@@YourBeatzSupport frequently drops connectivity and you have to uninstall all apps and reset the speakers to factory setting to get it all to sync up, and if you don't do it in a specific order it messes up and you have to start all over again

I'm getting the full 5.1 Sonos set up in a few weeks and torn between getting the play 1's or Ones as my rear speakers. I understand there's not much difference other than the One's having Alexa Capability. My question is since the playbar has Alexa capability, is there any point to have that feature should I opt for the One's unless I plan on using in a separate room?
Exactly as you said at the end. If anything, having two Alexa-capable receivers in close proximity to one another may create issues with multiple speakers picking up your voice. Either have One speakers in separate rooms or go for the Play Ones

It can't do Netflix audio or any unsubscribed digital music service and you need to sign up with your email to control the audio. It's just an incredibly expensive radio.

9:56 "all 80's from Amazon music" - then BeeGees are played with a VERY 1970's track. Somethings not right in the knowledge base of this system.
That's true. But all systems like this are the same. They use a variety of information to build their databases. The active years of the artist and the popularity of the genre were obviously larger factors in the creation of this particular playlist, hence we saw a 70s released track. In general though I've found the 'genius-style' generated playlists to work pretty well
Whattefack is the difference between Play 1 and Sonos 1?
Quite simply: The SONOS One has Alexa built in (with the google assistant arriving soon). The Play 1 has no voice control. The SONOS one also has a capacitive touch control system on top of the speaker whilst the Play 1 has clickable play/pause and volume control. The SONOS one also has colour matching speaker grills.

Can u suggest? i need one for listening to music in my bedroom with a good sound and occasionally connect to tv. This one or sonos beam?
The beam is amazing for TV, makes movies really immersive. But for a bedroom I think the SONOS One would be more than enough, especially for music. The beam isn't the most practical whereas the One is more compact and portable. It's loud enough for even big rooms too.

That app needs serious work though. I also have random connection drops on the Sonos One and not my other devices. Still, nice job on the review.
A Sonos app issue or the Alexa app? The Sonos app was pretty horrible but had a major update a few months ago and is infinitely better now. Can’t say I’ve had many connection issues myself though

Can i use the speaker to watch netflix or youtube on my pc? Witch one do you recommend between Sonos one or Bose soundtouch 10?
If you have a PC rather than Mac then I’d suggest you don’t use the Sonos One for Netflix and CZcams. Unless you’re using AirPlay 2 (Mac not PC) then you need to use the Sonos app for audio and you can’t select video sources like Netflix and CZcams. It has no Bluetooth or audio line options so you can’t simply connect directly to the PC.
For your use, I’d suggest to go for the Bose Soundtouch 10. It’s a great speaker, cheaper than the Sonos One and has Bluetooth and audio line options so you can connect straight to your PC for Netflix and CZcams

I don't think you'll be able to set it up. You could try to hotspot the Sonos One through your phone's cellular network, but I don't think this will be reliable or even work in the first place. You need a wired (ethernet) or Wi-Fi connection really
Basically anything with echo is far, far better than homepod - and I say that as a die hard, long time Apple fan. Siri is still amazingly awful. The speaker in the homepod may be decent, but keeping siri around was a mistake - its time for Apple to use concede to Google Home and Amazon here.
Agreed. Big Apple fan but cannot make any excuses for Siri. Can’t see Apple ever doing that but they’ve certainly heard the fan base - expect we’ll see massive Siri overhauls over the next year or two!

Apple have recently shown more open behaviour by allowing Apple TV integration with third parties. That’s right, Apple! So who knows in the future what sort of other integrations they’re willing to accept?

Is it easy to pair with an iPhone via Bluetooth? My current Bose speaker is a nightmare to pair.
With an iPhone, yes. The Sonos One is AirPlay 2 compatible. So you can just access it from control centre and tap to stream to it (AirPlay) without needing to enter any menus
What is better in sound quality? Sonos one or Marshall Stanmore II?
I’ve not personally tested the Marshall so I couldn’t give an informed opinion yet. Anyone else in the comments?
InsideTech thx for answer. I mostly listen Rammstein (Metal) but Sonos is interesting because it’s smart speaker so if i wanted smart home in a future it would be easier to start. Btw sorry for my English i’m not native speaker.

Yes, there is a Sonos software for PC and Mac - although it’s a bit clunky and an emphasis is definitely placed on the mobile apps instead. Still works though!

like the features, setup was difficult for some of my devices (August Door lock, czcams.com/users/postUgkxhB5YOMNj04GuoAosExygP4cH-dKeb4aB Bose speaker)... but all switches and outlets (5), thermostat, tankless water heater. Unfortunately all I can do is turn on/off Bose. It doesn't support volume or changing channels, but I believe that is due to the particular speaker I have.... Worth getting if you already have other devices to use it with... I don't sit around and ask Alexa questions much so that doesn't really matter to me....
To switch on a speaker I have to register an account??!!? What? Sorry I’ll stick with my Technics Amp and Wharfedale speakers.

DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT. I've had nothing but headaches with it constantly losing connectivity to the apps. The support ten just tells you to uninstall and reinstall everything - over and over again

Sonos is synonymous with an Expensive marketed speaker ready to be thrown onto a dump of Scheisse pretty soon rather than later. Save your money and buy something not Sonos at all .... another review that is a false understanding of what a good speaker should be and let you know that Sonos it is not smart at all ... the only thing they are smart about it is how good are ripping people off !
