Annual Groundhog Day celebration in Pennsylvania

Celebrants gather in western Pennsylvania to witness the annual appearance of the legendary groundhog Punxsutawney Phil.
According to tradition, if Phil sees his shadow due to clear weather, he will retreat to his den and winter will persist for six more weeks. If not, spring will arrive early.
