Kenny Dalglish's journey began in the east end of Glasgow, where he was born into an engineer's family on March 4, 1951. He grew up in Milton, a neighborhood in the north of the city, and then moved to a high-rise near the Rangers stadium in Ibrox when he was 14. Rangers was the team he supported as a kid, and he had no clue that one day in future he would have to play against it.
As a youngster, Kenny started his schooling at Miltonbank Primary School and initially played as a goalkeeper. He later attended High Possil Senior Secondary School, where his talent in football really began to shine. Kenny was a standout in school football competitions, played for the Glasgow Schoolboys team, and even helped them win the Scottish Cup. He was also part of the Scottish schoolboys' team that dominated a major tournament. - Sport
