- Just going over some things that have been begging for attention for quite a while. Babydoll is getting the attention she disserves. We already did the pushrods and tubes and now it's time for the oil filter and lines.

Baby Doll 🤩! Another excellent Pacific Mike video, Cool! Your Baby Doll gave me idea of a Panhead filter on a 79 Sporty for function and the cool look.
Go for it!
Mike I have to tell you that the lithium grease thing has been working great on the old Shovel. Thanks for the hot tip! 👍
You bet
I love Pan heads. I have a '65 all original and a '63, SAVANNAH that I fabricated into a trike back @ '85. Brothers told me you better not cut up that perfectly running bike. I don't listen very well when my mind is made up to do something. While they were gone one day, out came the cutting torch and welder.
At a bike show in 2000 a couple executives from Harley Davidson were on their hands and knees checking SAVANNAH out and when I walked up I told them she was mine and they said they don't remember Harley making a trike in '63. That let me know that we done a good job building her if it could fool the Harley executives.
That's great.
Harley part numbers are like little gold nuggets of info to keep you going in the right direction!👍
Great words of wisdom. Thank You.
Baby Doll Rocks She’s the Heartbeat of America 🇺🇸
We've had a love affair going for 32 years.
Best wishes for the pooch.
Happy trails, Cowpoke
Thank You.
Well done Mike and many well wishes to Sonya...
Thank You.
Hello Mike and CameraMike. Thank u for the video👍👍👍😎. And my best to your dog Sonia. One day u can take here for a walk again🙂. Bye for now. Kjell from Sweden🇸🇪. Happy 4th of July🇺🇸.
Thank You and the best to you. Sonia will be good to go in a couple of weeks if the bone heals properly.
Lovely to see you work on this old Bikes 👍
Glad you enjoy it.
Thanks Mike, I always learn something listening to you. Rosie my Panhead appreciates you too!
Cool, thanks
Good deal Mike, thanks for pointing out the fact that you should never over fill the Oil Tank. Best I can remember Harley Davidson Dip Sticks have the Full mark and Low and or Add marks. My 1993 FLHS ELECTRA GLIDE has written on the dip stick, Don't over fill. I once did and the Jugs gasket started leaking after a short ride. I drained some oil out and topped it off to the full mark. Clean up, No more leaks.
I try to help, but that one, we all seem to learn the hard way.
Great video Mike I’ve just got 1984 FLH electro glide Got her started after 15 years and storage she needs a lot of work, but your videos really help me. I’m learning as I go. I’ve had a lot of help too. Thank you Mike for everything and yes, parts are hard to come by but slowing coming up if the parts
If you want to discuss it, be sure you tell me if it's an 84 Shovelhead, or an 84 Evo. Tell her to wake up. It's time to go play.
Thanks for this, it’s been a rough couple weeks here. You and baby doll are very uplifting!
Always wishing you the best. Babydoll lifts my spirits.
Knowledge is power, thanks for empowering us guys. Always a pleasure 😎
Thank You.

Thanks so much
Sending good thoughts to Sonya! Hope she feels better soon. And camera man Mike! Great video 👍
Thanks 👍
👋👍🙂💯❗
Thank you for this video. Enjoy watching these.
Glad you like them!
Never did run an oil filter on the old scooters. Oil consumption was a quart every 500 miles so you are doing an oil change every 2000 miles. When filters became important was when Harley decided to include the primary in an enclosed lubrication system.
I think the owner's manual on an early Pan said something like a quart in 900 miles. I may be wrong. Have to find my old owner's manual.
Nice, congratulations, bigest inf.
Glad it was helpful!
Love it man
Cool. Thank You.
Just like Paul Anka sang. And they call it Puppy Love. Hope your pooch gets back to herself soon.
With all you folks wishing her well, she'll be fine. Just a couple weeks from now, she should be in good shape again.
Groovy and far out 😮
Yep. You're getting the time period correct.
Hello Mike , I'm just wondering if anyone took over your old shop in SLO to fix older bikes ? Also did you know the guy in Lompoc that worked on older bikes , I went by his shop one day and it was closed and looked like he was moving out . Any way thank you guys for making these videos because I always learn something new .
Thank You. But I don't think there's many old guys doing shops.
Mike, that gasket not only had Style and Finesse, I would go out on a limb and say it has Panache. A certain je ne sais quoi, if you will. The Bee's Knees, even :)
And I just thought it was a paper gasket. Thank you for the enlightenment, and the courage to go on.
för en gångs skull soliga hällsningar från Sverige i fredags var jag på ZZ top i Dalhalla och bodde i skogen 4 nätter helt underbart,
Greetings. Sounds like a wonderful time. Very fond of ZZ Top myself.
Awesome 👍😎💯❗
Thumbs up. And the fan noise just isn't that bad.
Thank You.
Thank you for the feedback. That is good to know 👍🙂💯❗
One take Mike and Mike! 😎
Thank You.
We try 👍🙂💯❗
Hello! Love the video. What material did you make the gasket out of? Apologies ahead of time if you mentioned the material n the video and I missed it.
I didn't. It is a paper gasket material purchased from the local parts house. It was kinda like, "that looks good. It's about the right thickness." It looked similar to the gasket I had removed. Probably about .060" thick.
A mike i will be coming to long Beach cal on July 6 for a few weeks maybe we pass by one another kenney cole
Hopefully yes. The Long Beach Swap Meet is usually the third Sunday of the month. That will be July 28th.
…and get well soon, poor Sonia (Sonja?) 😐
Thank You. She'll appreciate that. All the spellings are correct. But, she spells her name S o n i a.
@@pacificmike9501 Thank you! 🙂
Mike, could really use your help. Have a 1965 Panhead, been under me since 1978. I am looking for a rear cylinder head, any help would be great. thanks
Well, I don't know anyone that has one at the moment. Look on ebay and even run an ad that you're looking for one.
How'd do Mike. I have a question for you if you don't mind. My 84 fxrs Evo bike has been sitting for approximately 2yrs. Are there any precautions I should take before trying to start her? Thanks Mike. 😊
Put a pan under the motor because the engine has certainly wetsumped and will pump its oil out the crankcase breather hose.
Thanks, I was told to shoot some fogging oil down the cylinders turn it over with plugs out then rrplug and start? Are you familiar w/ fogging oil?
He classic and oldskoll
Thank You.
hey Mike why do some pan rocker covers have d-rings and others do not. My 49 FL has them.
They all came with D-Rings. The early Pans came with D-rings that were three layers of stacked steel welded together. The later Pans had cast aluminum D-Rings that were one piece and much thicker. I like the looks of the early steel parts because it makes the lids look taller. Scrounging for all the parts you want makes it real interesting. I've hand picked all of those parts for Babydoll.
@@pacificmike9501 thanks for reply
😢 you need a set of ,"shorty" wrenches.
I have them.
Keep talking mike
Thank You.
🙂🙂🙂
Lots of back ground noise!!!
Nobody in my neighborhood complains about me. It's getting close to 4th of July. The natives are restless. I don't complain about them.
@@pacificmike9501 It sounds like your fan when you stop talking
I'm working on getting that fixed, thank you for the feedback 🙂🙂🙂
