Search for a YT video by Flor M on how to set Volantex ESC brake. It worked for my Ranger 1600, really easy to do using the transmiter. When powering up the triple tone means 3s battery, followed by the double tone means no brake. After setting the brake the final tone should change to a single beep, meaning brake is on. Crazy why Volantex don't set the brake as default.
agreed, Volantex should install ESCs with Braking. because this is a Glider. I have no idea why they do not do it. they could even tell ESC manufacturer from whom they buy ESCs to make all Glider ESCs with Brakes on by Default.

I couldnt get esc break to work so I used a rubber band to snap the propeller back when I throttle down.
there is a way to setup ESC brakes. I will find out and let you know

Esc breaking is set by... remove prop put tx throttle to max and connect plane battery wait for 3 beeps .
Remove battery from plane and your done.
not the same with every ESC. every brand ESC is different and may have different ESC braking programming.

Wow that one does fly really nice. I wonder how many landings the underside of the wings can endure ? Perhaps a small wheel under each would aid in a balanced landing to avoid ground scraping. Loved how this one flew Ali, big thumbs up for your video, and your two little plane retrievers :) 👍👍👍
I will 3D print some supports for the wings with Wheels. Maybe give it enough ground clearance to taxi even with props spinning hahaha
Make a tray or crate with four wheels and you can start the Phoenix rolling from the ground. You have a nice flat runway, perfectly suited for that.

No. Still didn't. And I don't want to experiment. Lol. Because it may catch fire during flight

Phoenix ESC have been not the best for a long time , going back to when they were lanyu. :-)

how far back is the centre of gravity from the leading edge?
hold one finger each side of the wing .move forward or back slightly till the plane is balancing level
You know what would be cool? Go pretty high, then cut the throttle and dive down and pick up lots of speed and do a low pass with the motor off. Then see how long you can keep gliding before you need to turn the motor on again. THAT would be awesome. :)

The Phoenix 2400 is a lovely flyer,for those who do flat field soaring it cannot be beaten for precise performance,if only they would upgrade the ESC's a common problem at the moment with ARTF's also the undercarriage issue why put a wheel on just for landing it does not make sense,I agree Ali the take off is all part of the fun.
As for line of sight flying it is still the best in my opinion having flown that way for years FPV is of no interest to me but each to their own,nicely flown Ali that landing was super.
Ali your channel deserves more views after all you pioneered model flight testing here on CZcams.

the elevator its detachable?
Yes and no. You can detach it, it's secured by screws. But it's a lot of work. Okay for long term storage, but not feasible for getting the plane to and from the field.
It looks a lot like the FMS Sailplane. How are the kids now?
Kids Alhamdolillah Recovered the tough time. still have cough but at least they are in good mood and playing around. We have been to Daman-Koh and Ayub park (which is close by, so almost daily there LOL) Thanks brother :)

those wings are nice and straight, unlike my easyglider that is curved a bit like its in a tight turn.

The glider looks nice. Is it holding up after a few flights, or cheap quality that easily breaks? What about the ESC - is it some random fireworks appliance rather than ESC?

well I am 5 feet 3 inches :) not very tall really.
after few flights this one still alive and kicking. ESC seems to be better than before. no more fireworks as Lanyu / volantex traditions LOL hahahah.
We left Dubai because it was milking us dry like a greedy farmer and sucking our blood too. That means, too costly, too many pointless expenses, pay pay pay pay pay bills bills bills expenses expenses. I mean it felt like you even have to pay to breath in Dubai.
we could not afford it so we came back to our home sweet home in China. we are not in Shenzhen. we are in Zhuzhou Hunan which is central part of China. much cleaner in terms of those smog and pollution compared to those big cities.

Thanks for the info on the glider, I'll check it out. recently started FPVing planes again. super fun to soar around longer than just 5mins with a regular drone. also installed the runcam split on the rudder which is an awesome view from back there! and a little video splitter to switch to a 2nd runcam eagle on the wing.
OK, so Dubai sounds really expensive. Seems this kind of place is only for the guys with Petro dollars... If you're surrounded by so much money, everything get's more expensive...

Your city looks quite big to me :) Whats weird is: that all those skyscrapers seem to be at the same height. All seems so regulated. in western cities every large building is built by another architect I guess, tries to be different...

yes FPV on gliders is super fun. as we are getting older, we like to just sit relax and soar to enjoy FPV. I however still am flying 2S and 3S FPV Whoops and still love flying fast and furious.

why you dont miss flying FPV planes? I started watching your channel exactly bcs. of that... you havent dont that for many many years.... drones (except racing) and line of sight is so boring...
I did some flights this year. you can see my new flight, 6km FPV 12km out back to see Two high speed trains. Then came busy time and winter, raining raining raining. now summer is coming, I have my mini Talon LR FPV Plane waiting and the new ZOHD Dart XL that I just prepared (You will watch maiden FPV Flight testing video soon)
I will bring both out to do some good FPV Plane FPV Videos :) so stay tuned for that bud :)

I stopped watching when I realized it wasn't a glider at all, but a power plane instead. I really wish power pilots wouldn't hijack a name that only legitimately belongs to another flying category.
at a good gliding slope and with good winds this will soar like glider. power is just needed to take off or when moving from thermal to thermal.
But it glides...
