- Apex Legends has been suffering from a cheating problem. It feels like it has gotten worse for not only Apex, but other games as well. Even games we thought were safe such as League Of Legends has stated losing the battle against cheaters.

yes but thats like bad weather in football - its always gonna happen and we cant change anything. aim assist, server and audio issues are bothering me more tbh...
All the devs had to do was implement proper matchmaking. I cheat because those subhuman developers implemented EOMM instead of SBMM.

More cheaters than non cheaters ie macros, aim snap etc
Yea for having spent over 5000hrs playing the game 2000hrs spectate watching and over 1800$ spent in the last 2 years but i officially deleted the game because its run rampent with cheaters. R I.P apex
I mean you're even beyond me with some of that, but I was a day one came back to solos now and it's insane on console. It's so obvious, that's why I looked into it and here we are. I'm done now too....
It's so easy to get cheats nowadays. Just install any Linux os, compile cheats and run Apex with proton. Not only theres cheats for apex being sold out super cheap, there's even free ones with source code being released to public. So ridiculous

Tbh it's hard to believe that some devs aren't selling things to cheat developers. There has to be some explanation for how fast the cheat devs are able to adjust to changes in the anti cheat and how fast they get the cheats out for these games. Modern Warfare 3 had cheats day 1 but no one trust the cod devs anymore cuz they support a ton of cheating streamers. So far it seems like respawn isnt doing the same thing but u never know since they play a lot of ALGS online if some of the people in that are cheating cuz this weekend i watched a team called Cold in Hell that seemed really sus but its impossible to tell on ALGS broadcast but i have seen at least one sus thing happen in every online ALGS i have watched, especially people shooting others though smoke they cant see through.
so, I'm on xbox, if you look at the "looking for" posts on apex there is players that blatantly post for 6man and 9man teams for ranked in diamond and up. what makes me sad is the gameplay of apex is like no other but for me as a gold player I can't play pubs because I get rolled by preds or masters stacking while my teammates are lower levels than me. can't play ranked and actually rank up because the matchmaking is so shit that the teams are so unbalanced it hurts. the matchmaking needs to be fixed with the cheating

The assumption that it’s the younger age group is very false, you guys had it right it’s ego and rage hacking, it’s a lot of people 20 to 40 rage hacking hard because it’s so accessible
Amount of soft cheaters and horrible eomm made me play this game only when I accompany my gf. I stopped playing daily as soon as I hit 110 on battlepass. Netcode being horrible and servers running on 20Hz isnt helping either
Yes, I quit the first time it started getting really bad over a year ago, and my mental health LITERALLY improved once I did. RIP pvp gaming, it’s been fun…
Edit: the only reason I found this video is because I was considering coming back to apex. I quickly learned with a little research that it’s actually gotten worse than it was when I quit.
bots got aim-bot too now, you shoot them once and they beam you
The developers should put all cheats as an in game toggle enabled setting. Then put the players who choose to enable these in a seperate lobby (lets call it potatoe lobby). Then use ai to learn the play pattern from all such players. Then use the ai to detectect any players having extremely similar play pattern in fair lobbies. Then tag their account so that the only lobby they can join is the potatoe lobby.

You know, I thought about it just now. I got into a game with Messiah and Rogue a while back and rogue was playing like a real player he wasn't perfect he got some kills, but when I was watching Messiah oh boy. I really just watched him to see what it was he was doing to get so many kills and now looking back I'm 100% convinced he had walls. I'm talking running around the map like a headless chicken shooting at people 400-500 meters away with a r301 and no line of sight. Full sending buildings just to 1v3 whilst barely taking damage and no real reason to assume people were in the building to begin with. I mean yeah he could have been that good, but we were in a masters lobby and he still dropped 23 kills with me and rogue on his team getting 10+ as well. I also know his name was associated with cheater discords so if you wanna know why I quit its because of BS like this.
Yes, there are def cheaters in this game. In ranked, I’m bronze II and a decent player. Been playing since S5. Was playing ranked the other day and we got team wiped by 1 player. Yeah ppl say get good, but how can u against cheaters? My point is, I’ve been facing high ranking players in Bronze. Shouldn’t those sweats be a way higher rank thank me? I mean the way that team was playing, they should be at least Diamond imo.
Bad matchmaking, cheaters, devs that care more about overpriced skins than they do the health of the game, bad maps, bad map rotations etc.. The list goes on.
this is only gonna get worse, dont expect any game to survive cheat infestations, online gaming peak has passed
On console I’m running into teaming players. 6 man teams, 9 man teams, 12… and it’s like every other game. Trying to grind ranked is so hard when I take 1 step forward and then two steps back because I’m getting wiped by the 9 man just running through the lobby.
It's bad not going to lie. It's honestly made me step back from playing the game currently. I get a couple good games throughout the week. It's honestly sad people cheat. Like I really don't get it but finding out it costs 500$ to cheat really has me losing my marbles. Especially in the higher lobbies there is a lot of cheaters and people I think are cheating. I give hideout a hard time but it's frustrating when I get obliterated every time I go to play the game only to log right back off. It's especially bad as of lately. Me and a friend who play apex on a higher level legit watched every person that killed us last weekend and not even kidding 7/10 games we were killed by cheaters either walling or using some form of cheats. It's ruining games. Pushing alot of people out of games and this people don't want to spend money on a game where all they have to do is buy a skin and die. People will stop quick. Day 1 player, this is so bad at this moment I deleted the game, it's unplayable, I'm sick of cheaters.
The whole gameplay on the background of this video looks cheating for me, I can't believe those are the real actions made by the guy. In my mind it just "He went to push players without even his shield because he knows he will kill the enemy player whatsoever"
Not even joking every single enemy I go against lately knows exactly where I am when to shoot never misses is most likely hitting broken movement it’s not fun anymore I can’t sit here and believe I’m just dying to “better players I’ve been playing since season 1 and I’ve noticed how much I die to cheaters who are soft aiming walling or tap strafing neo strafing all the bs you would expect a triple stacking pred team to be doing

I ran into cheaters 4 outta 5 games trios im done playing this game until they do something I have been playing for 5 years now and its never been this bad
I know devs is interested in fighting against cheaters. But are they interested that much? Valorant devs offering up to 100 000 dollars to the people who find a vulnerabilities in the game. I can't believe Apex devs who charge people for hundreds dollars for heirlooms, can't afford the same. So I can understand people who attack Apex devs for a not very good work against cheaters. People don't trust them for a reason. After all, they are removing tap strafe on the gravity cannons and don't remove aim assist. They shadow nerfing stuff hoping we don't notice and adding a Revenant with 300 hp so it's impossible to kill him. Feels like they don't care about the game as much as they could. Of course, there were a few really good changes, but it getting overshhadowed with all bad things in apex
There is also individual shadow nerfing. I broke the games logic with Rampart back in season 11. I'm on console, yet got the infamous code:snake. The game hasn't been the same for me since. Rampart mechanics no longer work for me, like pocketing walls for replenish, and not allowed to put Sheila away. Much more, blanks, dying from 100 dmg done to me while I have a shield and full health. Yet, actual cheaters just play with no problems.
Just lost a 3 game win streak to salty teammates. going for the 5 win badge. As a solo this is hopeless. And with how many cheaters also. Lol.
what they need to do is invest in an ai server that insta bans cheaters immediately surely they can determine human vs bot
No cheat is a slight advantage. It's a huge advantage, because no skill can over come a wall hack or aimbot that is why you see Preds teaming on cheaters even though most of them are cheating themselves.

Cheaters every game. Not a whole lot can be done without using a bunch of resources from your pc. Imagine playing a game and something in the background is scanning your memory the entire time. Most people who play video games have low end pcs. also cheaters make up a good chunk of the player base so banning all cheaters would make apex look dead.
There is easy anti cheat they can make on the server side where the server calculates the improbable accuracy cheaters have at range and other types of instances where easy calculations could instantly identify a cheater and insta ban but that would cost money for EA.
I'm on ps, so i doubt, but my kdr has dropped significantly this season, to the point I just don't have the zeal to play.

Should not have bought the battlepass...can't even play mixtape (to do daily missions) without running into stinkies every game. I've been playing since first season but this might be it for me.
Corporations solely exist to make money, not spend it on silly things like anti-cheats. That's why there's a team reskinning weapons and not working on in-house anti-cheat.
I agree that, yes, having collection events while all of these problems are going on isn't a great look, and people are definitely less likely to spend money when they are unhappy with the game, but at the same time if they don't do the events how are they supposed to get the money they need to hire all the people you suggest they should hire to fix the problems? Especially considering a large portion of the player base has no interest in spending money regardless of the state of the game (a lot of people see the fact that they don't spend money on free to play games as a point of pride).
As for the anti-cheat itself: You compared it to Valorant several times. I've personally never played Valorant, so I can't speak to how well their AC works, but what I can speak to is that the reason I have never played Valorant is because of how massively invasive their AC it. It is basically a rootkit. It has full access to your computer at the root level, and unlike Easy Anti-Cheat (the AC used by Apex), which is also a root-level AC, Valorant's AC runs 24/7, even when you aren't running the game. Maybe that is why it is so much more effective, maybe not, but the point is, copying the way Valorant AC works is NOT the way to go and could actually drive a ton of players away from Apex.
i think a lot of companies will be forced to move towards more invasive anticheats in the coming years because there's a growing gap in the game of cat-and-mouse that exists between cheaters and devs

The first hardware cheats did come out 6 years ago, so for us with 20 years in fps games cs go bf cod pubg kotk fortinate we all that would be the future but software manipulation and community that normalise cheating all over have put us in strange place. You can with exp easy spot a cheater they are most of the times really good and moving straffing inv mangement at first look for a normal guy no way you can se it but for me it´s np. I have the exp for it. But we can´t have live admins in games like this it´s imposible and the market is agenst it this people earn tons of money on it by selling subs. For monitor plug in it´s easy to se player behavior you´r not playing like god with 90%accuracy one day and close to 20% another day ore hours am talking about the sneaky ones now that put it on loop ore like in cs go toggle on and off sad is that a good player is hard to se if he´s cheating really. Apex is in a bad spot but i don´t aim for any thing i play from time to time and hope for the best i know it´s their but who cares not me i knew online competive not on lan is over 6 years ago and that´s a factor up to day.

Easy way to discourage cheaters put all cheat available out for one season watch all the cheaters leave after getting a taste of their medicine.
Usually I'm able to place diamond by myself this season I can't even break out past plat 3.

In general, it is not Respawn or Hideouts who want to keep the number of cheaters banned a secret. It is EAC that recommends to keep the playerbase ignorant about the state of the game. I agree that no one should know what type of cheat they are banning, and the details of it, but the number of cheaters banned should be public information. Sure, it may discourage some people from playing the game, but it might also encourage others to play, because they know that cheaters are actually getting banned.
Plus, EAC comes from a socialist country (Finland), and it is owned by Epic Games, which is 40% owned by Tencent. Tencent is in China, A.K.A. CCP i.e. the Chinese Communist Party. Enough said.
