    Amazing Grace, guitar and vocal, one of the most beautiful pieces of music I’ve ever witnessed.

    I've seen Doyle several times at Union Music in Worcester, Mass - once with Haley. She is like the sweetest kid. Doyle and co. really are the real deal. They are everything that Christians claim to be yet only an infinitesimal percentage actually are. Seeing him is the closest I've ever come to being a believer. It's the rest of them - the ones that support the devil in Washington - that turns me away. God bless the Dykes! Long life to them and their music.

    Doyle Dykes really are one of the greatest fingerpickers out there. His tone his speed all seems so effortless.
    And the musical skill obviously runs in the family. His daughter got a beautyful voice

    Great video! I was about 13 here and in the audience. It's one of the most memorable nights I have. Doyle is full of charisma and a great guy!

    "Fit audience find, though few." One of my favorite quotes. The 'best' players are often less than famously popular. I say 'best' because it's such a subjective term that's used with indiscriminate abandon, especially in arenas like CZcams, yet the scant handful of people at that clinic and in this comment section recognize and appreciate the genuine examples of it when they witness them. Fantastic player with gifted children. I 'know' good music, but I had never heard of Doyle until last year.

    My life-long guitar hero (Doyle's too) Chet Atkins was asked, in a late-in-life interview, "is there any musician you would pay to go and see?" Chet singled out the one guitarist who was asked to play at Chet's memorial service at the Ryman Auditorium: "Oh Doyle Dykes" said Chet -- someone like that." The comments here are so wonderful. I find myself agreeing with every one. Heck it's a treat to listen to Doyle 'tuning up' (as here, around 8:38). Not every musician has perfect pitch (Canada's greatest contribution to jazz, Oscar Peterson did). His crescendo around 14:40 on the Our Father is so reverent and heart-felt it moves me to tears. Of joy, of course. Thanks Doyle. -- Mark B of the frozen North

      I agree with Chet Atkins. Chet is my favorite and Doyle is very close to that and even smoother than the great Tommy Emmanuel, cgp in my humble opinion.

    We have had the privilege of knowing Doyle for a few years and having him and his girls in our home on many occassions, we know them to be the real deal in private as well as public. We don't know of any finer people alive. May God continue to lead and guide them.

    I lost my DDSM because of illness and the money issues that those issues create, the last time that I saw it Doyle played it as part of a sale. Bittersweet, to say the least. It was a superb instrument that sounded wonderful even in my hands, I took up the guitar too late. He now has a Guild Signature Model that is lovely as well.

    I've seen him eight times, and was amazed every time. He plays very complex pieces as if he is eating a sandwich. Make sure that you see him live, you will not forget the experience. His family is wonderful as well.

      "If Ever I Loved Thee" ======================= 1. My Jesus, I love Thee, I know Thou art mine,
      For Thee all the follies of sin I resign;
      My gracious Redeemer, my Saviour art Thou,
      If ever I loved Thee, my Jesus, 'tis now.
      2. I love Thee because Thou hast first loved me,
      And purchased my pardon on Calvary's tree;
      I love Thee for wearing the thorns on Thy brow,
      If ever I loved Thee, my Jesus, 'tis now.
      3. I'll love Thee in life, I will love Thee in death,
      And praise Thee as long as Thou lendest me breath;
      And say, when the death-dew lies cold on my brow:
      If ever I loved Thee, my Jesus, 'tis now.
      4. In mansions of Glory and endless delight,
      I'll ever adore Thee in heaven so bright;
      I'll sing with the glittering crown on my brow:
      If ever I loved Thee, my Jesus, 'tis now.
