I have to admit, I'm loving this team, they all want to have fun but also have a goal they each want to achieve, so great to have another series
I’m surprised how well they gell together.
Jack and Ryan are the ones who know everything necessary.
Gavin and Trevor do whatever dumb funny shit they can.
Jeremy is a mix of the two groups.
This is a really interesting Achievement Hunter group.
Definitely looking forward to seeing more of them.

There's just something so surreal about not only hearing Lewis' voice suddenly in an AH video, but also Gavin just saying Yogscast and Lewis like it was nothing.
They exist in the same universe, yet my mind still gets confused by it.

36:36 Achievement Hunter x Yogscast crossover episode.
They did do a Terraria one years ago and their group dynamic contrasted quite a bit; it was pretty great though. I'd be very happy with another one as an old Yogscast fan.

So I tried googling it and apparently to mine Cobalt you need either Ardite (found in the upper layers of the Nether), Alumite (an alloy of Aluminum, Iron and Obsidian), or Steel.

I'm assuming that's just normal pickaxes. With Tinker's pickaxes a number of things work too, including an obsidian pickaxe head.
Cobalt is only a thing in Tinker's, as far as I know.
@@NightmareSyndrom Actually yeah, I think you're right, metals like cobalt, ardite, and pigiron are just Tinker's and don't have normal tools. Either way cobalt and ardite are the same mining level and are both in the nether. Easiest ways as we've pointed out now would be steel or obsidian.
iirc the lowest tier materials that can mine colbalt/ardite are Alumite and Steel, Cobalt/Ardite can obviously mine themselves, but thats not helpful intil they can get it in the first place, same for Manyulyn, which needs Cobalt/Ardite to mine.
The best way to mine Cobalt is to make an obsidian sharpening kit and put it on any Tinkers pickaxe (with a piece of flint at a tool station). That way you can make the pick out of whatever material you want, and it will still be at Cobalt mining level. An obsidian pick head will also work, but iirc, it won't have great stats.

If i remember right with tinkers, diamonds provide an upgrade to tools, and i think one of the upgrades increases mining to diamond level if it starts below

25:41 - "Diamond doesn't work in Tinkers"
That's 'cause Diamond is a tool modifier in Tinkers, not a material. You can add a diamond to any tool, and it'll up the durability by 500 points AND will allow a mining tool to dig up Obsidian.
Jack diamonds are a modifier that you put on tools in one of the tables also you can make tools out of obsidian.
Tips on Sky Factory 4 for anyone who wants to play and on the le el the guys are now:
Resource hogs need to be on top of a block that can spawn their truffles. Coal, steel and similar need stone underneath. Others need normal dirt and such. Then you have to mine the truffles so that the pigs can spawn more. Easiest way to do is with a block breaker and and a vacuun hopper, or using Cyclic machines which are not that hard to set up but kinda confusing on how they work (they are OP and broken af tbh).
Cakes can take you everywhere, into any dimension. Just look how to make them. Really easy. The Twilight Forest warp wasn't needed. They just had to make a cake, but sure, it IS how they wanna play and what do they know.
Make a cow in a jar, or a couple, for infinite milk. Put an empty jar, a cow on top, an empty space on top of the cow and anvil on top of that space, so that when it falls down, it puts the cow in the jar and will start to make milk. You can then place it on top of any acceptable cooking 4 Blockheads multiblock blocks to cook whatever you want.
Make a Culinary Construct table. My God this is the BEST thing ever.... You can craft sandwiches like Tinkers Construct. You only need bread (or a similar kind of bread, like cookie or doughnut buns) and then start adding food to it. CRAZY shit can be crafted and eaten. I have a stack of sandwiches which give full saturation, full hunger and I put mystical apples inside, why? Because if there is any food that gives a buff, it will pass on into the sandwich. So yeah, kinda invincible there, but that is the idea of Sky Factory. You can the those items of you want or just try to make many food types into the sandwich, or it won't work out because it need different types to become a fulfilling sandwich. Carrots, baked potatoes, apples, bacon, and the like all work. Bacon trees and doughnut trees are REALLY helpful.
Last thing, for the time being, put the bonsai hoppers on top of 4x4 drawers. That way, you can have 512 items in each slot. So if a tree gives 4 items (sticks, leaves, wood, resin) as an example, each will fill all the spaces. But all trees give more than 4 items, so many will simply delete them. So, instead of getting sticks, use the items from the tree and put each of the most needed inside the drawer. I go for resin, leaves, fruit if it drops and anything else. The rest I don't need it. You can also upgrade your drawers to accept more items in each space. Just use Iron or gold upgrades for now. It can take 6 upgrades each. Yeah, pretty broken.

Edit: Of course there isn't storage drawers, but there are File Cabinets. These work as a single clickable block which opens up and you can insert up to 8 folders. Each folder cand hold up to almost infinity of a single item.
You can add to it or extract from it like you do with JABBA or Storage Drawers.

They'd probably have it figured out by next episode but if they don't, alumite made from aluminum, iron, and obsidian mines cobalt and ardite from the Nether. I also recommend making cobalt pickaxe heads for your tinker's tools as cobalt has the fastest mining speed.
Jeremy seriously can't be tamed this part. I love it but someone's gotta give him something to do until he can get blood magic!
You can tip a tinkers tool in diamond to make it better, with tinkers' it's all about upgrading tools, so a stone pickaxe can be made just as good as a diamond and only need stone to repair

Jack, Obsidian pick axe will mine Cobalt and Ardite, just toss Obsidian blocks into the smelter, also you can make a tool forge that lets you make better tools and weapons (Laser Gun = OP)

Pro Tip: You can craft an item using your grave key and an ender pearl to be able to teleport right to your grave no matter which dimension you're in.

I just realized from when Ryan was testing this version of SkyFactory out, they might want to build the fences around the pigs a little higher so when they start making truffles, they won't climb on them and get out over the fence and fall out of the world.
Obsidian Pickaxe can mine cobalt and ardite, just put obsidian in the smeltery
