Need your help bois: Like this video to help put it up since my cab came later than some others.
Also forgot to mention: nudge isn't handled very well, there is noticeably input delay on it and it's not particularly sensitive so I found myself not using it much. But all in all, I do like and recommend this cab

Nudge is definitely delayed and ineffective. It does not bother me. When I was a kid playing pinball machines I did not nudge them because I knew I would more than likely lose my money.

If they had used a slightly more powerful board capable of pushing 1080 resolution to the play field monitor I would be in, but that compromise is a step too far imo. It's too bad because the build quality seems good and the table selection is superb.

I have the SW machine and I will concede this is all personal preference ... but the graphics resolution is overblown. I don't have a brightness or wash out issue. What I think is telling is I don't have eyestrain. It's still fun and the unit itself is right sized.

I pulled the trigger on an AFM pinball and assembled it today. I like it! I don't have any problems with it. I would not say Whitewater is "unplayable" like you and other youtubers proclaim, I would say it is a tougher game. You can play the game but the ball moves more quickly than the other games and therefore you have to think and move more quickly. As you said, this may not have been 1up's intention. If not, the announced patch may slow it down.

    Unqualified Critics,
Thank you for going beyond your better judgement, paying a bit more than you'd like, to get this review out sooner. I think your community is important to you and this shows it.
The biggest thing I look for in virtual pinball is, does it play well without (or close to no) flipper lag. It sounds like, with the exception of one game, it nails it. I can deal with lower resolution, though I would've REALLY liked 1080p 60fps performance (and willing to drop another $100 to get that), but at the end of the day, gameplay over looks has always where it's been at for me.
I'd like to get one if they become available. Attack From Mars is one of my favorite pinball machines of all time (as is Haunted House and South Park), and having two of my favorite pins at home (I already have Haunted House from ToyShock; waiting for the upgraded PCB), that would be a real WIN!
Thanks again for being critical when need be and I hope to have one of these in the future!

I really like your review because you talked about value for the money, which is what some people seem to forget. I just picked mine up and played a few minutes. I love this thing! When it comes to value, there’s not much more I would expect from a LICENSED first generation virtual pinball for $600. Yes, there are issues that need to be fixed but overall they nailed the look, the sound is great, and the gameplay is fun even though the resolution seems like less than 720p. Atgames has better hardware and offers great value, but it’s all about the games and being able to play Attack From Mars at home is pretty spectacular. Of course the screen and pcb could be better but given the recent rise in shipping and parts cost that would make these machines much more expensive...and they will get more expensive. Overall, this is a fun machine and worth $600 in my opinion. Hopefully we get modular upgrades later, like for pcb for resolution and of course WiFi.

Anyway, I opened two support tickets late last night and sent them the documentation they wanted and in a couple hours got two replies that they were mailing me two sets of parts. Can't complain about the fast response!
I still was able to hook up the two machines to see how they played. I was VERY impressed. I've seen a lot of youtube videos in which reviewers have complained about the playing graphics and lack of wifi but I think the graphics are just fine (did not see any unreadable text) and I really don't care about pinball wifi connection since I am primarily a PC gamer. I think the solenoids really feel and sound great! The machines are loads of fun at least for a casual pinball gamer like me. Plus I am a big fan of the animations which some people do not like. Also, I never have been a pinball "nudger " so any deficiencies there do not effect me.
So, I don't know, maybe I will forgo getting the Legends pinball and maybe just get an Attack from Mars or wait for the 2nd gen 1up pinballs. I do not think slightly better graphics and a larger screen will make my pinball experience more fun. Plus I certainly like the Zen tables a lot more than those currently offered by Legends and I think the Legends outside graphics kinda suck. But, hey, you know me! I change my mind every five minutes! LOL. But my pinball itch has been definitely and satisfactorily scratched by these two machines. The only thing I would (and might) improve is adding a subwoofer to the sound because I like a lot of bass. But the sound, as is, is not bad.

To quote The Duke Of New York. My AGLP is A#1 I will not pay the same price for something with less functionality and quality. Sure it has a nice paint job, no Wi-Fi and just ten games. And according to you it's really just nine games. The sky is the limit for games on my AGLP for 600 US. No I would only purchase the acade1up AFM on a fire sale. And one more thing mate. I didn't have to assemble the back box on the AGLU likewise on the Toyshock and it's 400 US and it has 12 games... With all that said I do hope you enjoy your purchase it's just not for me.

I moved the flippers exactly to the restalgia video. Directly under the front board with the lock bar. It made a difference, but I know the tranducer upgrade will take it over the edge. I am building A VP at moment and my small build I put in a transducer , it works great. You feel the game .

Although the AtGames v-pin has better specs, I wasn't impressed by its weak bundled Gottlieb line-up, current offerings on Arcade Net, or the Zaccaria tables. I also think the v-pin itself is ugly. The artwork is a mess and "Legends Pinball" appears on the cabinet THREE TIMES - which is excessive. And they should have put a DMD in between the speakers instead of the AtGames logo.
I decided to go with the A1Up Star Wars v-pin, mostly because I am a huge Star Wars fan. My Star Wars v-pin arrived a little over a week ago and I am having a blast with it. Yes, the flippers have jagged edges and the graphics could be sharper, but it doesn't detract from the fun factor (at least to this casual player). I have zero regrets with my purchase, and have been checking Best Buy's website every day to see if I can also snag AFM. ;-)

The legends pinball logo on the coin door is a small sticker you can peel off. The apron one is removable if people buy the controller panel. Also the 1up version has Marvel over 4 times zen and 1up logo twice , I think the logo things is over exaggerated but agree the one on the apron can go ... if you google pinball tables you’ll noticed the brands are repeated about 4-5 times

@@khamla616 I have the A1Up Star Wars v-pin. Yes, Zen Studios logo is on it twice and Arcade1Up's logo is on it three times, but NOT plastered repeatedly in large font. The logos on the A1Up v-pin are far less obtrusive.

This cab is definitely not worth it, 9 games for $600 that don’t run well. The cab has too many flaws... jaggy / washed out graphics, weak solinoids, nudge doesn’t work great, dmd screen botch, list goes on and on... no WiFi , hi score botch... wait for generation two, typically Arcade1up you shouldn’t just buy it because of the artwork. This is comparable to when Sony released the PlayStation classic...looks nice had decent titles but ran horrible pal version etc etc ... buyers remorse will soon set in when gen 2-3 hits
