No, the Butterfly Knife.
For anyone curious the pistol appears to be a browning model 10/71, the extended magazine toe, raised sights and odd shape of the rear of the slide point me in that direction. This pistol was a derivative of the FN model of 1922 (which in turn is derived from the model of 1910). The pistol was created in 1971 to appeal to the firearms laws at the time but was quickly discontinued in 1974 Because it wasn't popular. As an alternative it could be a model of 1922 but with custom sights and an extended magazine toe but the firearm is too rusted to tell.

I think it is a Browning model 1922. The grip and the iron sights are different, but the gun is the most similar one I found. Good luck dude!

This probably won't get noticed but that's my life anyway. These videos are actually great. He's helping clean up trash and other things from water sources, the job obviously pays well, (A whole 11 cents. The things he finds he might be able to sell also.) it's entertaining to watch, and it also can help out local detectives, policemen, ect. with finding things that could be evidence for crimes or just to keep dangers away from the public. I wish I had this job.

That gun, is a 1700 Long nose sniper rifle pump action 35 gauge shotgun shank. It holds 1 round and it can shoot 50 rounds per second at 2 yards per yarn and uses 2 Double-D batteries.

With a really bad rusty gun it takes a a very long time to find out who it belongs to and sometimes it’s impossible, but you are doing the right thing and calls the cops

That right there is CONFIRMED to be a Browning Model 10/71 aka M1971
I knew it as soon as i saw the sights. It looks similar to what i first thought it was, which is the Browning 1910/1922 designs, which it is based off, but fires. 380 ACP. It was made in response to the 1968 import gun restrictions. It looked so outdated though that nobody bought it. Very cool find.
If you wanna find when it was made, the first 2 numbers should indicate the year, followed by the letter N and then the serial. The number is on the grip right under the trigger guard.
EDIT: I see a lot of people thinking it's an FN 1922. It's based off it, but this is not the 1922 because of the adjustable sights.

I know what pistol you found without a doubt. It is a FN/Browning model 10/71. It fires the .380 cartridge and is semi-automatic. The most interesting thing about the pistol you found.... without giving a history lesson, etc.... is that the grips were removed (they were made out of a composite material and would not fail under water). If you've ever fired this gun, you'd know the grips (stock) were terrible and didn't fit in the hand well. It would also make it MUCH more convenient to slide this into a pocket, pants, jacket, etc. if the horrible catchy grips were removed. My opinion... this gun belonged to someone that kept it on them and concealed very often and didn't have a quality working knowledge of handguns. They removed the grips (instead of replacing them) out of ignorance.... likely a gang members' weapon. Also, it being off the side of a bridge is telling... it was likely used in a crime/s and was ditched for obvious reasons. It is POSSIBLE that the weapon IS loaded. And, although unlikely, it could potentially fire if a round is in battery. Due to it's poor condition and bound parts, it would likely explode in the shooters hand. It should be cleared at all costs.

Theres a water park in Coolum, Australia where you would find heaps of stuff because there is a lot of tea tree oil in the water and peoples jewelry fall off with out hem even knowing. millions of people visit this park each year and it would be a good place to got to.

(NOT A 1911!) however it was designed by the same person. It’s a FN browning 1922 .32 ACP used in WW2 but in limited quantities. It’s too small for a FN 5.7 or 1911. Not wide enough to be a Walther P38 or PPK.
Finally, someone that actually knows what they are talking about. To everyone else, every gun is a 1911. haha
The 1922 was also in 380 so could be either and they were the official pistol of the Yugoslavian military and I think Belgium used them also

To all those who think its a luger or m1911...
Its not first of all a luger pistol would have a iconic blowback handle which the gun clearly shows no sign of. And it isn’t a m1911 as the colt had a bulky trigger and handle, which the gun doesn’t show any sign of.

The handgun is a Browning 10/71 .380 ACP. Also can be found as Browning Model 1971. It is based on an imported gun named FN Model 1910, but with added features intended to comply with the Gun Control Act of 1968. It was discontinued in 1974.

Love your videos. Here’s a tip from a 18 year crime scene investigator. When you find a gun try to keep it in n the water that you find it in. As soon as the gun leaves the water it will begin to rust and the corrosion process will be enhanced. Keep up with the great videos. And be safe

I believe that pistol is a Astra Model 300 probably chambered in .380 or .32 cal or 9 mm..... manufactured in Spain around 1944-ish maybe.... for Germany during WW2. I'm not 100 percent positive, but that's what it looks like to me.
