Fawkes - yeah girl I struggledddddd the color magic was tough for me. I never understood it. But LOVED Wishtress!
I’m glad I’m not the only one! 😂 I like the idea and trying to figure out the historical part - but my brain is just like….wait, what?!!

I haven't tried Katherine Center, but Oceana is making me want to try her books. I think I would start with The Bodyguard as it just sounds so cute. I did not like Fawkes that much, Wishtress I enjoyed way better. When the Day Comes is one of my absolute favorite books/series.
I started with The Bodyguard and would recommend it! I’ve also read Happiness for Beginners and How to Walk Away. I really liked all of them!
I didnt care for the audiobook for Fawkes myself. The voice the narrator did for the White Light reminded me more of the devil tempting lol, but that could have just been me.
Yes, I really struggle with fantasy sometimes. I really like the idea, but it’s just been hard to get really invested.
