So true...John d,..”expand your market”??? They have to satisfy or at least keep the market they have before expanding.. can’t even get the products and have to fight each other for the few that are available.. that sucks

I’ve never heard of this brand before, and I don’t personally “get” brands like Supreme. I don’t love or hate this design, but I tend to dislike overbrandded products in general with an excess of giant logos. But, also no hate to anybody who likes these brands. :) In regards to the timing, both in terms of public optics and detracting from their other products... I think it’s tricky, because my guess is that a product like this is planned months in advance and requires a chain of sign offs. So I think any perceived ill-timing is just unavoidable circumstance. I’m definitely just speculating, but similarly, I’m not personally sure these special editions take away from their other products because I assume they’ve budgeted their resources on these things way out in advance, so I think it can easily look like they went, “oh, we’re sold out on everything else, I guess we’ll just use our spare resources on special editions nobody asked for.” when the reality could have just been these were all planned out far in advance and the timing just lined up this way. But, I could be wrong! My guess is as good as anybody’s. I also believe a company should pay attention to their numbers more than social media. Social media is often a loud voice, but not necessarily the common voice. People are more likely to be loud when they’re upset and less loud when they’re happy. Social media is insatiable.
I'm sure they pay attention to numbers and their market as some of the games they released was because fans asked for it. MvC, Xmen4player, and Dragonslayer show they do listen. Granted we got the 101 Pacman cabs that are feeling a bit abused at this point. These label whore things might help them expand the market and in return, we get more cabs.

I was just meaning that, in general, social media alone isn’t a great measurable indicator of data. I think social media is fine supportive data for actual measurable data like sales or surveys or things like that. I only bring this up because this video was reacting to social media reactions towards this fashion branded arcade cabinet. Social media might be saying “we hate this” very loudly, but the sales numbers might say that there’s a market for this and they’re worth producing. Or maybe the social media voices will mirror the sales. We don’t know. :) So I was just saying that either way, the voice of social media isn’t a great indicator of much, on its own. :)

I've seen them complain about dragons slayer and MVC even though the survey showed they were highly desired. Some folks are just bitter and plan on complaining no matter what.

Ok, so you have a fair point about the bad taste left in the mouth but you have to remember that partnerships like this are months in the making. That means that the two companies have had to agree on when this was going to launch and A1U can't really change that just because they have other products that need attention as well. The production run for this is most likely already done or will be done in the next few months but I'm pretty sure the only real bottleneck at the moment is the shipping from China to Los Angeles.
Five years from now this will be on eBay for double or triple the price.....just for being out in left field......to ask what everyone else is asking, WHY? or HUH?

They are all "Limited Edition" as in all these cabinets are getting way too difficult to find. The pre-orders are sometimes 6 months? I miss the days of just going to Wal-Mart and buying these.

Yuck this is awful but I already have the nba cab so... There seems to be a pattern here, constant announcements for new stuff and they botch releases for current products. I can understand a gloss over for the legacy cabs since those titles are rereleases but the pinball fiasco should be addressed first imo. This cab might be a first time or a one time buy. But the other products sell to the fan base. Two steps forward one step back.
