I took an ATL to LHR Virgin flight on the same A330-300 and also sat in economy (61A). Although I felt very close to my neighbor (the seats seemed very close together) I found the legroom good and the dinner tasty (gnocchi). The staff was very friendly and all in all, a smooth, excellent flight. Thanks for your report, David!

I agree, though the meal did look nice (I normally don't like the sound of the food on Virgin), it was small, also - what is the point of that tiny key lime pie? But the snack box did look adequately good, I was pleasantly surprised...
A greeting from either stewardess at 3:14 would have been nice. Both chatting to each other & brunette even looked round but no response. A simple 'hello' would not have gone a miss....

The video looks like an echo from a different era, when there was no social distancing and traveling was a normal thing. Those people did not know that somewhere else, in Wuhan, China, a tiny little RNA molecule was entering the scene. It would change the world forever. Btw, I like your suitcase :D

This is like flying on a Virgin Atlantic Airbus a330-300 flight flight from JFK-New York to LHR-London Heathrow and the best time is to leave home in the evening and get to the airport at night that way to get to your destination in the morning so good job with the editing Simply Aviation your flight was smooth

Great trip report. The dinner was quite small, but it's good that they served a small snack box for breakfast. Most airlines only serve 1 meal for a 6-hour flight

I flew on Virgin’s A330 awhile ago and I really prefer BA. BA is usually a lot cheaper and the food is much better between NY and London. I would like to try Virgin’s new A350 though.
I just flew with Virgin Atlantic for the 1st time in my life ! A fabulous product !! Both de light & premium were delightful & very very comfortable !! Just ...the gate issues ...not sure why...both ways ,they changed my gates at the last minutes !! Almost missed my flight .And on returning the new gate was all the way to the other side ...I asked other passengers & they all agreed with me that it was easy to miss the announcements !! They told me Virgin did this ( gate changing ) to them a lot !! That's something I didn't like for sure !! 💜🥁🐉🎤🎶✈️💞
Ever realized how Big Bang Theory and Indian food have become common on most international flights! Don’t care much for the former but lovvvveee the latter.
I wish a review showed a little bit more. Cabin exit seats, next to the toilet seats, seats without windows etc. Most of us coming to watch this are looking to make a seat selection easier. This video made it clear to go for seat 59A or C .... I wish that was in the title. Thanks
Crazy thing is that this technically allows one to travel from the center of Manhattan all the way to the center of London completely indoors. The power of underground transportation.
Worked for both airlines in the U.K. & US in the 80’s. Being a Brit but living in the US for almost 40 years, I’ve done the Miami to LHR a lot. I always go VA and usually in Premium Economy since I think the price difference is worth it. Have done a few trips in first class back when points were worth something. Just hope they can ride out the current crisis.

A couple of weeks ago my wife and I flew from JFK to London (LHR) with Virgin Atlantic 787 Dreamliner. The flight was 7 hours so not sure how 333 made it for 6? But we had below average experience on that flight. Check in was a shocker, the person at the desk did not know what she was doing. Boarding was good and seats were OK (I am 185cm tall or just under 6'1). No water offered until the food was served, actually no service was present at all until then... Food was crap in quantity and quality. They mention something over the com system about some food restrictions but I didn't hear it all because of a very low sound volume from the cabin speakers. Before landing there was just a some sort of fruit yogurt. IFE was good if you cannot sleep and just want to watch movies or play games. Flight was late 20 minutes on departure but arrived on time. On its own the flight was OK but only if you have a really low expectation or if compared to others it was below average. If I have to I will fly with Virgin again but if I have a choice I would go for Delta or United.
I hope Virgin Atlantic can survive the current mess going on, I would love to do a trip report on them one day. Also, 02:21 they seem to be having plenty of fun.

10 days before my flight to JFK, the aircraft keeps changing from A330, 787, A350. Booking originally showed 787, now showing A350. I really hope its not an A330. Compared to the newer aircraft, the cabin looks a lot more dated despite the 2018 refresh. That IFE screen could easily be found 10+ years ago. Great review though as always!
If I were to design an airport terminal I would have an Express Bag Drop Off at the AirTrain Station before entering the terminal and security lanes directly connected.

Tymgames I’ve never had a bad flight on BA. Longest delay was 3 hrs due to bad weather taking off from Heathrow
