We located, and salvaged the remains of one of the Superflo 46 Cole Trickle Days of Thunder Chevys

- We received a tip that one of the 46 crash cars was abandoned in a field. What we didn’t know was it was one of the cannon powered flip cars.

From the looks of it, this used to originally be a Rob Moroso Swisher Sweets Oldsmobile~ That's super awesome, and makes it even cooler than just a Days of Thunder car if it really was one of Rob's~

Love this movie and this channel . I aquired one of the Letterman style Days of Thunder crew jackets from a family member of a crew member . It would be my Dream to have all these cars you keep finding . Glad someone is saving them

One of my favorite movies. Cool seeing that the cars are still out there and you are finding them. This was all be computers ruined the movies.
Great job on finding what's left of them and saving them from completely rotting or going to the crusher.....but I know your a great guy because of all the Rusty Wallace stuff! You'd love my space at my house with all the RW memoribilia in it! Hopefully you'll find the other 2!

Imagine that mounted in the air upside down on a 45° angle. Looking like it's mid roll. Would look epic. Just In idea, don't know how practical it would be to do it.
This one would be a good candidate for a partial restoration. By partial,I mean taking the worst side and restore the inside and outside to movie correct. Split it right down the middle.
I was wondering if it was one of the cars from that b roll footage when you were first looking at it. Pretty cool!
I’m 99% sure it’s the car at 3:30 in the B roll that flips forward behind the 43 car. There’s a hole in the driver side for a camera mount that can be seen in the flip sequence that’s in the car I have. They used that initial flip in the movie.
@@coorsbandit5212 I assume it was previously bodied as an Oldsmobile, that is why it had the Olds sticker? No matter what, it is an awesome piece of history. I am really enjoying your videos!

Supposedly, at the end of filming, Rick Hendrick ended up with a lot of the cars used. A number of them the wrecked cars.
Rick and at least one other guy ended up with the majority of them.

There's another guy, JD Motors i believe is the companies name, had three cars at one time!! He's down to one car now, but they were apparently parked behind some ladies barn, overgrown just like this car, and she called and told someone from the production company, hey i still have these three cars in my backyard, could someone please come pick them up? They apparently totally forgot about them and we're blown away when she called!!

Appreciate it. I was confused at what they were getting at. The bucees thing I was just suggesting there be parking spaces for RVs a little closer to the building so people with larger vehicles like my truck with single car trailer didn’t hog car spots up.

Saw all these car together on a transporter going through Boiling Springs sc and later saw them in a field while buying some mustang part from Mr Mason. Don't know where they all went or if the family still has any or not.
They do not. Jerry brought some of them back from the movie, and sold them. They do have some racing things from jerrys employment at bud Moore racing.

Check the chassis numbers it may be more valuable as what it originally was...than the movie car.

There were 2 superflor crash cars. This one, that flipped end over end with no driver inside, and another with a driver that rolled sideways.

The guy in the video telling the stories is my dad. He was in the film production crew in the body shop

The stunt cars were built by multiple shops around Mooresville and Spartanburg.
Saw Oldsmobile on the dash, any idea what it’s petagree is?
it also has a Swishers Sweet on that dash as well and its possibly at one time a former Rob Moroso car
