Sooooo basically those two brackets are all that's needed to go from drum to disc? I've got a 99 Civic EX and want disc brakes in the back,, I was preparing to build a whole new rear end just to accommodate that want for my car. $160 will take me from drum to disc?? And I'm strictly referring about the conversion not the rotors pads lines and all that other mess. Great video man and I'm super pumped I can go this route instead of whole new other trailing arms from one car and putting those into my car to make this conversation work.
I didn't even know they came out with the rear brake conversion brackets, that makes the conversion much simpler-ish. Let's get you popular!
discs add alot of visual appeal also +1
Were did you get the brackets
Does this kit change the rear wheel offset like a spacer would? I feel like the hub would sit in further without the adapter plate.
Hey man great video, just one question, did you upgrade the prop valve for this? if so what should you replace it with? I'm very much interested in doing the same conversion, I've heard people say that you would need to change the prop valve as well. Please share your thoughts on this. Cheers.
Where did you buy that convention??
Great Vid mang! Was about to buy and change the whole rear of my civic. Thankfull I found this vid first.. Question: will the e brake cables, 40/40 prop valve, and bracket you linked or mentioned fit on my 95 civic or do I have to order them for my year specs?
Will sorok also with ABS?
Where did you buy the bracket you used..
Well Tommy this actually WAS helpful! I first assumed you had to buy the entire trailing arms of a model with discs, but happily there do seem to be brackets out there and you can even re-use the hub!
Oh my God thank you for having a video that explains to my incompetence on how to do something. You earned a sub
In the ph you could get a whole trailing arm for around 150usd however. I like the idea of sourcing out parts specifically for what you want and need. Great job ☝🏼
I feel you man 🤣 i did my conversion on the ground like you too and that e brake cable was hard, i was so tired after one side too. After i completed the conversion i was so exhausted but it was worth it.
Great video. Seriously. You explained everything very well. Ps. I use zip ties a lot to tuck and secure hoses and wiring.
Hi, i have a 94 corolla can you tell me how to do the convertion rear disc brakes.
What about changing the proportioning valve after covering drum brake to disk brake conversion, isn't that needed after the swap?
Hi, How about Scion XA can Rear Disc conversion too?
Thinking of setting up a hydro brake to the rear and only having the break pedal to the front is that risky?
this is a great video man. thanks for posting the links to the parts. keep up the great work man 👍
