songs come from those two albums haha. I also love some of his blaze albums.
Especially the song "Virus"
Underrated and unappreciated.
@@MrNeilsmallwood it’s so cool you got to see that lineup! Must have been a great time to see maiden!
@@HeroSword_P its really sad they never released it on spotify.
Did NOT expect to see Wasting Love anywhere close to the top 10...
Yeah that was def the biggest surprise.
its an amazing ballad but compared to maidens discography it shouldnt be so high even if I love it to pieces
Deja vu is in my opinion the most underrated maiden song
Deja vu is in my opinion the most underrated maiden song
@@Outmind01 I approve this comment
Yes
What surprises me is Hell on Earth on #94 [right next to Journeyman, another surprise]. These songs deserve lots of millions of listeners
I love when their newer stuff is ranked well
The Wicker Man well deserves that spot
Newer stuff? :p Wicker man is going on 23 years old at this point :p That is like midway through their careers. Calling that new at this point is a stretch, no?
@@L4kken Im 26 lol a lot of people older than me consider anything after the 90s as "not the old stuff" haha but i agree with you
@@richiewitkowski7142 well, there is a middle between old and new stuff ;p
Conclusion, Spotify fans are the worse.
Conclusion, there's no bad song in Iron Maiden history.
Except The Angel and the gambler imo, can't stand this one
Two of my favourite Maiden tunes, When Two Worlds Collide and Fates Warning languishing so low on the list!!
4:56 «Charlotte The Harlot» is a really nice song you guys should check out! It starts out really energetic, then transfers to the classical Maiden-ballad style part which is really underrated in my opinion.
”Lord of the flies” is underrated AF
I agree
Brighter than a Thousand Suns is getting shafted. What an incredible song.
Too right… it’s a great track and has had me spellbound on more than one occasion
Edge of darkness is one of my favorite songs and I'd love to see a live version with Bruce
No. Bruce absolutely butchers Blaze's songs.
@@lukebradford Wrong. Sign of the Cross at Rock in Rio 2001 is the best version of the song they have ever produced.
@@linkvagar2336 I completely disagree. Bruce absolutely butchers it IMO. I will always prefer the album versions and Blaze's live versions.
Paul Di’anno seriously deserves more recognition
exactly
I think Blaze Bailey deserves even more
Pretty much.
@@drago-teamdelires3075 yup
Well, maybe Paul Di'Anno does get recognition, just probably not as an Iron Maiden singer. 🤷 Same with Blaze Bayley.
I don't understand how Montsegur is so low. It's probably one of the best songs Iron Maiden produced in the 21st century.
It is strange. I'm not a fan of Maiden's recent stuff - especially Dance of Death, BUT this song gave me those earlier days vibe and probably my favorite song from them in the last 25 years.
Agreed
#128 The alchemist very underrated song 😔👊🏻
The entire Final Frontier record is as underrated as can be.
@@gabrielpaiva9070 yeah
I dont give a rat's arse what people say, blayze bayley's maiden isnt so bad. Man on the edge is a great song.
Pure art!
Man on the Edge rips and is my favorite from the two Bayley albums.
I found myself vibing and headbanging all throughout 😄
Don't look in the eyes of a stranger I ve always found a really good progressive song, wish people gave it more attention
I can't believe so many songs from Killers are so low on the list. The first 2 albums are classics, from start to finish!
Murders in the rue morgue is the SHIT. My personal fav Iron Maiden song
Same
My 10 favourite maiden songs
Probably in this order
10: strange world
9: angel and the gambler (really underrated)
8: powerslave
7: speed of light
6: caught somewhere in time
5: killers
4: running free
3: futureal
2: phantom of the opera
1: be quick or be dead
Top 5 albums for me would have to be
5: powerslave
4: killers
3: fear of the dark
2: caught somewhere in time
1: Iron Maiden
I'm surprised "Blood on the World's Hands" is so low. It's one of the few Blaze era songs that I actually dig pretty well, and it suited Blaze's voice extremely well too. I don't think even Bruce could have done that one better.
Hey you blurred out the songs on the thumbnail for me! You listen to my suggestions better than my boss ever does!
@@Nataliia_XVII 👍👍💯🤘💣
so many beautiful songs in the least listened, the X Factor is a masterpiece; Starblind, Face in the sand... damn, many people need to hear this beautiful pieces of music
I’m pretty shocked Edge of Darkness is as low as it is, it’s an amazing song and one of the best from the album
that album is amazing
Yup. Blaze did an excellent super heavy rendition with his solo band a while ago, I highly recommend checking it out if you haven't seen it: czcams.com/video/tukA2ZYQzaI/video.html
My too, one of my most favorite songs
Age of Innocence is a great tune, thought more people would listen to that.
yep definitely, love the version with Nicko lol.
And one more thing I recognize from Hurm1t videos!! #uptheirons
Surprised by how all over the place Fear of the Dark is. Some songs near the top, some near the bottom.
Fear Of The Dark is their main hit (live at least) but the album has some of their worst songs too like The Apparition or Weekend Warrior.
@@f.g.e.3889 I love both of those lol. Nowhere near their worst IMO. General consensus be damned.
My personal Top 10 Iron Maiden songs:
10. Dream of Mirrors
9. Infinite Dreams
8. The Legacy
7. The Talisman
6. Hell on Earth
5. Alexander The Great
4. Hallowed Be Thy Name
3. Aces High
2. Dance of Death
1. Sign of the Cross
It's so sad to see "The Educated Fool" so low.
Such an amazing song, top 5 maiden songs for me.
I had recently listened to the final frontier and It is definitely one of their top 5 if not top 3 albums for me, 100% underrated
It's outstanding. I think AMOLAD and The Final Frontier are their two most underrated albums
@Juhiz69 00 maiden fell off but never as hard as metallica holy shit metallica fell off so hard
Agree, it took me years to appreciate it, probably because some of the lyrics are clunky, but yeah it’s defo top tier.
@Juhiz69 None of the 00's Maiden albums are overrated, it's the 80's albums that are.
I need to listen 1M times “Deja Vu” so it get the credits the song deserves
you mean 1 000M i hope
No prayer for the dying album is so underrated.
yes
Yes
paul di’anno is so criminally underrated. like my hot take for the band is that I prefer his vocals more. so its sad that his songs are pretty low. especially charlotte the harlot, which is one of my favorites
Bro feel illegal being this early and also you should do slipknot and do you find the numbers
already have a Slipknot one :p
czcams.com/video/UK-DIe1wsv4/video.html
Thanks for doing this video! So many great songs! We all love the top hits but there are so many that got lost given the amount of material they have put out over the years. Was lucky enough to catch them on this latest tour and the show was incredible!
Time to get last ranked The Unbeliever to hit the 1m mark. Get in lads. Up the Irons \,,/
A Matter of Life and Death and many of Blaze Bayley songs are criminally underrated. The Legacy, Lord of Light, Brighter Than a Thousand Suns, The Edge of Darkness, Como Estais Amigos and Ubeliever are among my most listened songs.
Age of Innocence is criminally underrated.
Oh man the way that ended was top notch
I'm surprised New Frontier and Gates of Tomorrow are this low! Love the melody and lyrics in these.
My top 10 is:
1st: Fear Of The Dark
2nd: Sign Of The Cross
3rd: For The Greater Good Of God
4th: Dance Of Death
5th: Afraid To Shoot Strangers
6th: Hallowed Be Thy Name
7th: The Clairvoyant
8th: Infinite Dreams
9th: Caught Somewhere in Time
10th: Alexander the Great
And my top 5 albums are:
1º: Seventh Son Of A Seventh Son
2nd: Brave New World
3rd: Virtual XI (very underrated and wronged)
4th: Killers (underrated and forgotten in time)
5th: Somewhere In Time
Thanks again for the video.
I’m amazed montsegur is so low. That’s an amazing song
I don’t get it, how Wasting love is so high rankt. But all of the songs on A matter of life and death is underreted🤘🎸
Charlotte the harlot is extremely underrated
Yes
Good video bro, appreciating the effort!
I always really loved loneliness of the long distance runner I know it’s different but it has some great instrumentals and the vocals are fantastic
X factor is SOOOOOO underrated
I honestly believe the stuff on that album is waayyy better than anything released after Brave New world.
Also on another note how are Piece of mind songs that low on this list?!?!?!?!
Agreed. It's not a great album but very underrated indeed.
@@malakbrood667 I personally love its sound. I would say a great album... maybe not AMAZING, but I have enjoyed listening to song from it quite well.
I agree
The intro to “Blood on the Worlds Hands” is a Harris special. It’s buried under the rubble of the Bayley era at second last.
Awesome song
I'm happy to see that people enjoy holy smoke as much as I do lol
It's crazy how even the songs at the very beginning sound so good
My underrated favorites from every album: Age of Innocence (145), The Legacy (139), Drifter (132), No Prayer for the Dying (114), The Thin Line Between Love and Hate (110), Sun and Steel (104), Judas be My Guide (101), Hell on Earth (94), Deja Vu (91), The Duellists (82), Rememeber Tomorrow (81), Sign of the Cross (74), Man of the Edge (73), Only the Good Die Young (65), When the Wild Wind Blows (64), The Red and the Black (41), 22 Acacia Avenue (32)
Yes, iron maiden.
Who could ever forget Tears of a Crown !
Tears of a clown is so freaking good.
Give The Duellists some love already! 😭
Brave new world is my favrioute maiden album, every song is a gem 💎
every maiden song in hole is a gem
Hooks In You is so low? I love that song!
I know right the opening line is quality and the song overall is catchy. Well I like it anyway 😁
AMOLAD is extremely underrated.
To tame a land , prodigal son, the duellist, judas be my guide, deja vu
So many song that are too low here
Holy moly that long note in the outro.
The Duellists and purgatory are so underrated
12:46 this brings me joy
I can't believe how low a few Piece of Mind songs were!
so they only have one song under one million streams, thats kinda impressive
they shouldnt have a song under one billion if the music world would fair
i love this channel so much. i would love though a Bowie one of these. of course it would be a pretty big project with all of his 26 albums, but it would be absolutely amazing and my dad would love it also haha

@@imakevideosonyoutube absolute legend mate
Wow
Thanks for putting that together for us.
Really interesting
All of their songs are super great imo
The X Factor underrated!!!
The positions of total eclipse, mother Russia, chains of misery, age of innocence, tailgunner, and pashcendale hurt my soul, and final frontier is criminally underrated
Total Eclipse just came out on Apple Music not even a month ago so im surprised where its at already
Total Eclipse was taken off Spotify in 2015 and was only re-introduced at the end of 2022. If it wasn’t taken off it would definitely have more than 10,000,000 streams because it is definitely more popular than “Invaders” and “Gangland”.
Mother Russia and tailgunner are top class
I love any Iron Maiden song
2:15 total eclipse... haven't heard this one in ages. thanks for reminding me of this music
Saddened to see Brighter Than A Thousand Suns and Starblind so far low, they are top 10 Maiden songs to me.
I agree...in my personal Top 10. Brighter than a thousand suns is incredible...
Starblind less played song of the album... Im in tears
The X factor is so underrated
30% das vezes que o The X-Factor foi ouvido, era eu ouvindo, amo esse álbum
Também sou um grande fã. E depois de tantos anos tive a oportunidade de gravar uma música com o Blaze. Procure por “Lethal Fright Low Frequencies”
Hello on Earth is going to be a top ten in a few years..
UNBELIVER LAST? IS ONE OF THE BEST SONG OF IRON MAIDEN!
Surprised "Total Eclipse" is so low. It's one of my favorite Iron Maiden songs.
