      It all ties back to the Old Testament (Judaism/Christianity/Islam) lore of angels, or more specifically archangels. There's some pagan ties as well.
      There seems to be a "Life Tree" which branches out into different universes, and there are particular souls/consciousness that are special and are metaphysical, and they are designed to help the tree like guardians. It's possible there are the usual corner-stones/4 archangels, or perhaps there are Seven Archangels.
      OA seems to be the first, and potentially the highest angel.
      Happ is OA's opposite, and would probably constitute the position of the devil/lucifer/azrael.
      The next likely candidates are Steven, Karim, Rahim, Homer, and Buck.

    When you talk about the final episode after the OA falls, I think you forgot a key piece about Hap... Hap KNEW this dimension and purposely planned their jump there using the flower petals. He knew of the dimension because it was Scott's NDE... Scott the guy with dreads who was locked up with the OA underground by Hap. Scott TOLD Hap that in his NDE, it was weird because Hap was a British guy who was happily married to the OA, whose name was Brit. Hap planned that jump and knew that he was Brit's husband because of that info from torturing Scott (it was the night Scott died and was resurrected by the OA and Homer doing the movements all night for the first time).

    Notice how there are some similar character trait overlap between the two tribes among the 4 people that were trapped with the OA and the boys / BBA . Aside from the fact that Buck and Rachel have some sort of connection with Buck being able to see Rachel in the mirror in season 2, they both have this ability to sing and then both get stuck in some other realm/dimension as Rachel is somewhere in the inbetween and Buck/ Michelle is missing in another dimension. Notice both characters aren't exactly leaders but they both never really have doubts or resist OA and her teachings. Scott and BBA are obviously connected since BBA is apparently who gave Scott the 3rd movement as revealed when Dr. Roberts is recording his response for Hap. But also notice how both BBA and Scott have this self doubt and are almost reluctant to sacrifice for the greater good without multiple parties convincing them to do so (for example convincing Scott to inhale the gas and convincing BBA to travel to another dimension). Renata might be similar to French, as they both get their own sex scenes (okay that's not that important), but they both seem to be a bit more selfish with French retracting his investment in this whole thing afraid he'll lose focus of his scholarship, exploring his sexuality, and skeptical after finding those books while Renata is retracted in season 2 as she's in denial of everything that happened in the 1st dimension but in the end both French and Renata come in clutch with French unintentionally calling Rahim revealing to the group he's been sent to protect OA and giving the confirmation to the group that this is all real and Renata acknowledging that her memories are real and freeing Homer from the elevator. Finally, Steve's character is very similar to Homer, other than the fact that Steve sees Homer in the mirror, they're both leaders in being the first to initiate the movements and they're always the first to run to OA's aid. My guess is similar to the trees saying that they are all interconnected what if by OA teaching these movements to the first 4 captives / Hap and then to the boys/BBA that it established this invisible connection linking each individual to the person responsible for each numbered movement?

    I think also when they jumped at the end, that HAP was able to incorporate his other selves (for whatever reason) and that is why he says "Prairie" but then starts using his British accent. Of course, he could just be lying because he knows in Scott's NDE he had a British accent, but that is just my theory. It will be interesting to see next season if HAP knows who he is and who he was before, but the OA has no memory of other lives.

Although i wonder what Jason (having been playing Hap) will think of his multidimensional behaviour. Is it possible for Jason to be more of a battle for Hap this time around than the OA? Split personas can do tremendous harm to eachother.

    • @drana8937
      @drana8937 Před 5 lety +2

      @@staceyogier6154 I believe it is HAP. He has not only seen this other dimension from eating "Scott's " petals but he also knew that The OA was his wife, he considers her his property. With dimension changing, although we have only seen it once in full, brings on confusion in the first few moments, so for him running to her when she when she falls and calling her Prairie is not something Jason Isaacs would have done. HAP has not learned about how to integrate, He saw OA fully integrated but unless I missed something he did not learn how to do so, nor do I believe he will, he wants to be in full control and does not want to share his body, another. Scott said it was "weird how they (The OA seemed in love with HAP)"If this is true love between Jason Isaacs and her, Then I get your point about Jason Isaacs possibly being a formidable opponent against HAP, but The OA has also been that she will forget the past and needs her tribe. I think they all jumped except maybe Steve's girlfriend, or maybe her tribe, is not only the BBA, Steve, ( the only ones that may have jumped), possibly Homer, who may think he is just an actor, but also her "brother" who is present in every universe. She will probably think Homer, Steve and the BBA have started to believe that these "actors" have because delusional. I would love to see Buck, But it looks as though Buck may stay in Dimension 2. Thanks for putting out Theories and I welcome more from all of you, as this one is just one of mine, they are all good.

    • @MattCalovich
      @MattCalovich Před 5 lety

      @@drana8937 I think you had a lot of good ideas here, and I mostly agree.
      *Hap is only Hap* He doesn't know about the integration, nor would I think his character would want to do that. He's too self centered and always *NEEDS* to be in control. Not only that, but the "Guide" told Hap some information and she told OA some information, very *specifically* giving them *different* bits. For Hap's egotistical mind, she gave him the tools to jump(this also helps OA because she may want/need to jump and she has to apparently have her "Shadow" stay with her, so him having this tool is good), but she specifically gave OA the knowledge of merging with her other selves. Hap not knowing all of this, or maybe not wanting to be anyone other than himself, will keep him from figuring out how to use these tools in a more powerful/meaningful way. Also, and I don't have the source on this so just go with me, apparently Jason Isaacs(the actor) specifically said he was trying to do an "American attempting a British accent", if he really merged... it would just be a natural, or his natural, British accent.(the same way OA can perfectly replicate Nina now, because they are one.)
      *Remember what Hap was trying to do* all along, find a way to control OA and latch on to this new tool/power. By creating the "map" in the previous Dimension, and using Scott's NDE as a lead, he found the perfect Dimension in which he could hopefully control OA and had built in tools to make her doubt any other life. These tools are, the fact that she's an actor that has been through scenes of things that have happened in her real life, which will keep her from accurately separating fact from fiction, and her being married to Hap, which Hap hopes will keep her from doubting or being scared of him. Little did he know though... Karim threw him a wrench, the Bird. Now she could, given the right influences, sort out fact from fiction without her love for Jason Isaacs getting in her way.
      *As far as Buck* goes, I think you made an assumption there. I think Michele returned to Dimension 2, Buck is still in Dimension 1, and Bucks Actor stays in Dimension 3. All Karim was ever trying to do, was to get Michelle back and I think he succeeded in that, while the OA brother inside him helped OA with the pigeon. I don't think this actually says anything about Bucks whereabouts per se, only Michelle's. That being said, who's to know if Buck traveled to Dimension 3, inside of Actor Buck, while Michelle stays in Dimension 2?
      (On that same note, I question whether Nina jumped, or Dr. Roberts... and so on. This season tried to fill in some of the blanks on using the tools and seemingly will and intent are huge factors, if Homer wanted to jump, but Dr. Roberts didn't... who'd jump? If OA jumped without Nina, would some of Nina's medium abilities rub off?)
      I think the sense of *will* and *intent* is very important in this series and we've only scratched the surface, in both using the tools to travel and also who's in control when travel has taken place. I think if the host is open and willing, and the traveler is as well, merger can take place automatically. Although, if a conflict emerges, the more willful spirit will take control. Lets look at some examples:
      1) *OA* & *Nina* - OA jumped with absolute intent and pointed her compass at Homer, she landed in Nina who was on a journey of "enlightenment" after reading Dr. Percy's book, therefore she was willing. With a willing host, OA took over and there was no battle for power.
      2) *Homer* & *Dr. Roberts* - Homer jumped, but only reluctantly so. He couldn't be reunited with OA if he was dead, so knowing this he was more of a passive and reluctant traveler. When he arrived in Dr. Roberts body, his will was too low to take over, and Dr. Roberts & Homer weren't in a compatible mindset to merge. This mixed with the fact that the host was an up and coming Doctor who was striving to establish himself in his profession, Homer was "boxed away" and Dr. Roberts persisted until his mind was in a more open place to accept some of the things he's been hearing.
      3) *Renata#1* & *Renata#2* (I forget her second identity differences) - I think Renata#1 contained the will to jump, and Renata#2 was open to accept a different reality(possibly from her therapy). Although we don't get a lot of evidence of Renata#2's willingness state, I think we do get enough to assume they've merged. During Renata#2's therapy we figure out Dr. Percy has successfully gotten her to accept that she has 2 realities, and Renata#1's reality is a fabrication, but we can tell she's still struggling with this idea. The big part here though is when OA tries to push her and ask if she remembers Renata#1's past, we get a surprising answer. She says she can remember both Renata#1 and Renata#2's histories, and the doctors are basically trying to get her to believe that Renata#1's is false. Being able to know both so vividly that she has to struggle holding on to one is real makes it real that she's actually merged. We find out no one else has this type of recall, unless they are merged.

    Hap said he was her husband because Scott mentioned that in his NDE he saw OA kissing Hap, or married (something like that) and that she didn't remembered who she was, and that was the dimension Hap was thinking about when the robots made the moves. We saw Homer lose his memory when they jumped into his NDE, and now this is Scott/OA’s NDE, and Old Night Octopops already told us she won’t remember herself. So it’s the perfect opportunity for Hap, except that Steve is there

      But one thing the octopus says to OA is that her brother follows her into every dimension. When it first said that I panicked and thought it meant Homer. Lol
      But I think it's more likely Steve or Rahim. The only thing is Rahim and Steve both helped from one dimension to assist OA. And Steve literally follows her.
      But the other thing we need to know. Is it a brother by birth or brother by connection/bond?
      It could be Steve if it's her actual brother. Maybe her father had another child and sent the baby to the orphanage with her. There was that baby at the orphanage... Or maybe they meant that baby is connected to her like a brother... It seems to live the life she had in her original world. And who knows maybe Steve was adopted and they didn't tell him.

""Wer, wenn ich schriee, hörte mich denn aus der Engel Ordnungen?" = "Who, if I cried out, would hear me among the Angelic Orders".
      The braille on OA's father's left cheek says "5 as leere jene", which translates to "5 as empty ones". The braille on his right cheek is too difficult to to see. (How's that for irony?)
      There is also braille on the wall of the FBI building lobby in Part 1, episode 7 which reads, "R1C85L". Re[lacing the numbers relative to their letter position in the alphabet; 1=A, 8=H, 5=E... RACHEL.

    prior to OA and Hap, since he apparently knew exactly when/where to find

      It’s NOT a plot hole. So the therapist recommended to her parents to buy those books after hearing OA’s story. This was already after the fact she had been sharing her story to the kids. OA then tells her parents later in the story. When French mentions the books to the dad after she had already died, the dad clarified that the books came after she had already been telling her story, and now understands how those books relate to her story and why they were given to her in the first place. So in some sense, the dad finally believes her daughter at the very end

    Although more intricate in the OA, the device of jumping dimensions resembles the device of zombies suddenly appearing in The Walking Dead. Interesting for a while, but eventually becomes a cliche and if there's no coherent thread, just silly.

    My theory is that this will be a story of Hap's redemption. My clue is that it was Hap that took down the school shooter. You can clearly see his face in the shooting scene. The over all theme that many real NDE'ers relate is that we are here to experience the universe from the perspective of a human and to grow spiritually. I'm thinking that Hap may actually start to lose his evil ways through several dimensions and will end up being redeemed by saving the kids from the school shooter.

    I'm sorry OA brother? Never understood that. This became so impossible to understand I had no idea what was happening at all on the finale. Growing bodies in a pool with plants? Robots dancing with her friends but there was no purpose. The house with puzzle was never explained as to who created it, what purpose of solving puzzle was, or why the brother was in the house at the end. Why did Peter the rich dude have drawings of Rahim?? and what did he have to do with death, the house? The dudes character had one scene in the entire show for 5 minutes and was never devloped or explained except he was her rich boyfriend. WHAT? Why was asian girl an old lady, then in a hospital bed, then it was said she didn't exist? No body? Why did OA fall from the window in the house? Why was Dr. her husband with British accent? Why was the buffed dude in the ambulance at the end and where were the other characters? Seriously WORST TV SHOW IN HISTORY when it came to the Finale.

And all the others in the garden were the same kids (dimension 2 versions of the kids we know) - except the purple haired guy. So all the others were there becuse their paths crossed with the OA in the first dimension, except for that one strange boy? so is he really just a random dude, or ...? could he have been the shooter? idk

      @@avrilavignexxo actually, I think it was unneccessery to share everything with the grandma. they could have found another way to make her hire Karim without letting her in on the whole house-riddle-situation. if someone tells you that `your granddaughter is in a coma because she solved a riddle and looked through a window and her spirit is now trapped there, and the only person who can free her is this one guy` is it more convincing that `sorry, we heard that your granddaughter is missing, but here is this guy who is really good at finding people`

    Interestingly there are a bunch of promo interviews with Jason Issacs talking about the OA where he's wearing the same clothes as he was wearing at the end of Season 2 when he jumped into the actor Jason Issacs.....who could be promoting his show on talk shows in this dimension. There is one, (GMA I think) that I can't find now, where he actually slips up and refers to himself as Hap and goes on and on about how he's not a villain. Coincidence?

    Remember in season one when she hears the name OA and can’t quite figure out what it was but guess the voice is saying OA. I think the real name was Theo A, what I’m saying is I think the OA is BBA’s dead brother. There’s a shot in season one where BBA preforms a movement involuntary and there’s a moment where BBA says “I wish you could have met him” and OA replies something along the lines of “me too” but you get the sense that it could Theo A responding to his sister in a way. I think this whole show will be one big cycle and the last season will lead directly into the first in a never ending cycle
