Probably there were more songs that they played before this, since there were a handful of instruments on the stage that weren't part of this song.
@@Memerviller Not to mention that these big ass lights can often heat up a stage quite a bit literally making everyone up there overheat over the course of their playing.
He's not the actual trumpet player he kidnapped the actual one and started playing. That's why he is sweating because he hopes not to be found out. Also makes it better than he is playing missing impossible.

Everyone's talking about that trumpet solo (including me), but how about that piano solo! That thing sounds awesome. It fits so well into the song.

@@incidentlyaniguana2193 My first musical influence was actually James Morrissons MUm, Jess Morrison. She was my year 2 teacher and a great sax player. I went on to year three when par chance I was pushed into trying out for our school band by lovely teacher Marget Lennahan This is the oldest school band in Australia. I became a drummer at age 10. By age 15 I was a drum professional and toured America, Japan and Canada. In the end I got to play with James and John Morrison... (my Fave bebop drummer). James Morrsions family changed my life. He is always humble and approachable.I thank them forever.
I mention names because teachers are the best and deserve recognition for everything they do.
1:21 to 1:49 feels like a LOT longer than 30 seconds
Apparently he goes up to 22 notes per second there...
@@roel.vinckens no shot... that means he's hitting the valve 11 times per second for 30 seconds with his ring finger. I'd say around 10 notes per second is more likely, which is still crazy impressive.

They clapped for both and appreciated both. It’s just that the trumpet one seemed kinda extraordinary…which is why it became a viral video.
Cudos to the piano solo...but BRAVO and VIVA to that outstanding trumpet performance! James Morrison is literally breathing while he plays! What a technique!

@@BobAndrews69 WE ALL CAN APPRECIATE AND VALUE the pianist performance...but he plays with his hands not his breathing system! Morrison's technique demands way more physical effort than the pianist and also stays perfectly on the note!

James Morrison is a superb musician. And the drummer is the fabulous percussionist and vocalist' Grady Tate. And Lalo Schifrin; the excellent composer and arranger was also there on piano. Music at it's finest moments.

Circular breathing on a trumpet is fairly common; what isn't common is what he was able to do while circular breathing! I have never seen anything even close to that done before. He is definitely one of the greats!

I think the classical musicians behind James Morrison were scared he was going to expire. He was circular breathing on that long high trill. I’m so glad he didn’t expire. Incredible playing.🙏☀️🇬🇧👍🎺⚰️🙏

James and his friend are truly in a world known only to them. Here you see them pass a cigarette to each other, only there is no cigarette. James friend later smokes it and actually flicks the ashes, again there was nothing in his hand. James Styles his hair with an imaginary comb. He beckons to friends in the room that only he can see. There is fear in the eyes of both boys and major anxiety. Motor coordination skills are almost completely gone.
