    Summary:
Prediabetes is characterized by higher than normal blood glucose levels. This means the fasting blood glucose level is in the 100 to 125 milligrams per decilitre range, and the hemoglobin A1C level is between 5.7 and 6.4 percent. Pre-diabetes is also referred to as impaired glucose tolerance (IGT), or impaired fasting glucose (IFG).
In today's video, we're going to talk about the top 12 prediabetes symptoms and treatment for adult men and women. When your blood glucose levels are higher than normal, but not high enough to be diagnosed as diabetes, this is a condition known as prediabetes. So why is pre-diabetes a big deal? This is because 75% of people who have it, end up developing full-scale type 2 diabetes - even though pre-diabetes is fully reversible! All the facts are explained in this video.

I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes a year and a half ago, and i was told to be irreversable and i would be on metformin and statins for the rest of my life.
Well i threw the metformin and statins i had left in the rubish bin and never took them again. I went on a keto diet and did IF, plus i started going to the gym for cardio and weights workouts. I lost a stone and and a quarter in weight, got down to 15% body fat,
Improved my fitness tremendousely, and at my last blood test i reversed my diabetes, with my readings even below average.
The nurse who was assigned to me and who took my blood, couldn't believe her eyes and when i told her i did without medications, she was lost for words. I told her that diabetes is a diet induced condition, and can be reversed by changing your bad diet alone, that's all no meds needed. I told her to suggest her old fashion doctor to take a refresher, cause he's out of date, and stop pushing his poisonous tablets recklessly...lol..

Hell yeah that's awesome. I hate when they tell you "It's not reversible"... No doc, you've never reversed you're cases because you are missing nutrional wisdom to do so. And I'm not saying all cases comes down to nutrition but for the vast majorty especially with type 2, it's pretty well known at this point. Good for you I'm beyond happy with you're success and you're courage to go against the grain which is so tricky, risky and difficult to do so good on you

I have a very simple rule of thumb:
    No Lollies (candies)
    No Chocolates
    No Chips
    No Biscuits (cookies)
    No Soda
    No Bread
Easy when added to Intermittent fasting. I have an eating window of 12pm - 6pm.

I always eat bread for lunch at work, but rarely otherwise. What would you recommend for lunch at work?
I dont see it as an option to quit as I hardly ever have enough appetite to eat a proper breakfast (may still eat a little, but its often less than the equivalent of one slice of bread). I addition I'm doing physical labor for hours on most workdays (some workdays may be calmer). By the time its lunch I'm often really hungry. And I may also feel exhausted during work which is worse, I try to make sure I have enough energy for work.
Anyway it does not sound like I have pre-diabetes based on these symptoms, but I have had rash for months now.

@@Mirrorgirl492 Do you stop being lethargic and unfocused for the first half of the day also? If so how long does that take? And how can you have more energy before eating?
So far I always get that problem if I don't eat until noon or evening. I have fasted for 24 hours a few times (never on a work day, I feel I could not function well enough), but tend to feel really hungry and unfocused during the last part of that day and lethargic most of the day, plus feel I need the next day to recover where I also eat more. But on days I am home and relaxing I feel okay with at least not eating till I would normally have lunch at work (which is about 4 hours after waking up). Around that time I start feeling hungry if I haven't been active. While if I am active, I feel hungry an hour or two before that

I had a heart attack shorty after being diagnosed with type 2 (2005) and a stroke earlier this year. I went "all in" and started a strict, clean Keto diet. My last A1C was 5.6 off the metformin and glimpiperide (was 7.6 on the drugs). I've also lost 40lbs on keto.

You haven't mentioned a big one. Recurring bacterial infection, starts with itchiness that can't be satisfied by scratching, then your skin just mysteriously goes red and begins to dissolve accompanied by swelling. After that you end up with a weeping sore. It's because the bacteria that are naturally present on your skin feed on the glucose and go crazier than normal throwing things out of balance, normally your body can handle these bacteria without any problem. Medical profession are rather ignorant to these symptoms and will try to treat it with anti-biotics, it may go away but will just come back if you don't lower your blood sugar. Best way to do this is with a low carb diet, and practice intermittent fasting coupled with some exercise. Most people don't realize that it is not just sugar that's the problem, carbs are converted to glucose in the body. You actually don't need carbs in your diet at all, only fat and protein. God bless and good health everyone!
P.S. Undiagnosed diabetes or pre diabetes leads to heart disease among other things, if you suffer from edema(swelling in your hands feet and legs) then likely you are starting to also get congestive heart failure, many of the symptoms overlap like fatigue or sleepiness, unexplained weight gain etc. You can reverse both insulin resistance and early stage congestive heart failure through good healthy exercise and nutrition, with lifestyle changes as well.

I reversed my pre- diabetes, I educated myself and did lots of research on foods. Forget about the food pyramid you learn in elementary. I try to only eat 25 net carbs a day. I have lost 30 pounds, lowered my Triglycerides, and my A1c is now 5.4. I used to think Oatmeal , heart healthy cereal, low fat foods and lots of fruit was healthy. That was making me fat and raised my sugar level.

@@irenelalouve2679 I eat al types of meat, chicken, pork and fish. I try to go for the leaner ones and I bake or grill them. If I eat bread it’s only once a week and then it’s low carb bread. Aldi has a Keto friendly bread that is 0 net carbs (net meaning you subtract the amount of fiber from carbs , which equals total carbs). There are also some low carb tortillas from Mission or you can make your own. Chaffles are my bread substitute. I can give you recipe for chaffles. Until I did my research I would have never believed I could eat bacon and butter and lose weight. I use unsweetened almond milk for smoothies and other recipes. You can eat berries. I eat burgers and sandwiches with chaffles for bread. I’ve learned to make desserts with stevia and monk fruit, yes it makes a delicious cheesecake. I have a sweet tooth so I found a way to make it work. Try to avoid or limit pineapple, mangoes and bananas as they are really high in carbs. Just Google everything before you eat it to check carb count. Avacadoe are very healthy, lots of good fats. If you message me I can send you recipes. Joe Duff has some great ones on You Tube. Looking back, I know that I was prediabetic in my 20's yet went into denial and was too busy being a twenty-something to care. Nowadays, as a Type 2 Diabetic, who, thank God, is managing the disease via meds, lifestyle & diet changes, + exercise, I try to tell everyone I can about this chronic illness. Believe me, you don't want it. Yet I have seen so many relatives & friends lose digits & limbs, eyesight, on dialysis, heart disease, etc. OR DEAD due to failure to take this disease seriously. Other red flags are frequent yeast infections esp. in women, skin changes including very dry +'infections, fruity odor to breath, and extreme fatigue. Most don't know they have Diabetes (particularly Type 2 Adult Onset) or simply go into denial and/or take it seriously but I kid you not it can be very serious, even life-threatening, when you just brush it off.

Eating sweets is not my favorite, but if i take a large portion of them, my blood sugar level rises high. I think it's the high concentration of the glucose flowing into the bloodstream all at once. Heartburn, Acid reflex, High Blood pressure, high cholesterol, Severe Depression, Anxiety, Insomnia, B12 deficient, Arthritis, Nerve damage ( requiring surgery ) and weight gain. So many diagnoses, but not one mention of diabetes. Had he bothered to do his job, I would be a lot better off. I wouldn’t be on 9 medications and almost crippled physically and mentally. Earlier this month I had bloodwork done, been 2 yrs anyways so it was time lol. My dr says I could've been pre but no way of really knowing now. Eating healthy and loosing all that weight reversed it. My A1C was 4.8, but still today when I check it in morning or 2 hours or longer after eating it's still around 112.....I wanted to ask about the smell thing too..Says our eyes reverse after gettin numbers down. So why the strange smell still..I don't know if it's common or normal being I'm 45 yrs old, but I've had a couple lil things on my legs, upper thighs that I picked off an they just bleed so bad...Has you had this experience also?? I don't like to even mess with dr cause it seems like we get the bare minimum an it's always to late when they do test for anything an then there's no help, just meds to treat symptoms...oh uea the smell is after I've sweat or waited a day or so to shower. Just a total different smell..I'm just confused on how everything is supposed to be back to normal. But nothing is. Hope you get back with me hun, thank you!!

I have prediabetes now, and when I heard my glucose levels were “slightly high”, nobody told me what that meant, the doctor and staff didn’t tell me ANY of what this says above…. just “try to eat right okay?”.
I did my own research out of being terrified when I woke up in the floor at 4AM.. obviously blood sugar related.
Many of the symptoms in the video happened to me, but most people, professionals or not, relatives and just acquaintances, made me feel like I was overly concerned. They do that a lot to men by the way, but then when we turn out to BE sick, they claim we’re too macho or have an ego, therefore we don’t take care of ourselves.
    Makes me hate people sometimes.
Anyway, if it’s any help, just be concerned. Eat as if you are what humans used to be; if it has to be carbohydrates, make it light and small, like berries, some greens you would chew on to stay satisfied. With proteins- grass fed, and lean. Don’t worry about eating fats if it’s from things like olives or avocado, and if it’s on organic grass fed meat. It’s fine and natural. They cover this in the video, but it’s actually quite simple. Just get rid of the human-invented food. Think like the stone age.

I watch my weight every day for weight gain which helps to wear tight clothing because you feel it more and gets unfordable when you gain weight. I wear 30 pairs of jeans and used to wear size 33. I do intermittent fasting for a 16 hour period almost every day and find I have more energy than ever. I felt awful before and do not want to go back.

Add it to the extensive list of 'if you do so and so, you'll get this and that'. My doctor frightens me into regular dieting and increased exercise regimes with descriptions of horrible consequences from t2d and heart problems if I don't. Which kind of works. Though sadly, backsliding on diet or exercise occurs after a while and we go back to square one. I was told once that if the doctor had a dog my size he'd be told by the vet to take it up on the hills to chase rabbits all day. But that doesn't really help.

I was prediabetic but I reversed it by eating danilion flowers and eating an insulin plant leaf once per day for almost 30 days. I'm no longer prediabetic and I have lost over 22 pounds within three years. I'm still currently losing weight. The more weight I lose, the easier and faster I lose more weight. My goal is to weigh 130-150lbs. I don't care if I am a little fat, but I just don't want to be in the obese range anymore. I actually look very good when I get down to 160 and less pounds. I know I can lose the weight as I have done it before. I can't guarantee I can get to 130, but I would be happy enough weighing 150 or less.

My blood work is mostly normal except my blood glucose is always either in the prediabetic range or in a 6.4 range. It was higher for the past several years between 6.5 - 6.7 range. Despite that, I'm still healthy & happy. I do take my once-a-day multi-vitamins for men. 👍✌🦉🙏.

I had my labs checked about two months ago or so and they told me there was no sign of diabetes. However, for the last few years I've noticed things that have concerned me. Mainly a tingling in my feet in the morning when I wake up (although I haven't had that lately), but what I have had more recently is a medium amount of moles growing under my arm which this video mentions. So I'm going to try to cut back a little bit with the sugar. I'm not addicted to sweets by any means, but I do drink an exceptionally large amount of sweet tea. My family makes some almost every day and that's our drink with almost all of our meals. I use to be a huge water fanatic when I was younger, and I'm going to try to get back to that.

The blood sugar levels doctors in North America are taught to tell people are normal are considered early diabetes levels everywhere else in the world. This is how the American food industry, the Big Pharma, and the US medical establishment *knowingly* mislead the public, thus CREATING a problem that happens to be very lucrative for all three. If you don't believe me, check out what the rest of the world considers normal blood sugar levels versus what the US and Canada consider normal. And then check it with your doctor, too: in North America, "normal" includes blood sugar levels up to 125 mg/dl or 5.6 mmol/L. In Europe, Asia, and Africa, anything above 100 mg/dl or 4.6 mmol/L is treated as early diabetes.
In short, if you are in North America, relying on your doctor to catch elevated blood sugar levels early on or diagnose insulin resistance (a pre-diabetic condition) will only ensure that you end up with *well established* (deep) T2 diabetes before you're warned anything's amiss. The collusion between the food industry, BigPharma, and the medical establishment in North America is truly criminal and would be treated as such in any society that actually cares for human health.

I was diagnosed as prediabetic 8 years ago. I have a lot of the symptoms mentioned on here and CKD which has just recently taken a turn for the worse. Awaiting results of blood tests and urine samples. I've also acquired gout, possibly as a result of kidneys not efficiently working to keep uric acid levels under control and also gout is related to metabolic syndrome. I am very fat with a BMI approaching morbidly obese levels. I also have binge eating disorder which makes it almost impossible to stick to a diet as I get stressed if I'm not constantly eating. So the keto diet is a non starter for me. Tried it once and ended up on a prolonged carb and refined sugar binge that lasted for months. I still haven't gained full control over my eating. Am wondering if I should just give up and let nature take its course which means my life expectancy is going to be cut short. It might even be too late to turn it round.
I cannot get a sensible piece of advice from any of the experts on how to deal with the binge eating which is killing me. I'm told people with eating disorders shouldn't go on diets, but the 'experts' have nothing to say if you have to lose weight for health reasons.

It is possible to overcome eating, I would eat non stop when I first started eating everyday the normal foods they say you should eat, I put on 12kg and took it off again 4 times to prove it to my doctor, problem is no one and even doctors don't know what's happening to you or me, I had to prove it but no one cares unless it happens to them, so you should care and worry about yourself because no one else will if you don't, you haven't failed and you tried but you need to do it again and again until you Start it and get it going, I did bad keto and stuffed myself up, no I just started good keto and my blood is better, I am not fatigued everyday and crawling into bed like last year, if I can do it you can do it, start on very low carbs and eat the same crappy meal everyday, it's food to power the mind and body not your cravings, so give it a go, you either try or you fail but how many days have you woken up failing, so wake up and live a different lifestyle, make the most of it, all this process ed food is crap and than that's all it will be, yes it's hard but it gets better everyday.
