@@MayorSomActually (sorry to be the actually guy I just find this interesting) even though it’s “RICO” I believe it’s a State case (“USA vs” tends to refer to federal level). Georgia is the only state I know of that has anything like the GBI (ie FBI but Georgia state level). That’s why this has been such a clown show - the FBI and the federal courts would NOT leave anything to chance like this, feds are way too surgical with it. Edit: So a couple other states technically have their own investigation bureaus but when Jimmy Carter was governor he gave the GBI a lot more autonomy than the others have, which I think is why it’s the only one I keep hearing about in criminal law contexts. They do a LOT (meaning they’re extra)
