    I've been a pro photographer since 1967 (yes, we had cameras back then). You have made my life a whole lot easier. I have been struggling with the 'spot healing brush' for my heavy lifting. This makes far more sense for difficult objects. The best part is that it maintains the texture in the area removed.
    God bless you for your kindness in sharing your skills.

    Hi, I have an object to remove from a picture and have attempted to follow this tutorial however I can’t seem to find the generative fill option. I have checked in the ‘Window’ tab as you suggest in the tutorial but it is not there either 🙈 would appreciate some help and guidance if you are able to please. Thank you

    I don't have the generative fill option when I click on the contextual text bar. Is there a different area the generative fill option would be?

    When I select Generate, it does it's thinking. 3 mini windows appear and then when the thinking is done the 3 windows to choose from vanish. I don't get it. I'm trying to remove a small bush on a lower corner of brick wall.

    Its interesting to see you do these things Brendan and once again this is a great video, but I cant see the excitement behind generative fill because it produces results in 1024 resolution. This technology is only really useful for processing for social media, forget any idea of printing the photo out.

    This stuff is just unbelievable. Is this removal at a lower resolution, or can I make a decent print (11x14) using generative fill?

    • @BrendanWilliamsTutorials
      @BrendanWilliamsTutorials  Před 7 měsíci +1

      You will have to try it for your own photo. It generally is a lower quality and noticeably so when zoomed in. The quality change is more obvious with larger areas

    The quality of the fill is subpar, characterized by low resolution and an absence of adequate noise matching.

    • @BrendanWilliamsTutorials
      @BrendanWilliamsTutorials  Před 7 měsíci

      I would agree the quality is not there yet. I don’t rely on this method myself but it is certainly a great fall back option and it will only get better!

    • @garygruber1452
      @garygruber1452 Před 7 měsíci

      When I used this tool on a problematic area in one of my recent photos, I thought as you did -- until I chose one of the other 2 options -- which perfectly matched the background noise and grain structure.

    • @dennisfreemanbuddy
      @dennisfreemanbuddy Před 7 měsíci

      The resolution will be higher if you select smaller "sections" at a time to use the generative fill on. Check this video out: czcams.com/video/yZr_76MTmNM/video.html @@BrendanWilliamsTutorials

    My generative fill doesn't remove but instead it replace, so if I were to remove the car here then it would just re-colour the car.

      Try selecting a larger area. This also can happen if you have too much overlap with another object with your defining selection.
