A couple of reasons that Hyundai group's EVs are eating supercar's lunch: Biermann (now retired, executive advisor), Rimac (HMG still has ownership), and now Lucid. Add that with the whole group involved in auto OEM+parts supply chain and having many former LG/Samsung electronics and battery personnel... and yeah, the designers from Audi/Bentley/VW/BMW/the whole-she bang talents.

Drag racing is not even the strength of ioniq 5n. The amazing part of this car is that it can go around more than two laps at nurburgring using steal breaks while other ev supercars can hardly do one lap using ceramic breaks.

Mate, tell us the truth G90 M5 is a disappointment the weight 500kg n curb weight 2,510kg after battery has no juice its dead weight carried by 585hp V8 no different then F10 Hybrid 5 n turns into write off in a decade or 2. Hey Paul why doesn't Alvors do the roll racing like Matt at Carwow whereby they do one roll in comfort to see how fast each cars gearbox kicks down then the second one in sport/race in manual mode ( usually 3rd )? That way he'll a least start to move when he punches it unlike here having to wait a while until it kicks back.. Love these vid's too mate..

It doesn't, the power shown here was the output of the standard G63 in kW. Not sure why.
The lower Brabus tune takes it up to 515kW/700hp AFAIK.
I don't know, at this point, all that engine noise just makes ICE vehicles sound like they're trying too hard . . . as nice as that roar once used to seem. Time to move on I guess.

I watch a lot of EV drag races (mostly Tesla but others as well) and this is a common theme.....races are not even close. Plaid races usually require full-on (not street-legal) race cars to win. EVs are fast!
The Ioniq 6 N will have over 700hp.
I like the N....but it won't get respected much.
Because its a super EV, and people don't just race from digs.
I think for guys who want to seem cool and fast will buy it.
But most car guys won't really pay it any attention because EV takes away the raw car experience and its just a super fast appliance.
Which I can understand because people want to enjoy what they buy and own, not just drive and have bragging rights.
Do you think it could have anything to do with power to weight ratios being totally in favour of the little Hyundai? Its around 400kg lighter than the Urus. I know which car i would rather be in an accident.
