The best part of this bit is that Karl has already gone so deep into this hypothetical that he's created a history where his employees have already used up their one chance to skip a day of work.
KP for PM. He puts everything in the simplest terms possible, he doesn't give a toss if you can't pull your own weight, and he's too simple to be corrupt (Just keep radio/TV shows and maganizes away from him). He's got my vote.
Rant: If you're ever young and in a position of authority, the senior staff will fucking see how far they can go. I know they did it with me, and anyone who took my position after I was promoted. I legally fired them, fuck the unions, costs, and consequences. Afterwards, you tell your team that you only care about results. If they do their contractually mandated work, you don't care if they leave early, come in late, don't come at all, or are on drugs, you'll back them up. If they don't, no second chances. The higher ups are happy, because they want results, and your crew quickly grows attached to your "hands off" kind of leadership. Add turning a blind eye to some overtime forms from the most efficient employees, and it's smooth sailing.
Does anyone know when this stops being funny? I've watched it maybe 60 times over the last few months, and it still makes me laugh out loud every single time! "FOOK OFF!"
I love how quickly Karl adapts to Ricky's hypothetical scenarios like they're real things. Also he was 100% in the right for firing Sheila. Bob...not so much.
It's really not that easy to fire people. Snow shouldn't stop people from getting into work but our country is just so ridiculously unprepared for this sort of weather. Recently in my area, gritters sometimes haven't even come out the night before its supposed to snow.
Sm0g - yep, when I have seen/heard that there is a chance of heavy snow I text my team and inform them that disciplinary steps will be taken against them and no excuses will be accepted for late/non arrival into work and on the odd occasion i get a call, I ignore it, check the caller id and simply text them to say 'assuming you are calling to inform you are en route so see you in...... minutes, ENSURE you are here!' Always works.
Ricky has actually said loads of times that Karl does have a lot of great insight, but the way he tries to articulate his thoughts makes him sound like an idiot.
I love the animation! Little things like Karl's eyebrows lowering over his eyes at specific times in relation to the other characters... BRILLIANTLY DONE, Soooo funny! The attention to detail that goes in to the animation is just incredible. That goes for the animated version of Ricky and Stephen as well =)
potaterjim Moral of the story? Wake up early, shovel, get a snowblower, or call a plow, make sure you have snow tires, and if you cannot do these things talk to Mr. Pilkington in advance for help such as vouchers or pool money with coworkers. There is a term I forget, oh yes “preparation” or understanding “preparedness.” Perhaps one coworker has a stronger vehicle like a truck. Arrange pooling and help with gas or “petrol.” Finally if none of these things really are helping document it with photos and film. See about working from home. Sheila was weak anyway, likely pulled this during s rainstorm too.
I love at 2:35 when Bob says "alright boy" and smiles like KP will understand and it's all good but Karl starts having a go. Idk why something about that little bit of animation makes me laugh
So appropriate with the weather at the moment!!! "So go round to Sheila's and like slag me off an that....but I tell ya what...your not coming back ere...fuck off!" 😂😂😂
this is the first one of these Ive seen, and its brilliant. I do love to see Ricky Gervais' face when he laughs, but the cartoon Ricky is almost as good.
I'd find this hilarious if it weren't for the fact I work for a company that would act just like Karl. It's a massive retail company with outlets everywhere and if I can't make it by transport to my usual location I have to walk to my nearest one by foot, even if the snow is 20 feet deep outside. xD
"No, because they've done it before." In a completely hypothetical scenario.
🤣
And this is where his genius comes out !
“Just annoys me”
"You're in big trouble, fuck off"!
Like that monkey news where the monkey had the chat show and suddenly Cher was on.
"Go round to Sheila's and slag me off if you want, but you're not coming back here - fuck off." HAHA!
One chance.
The best part of this bit is that Karl has already gone so deep into this hypothetical that he's created a history where his employees have already used up their one chance to skip a day of work.
& he's already thought about the fact he gives himself a bit more time to put the heating on in the car
“Gone so deep”
And that they slag him off behind his back
I love that when Ricky and Karl do a bit, Karl is always so in to it.
Skibi so’s ricky
By the second ring he has already named his business “KP Plumbing”
It’s true, it’s like a switch gets turned on, his imagination takes over.
He’s like Michael from The US Office when he makes the million dollar sale.
Steve appreciates ityou can hear him laugh quietly at the “kp plumbing”
'You're not coming back here again, fuck off!' Cracks me up everytime
i no its so good
"She's weak anyway." xD
farfangled that discribes people who want safe spaces expel them
Karl is a beast! A reasonable and fair beast. No transports? Is that slang for a taxi? A bus?
just any public transport
KP for PM. He puts everything in the simplest terms possible, he doesn't give a toss if you can't pull your own weight, and he's too simple to be corrupt (Just keep radio/TV shows and maganizes away from him). He's got my vote.
I love how he said that as well as plenty of other Darwinist opinions but he struggled to last one night on a desert island in IA2
"Go round to Sheila's n slag me of..." ahahaha superb man
"you're not coming back here, FUCK OFF"
Funniest thing I've heard in ages
"I'm not gonna make it in today son so um I'll see you tomorrow alright boy?" lol
That part was hilarious😂 Bob is a cheeky chappy😂😂
Might try that next time I call in sick.
Read it exactly as they said it

@@zabaoth Lol WTF job is this? Sign me up? Bet pay if like 4.50 an hour though
"No 'cos they've done it before.."
How he folds his arms and pulls a smug expression. Brilliant xD
You it’s an animation right?
@@Eddie4518 What difference does that make?
Watched this like 6 times in the past 3 days. Pure comedy genius.
Same for me, lol. One of their best scenarios.
Does anyone know when this stops being funny? I've watched it maybe 60 times over the last few months, and it still makes me laugh out loud every single time! "FOOK OFF!"
John Smith It can stop being funny?
I’m exact same. Just had it on again. Id love to work for KP plumbing 😂
It will ALWAYS be funny! Watched 3 times in a few hours...🤣 and a hundred before that..
It is constantly funny, I ever need to have a laugh I know this will deliver every single time
You're not coming back here, FUCK OFF! 😭😭😭😭
I love how Bob chuckles just after delivering the bad news that he's not gonna make it in today son, sooo I'll see ya tomorrow alright boy
WOOOPdoctorFROGhere he’s not chuckling, he’s having a sniff
WOOOPdoctorFROGhere He’s done it before.
Bob should be sacked right off, the way he calls his boss son, and boy,,,,,one chance !!!!!!
*Sniff*
I love how quickly Karl adapts to Ricky's hypothetical scenarios like they're real things. Also he was 100% in the right for firing Sheila. Bob...not so much.
ProughZack but he'd done it before!

What a lovely employer you must be to work for Nick Magee!
Kyle1818 i'm not an employer, just mid way up the food chain, if the will is there, you can always get in. I did last week.
I so want to sign off a sick call to work with 'Am not gonna make it in today son, so umm... I'll see ya tomorrow, alright boy?!'
MegaDonGallo don't forget the sniff!
Omfg i shit my pants when he said that
Still come back to this sketch when I need a laugh. Genius!
same
"She was weak anyway." Karl is the sweetest facist you could ever find.
Listen to Karl during his xfm days, before he was famous and was very much himself. He isn't pretending, this is him.
Best role player ever. Ricky is having a laugh but Karl is genuinely mad.
"One chance."
"Well you didn't even give them one chance."
"No, cause they've done it before!"
lmao
Love that whenever he gives an example job in whatever situation, it's always a plumbing company.
I love knowing he is slowly working himself up to a rage. Rick defo knows how to get the best out of him!
I’ll see ya tmoro. Alright boy? 😂
I love how Karl gets so into these Improv sessions. And a U-Bend factory is so true to form.
You know your British when a phone call ends with
*FUCK OFF* xD 2:55
LOL or Canadian.
You know you're not British when your grammar is AIDS.
What's grammer
Steve laughing in the background hahaha
You can tell when Ricky knows that he's losing an argument when he begins to escalate things.
Ricky G. portrays him in such a shitty way! He's fucking genius! More common sense than most of us!
ricky has told karl many times how much he loves him. That's how bromances work :)
A fucking genius? Man doesn't even know that cavemen didn't live with dinosaurs.
No one really does either lol
Ricky has actually said loads of times that Karl does have a lot of great insight, but the way he tries to articulate his thoughts makes him sound like an idiot.
I love when Karl and Ricky role play.Never knew Karl was a method actor. So serious about it.And so funny.
Sheila’s rant never fails to make me smile. This is one of the best animations of the show. You’re in fucking trouble!
I love the animation! Little things like Karl's eyebrows lowering over his eyes at specific times in relation to the other characters... BRILLIANTLY DONE, Soooo funny! The attention to detail that goes in to the animation is just incredible. That goes for the animated version of Ricky and Stephen as well =)
He came up with KP Plumbing on the fly like a genius
To be fair, I can imagine Karl already daydreaming about owning his own U-Bend company at some point.
#AlrightBOY
I don’t know what Sheila was hoping to accomplish by swearing at her boss 🤣
"You're in fucking trouble then!"
I lost it :'-D
No... because they've done it before.
I love how u can just hear Steve merchant giggling in the back ground!! Hilarious #kpplummin
I think this is my all time favourite sequence from the Ricky Gervais show. I come back to it at least once a month to cheer myself up.
Awesome. I used to work at Xfm and I'm privileged to say Karl was my boss for 7 of those wonderful years. Fortunately it doesn't snow much in London.
"Just annoys me..." :D
the moral of the story is don't work for Karl
potaterjim Moral of the story? Deffo my favourite episode it never ever gets old
What episode was this?
I love how legitimate karl sounds as a boss... really good role play.
The best 3 minutes in British comedy, and it’s all improvised, absolutely unbelievable 😂😂
Ring ring! KP plumbing?
2:48 I felt so bad for the employee hahahahahaha the animation team did such a great job
2:53 the best part out of all 3 seasons of TRGS. Gets me every time..
Their instant commitment to hypothetical scenarios is commendable.
Ricky:Didnt even give them one chance
Karl:cos theyve done it before
Wtf how does a person come up with this on the spot 😂
alrightboi
Ricky shared this on facebook. This is my favorite clip as well. Brilliant.
The little giggles you can hear in the background from Steve add to this absolute masterpiece
One of my favorite Karl moments... Thanks for posting!
its funny how ricky's voice matches both the woman and the man
I love at 2:35 when Bob says "alright boy" and smiles like KP will understand and it's all good but Karl starts having a go. Idk why something about that little bit of animation makes me laugh
So brilliant, you couldn’t even write anything as perfect as this.
0:15 I’m not gonna big myself up. Humble genius.
I love how much he gets into it; the role playing bits are always the best :D
"No, cause they've done it before" oh god, I'm dieing :')
I love how Karl gets so into the scenario and gets angry. 😂 The best part is when he tells Bob to "F**k off" 😂 😂 😂
So appropriate with the weather at the moment!!! "So go round to Sheila's and like slag me off an that....but I tell ya what...your not coming back ere...fuck off!" 😂😂😂
I think I’ve watched this at least once a day for a week now.
This is my favourite bit of the podcasts! I've seen it too many times
This is one of my favourites
"she's done with, she's weak anyway." LOL
I love how they live these scenes!
I can't stop watching these vids...
“You’re in fucking trouble!”
Classic! Especially on a snow day!
"I'm not gonna make it in today son, so ummm I'll see you tomorrow alright boy" *sniff*
this is the first one of these Ive seen, and its brilliant. I do love to see Ricky Gervais' face when he laughs, but the cartoon Ricky is almost as good.
this is easily my favourite clip
im in tears hahaha i had to pause to give myself a chance hahaha
One of my favourite clips from their shows. Superb! "fuccckk off!" haha.
your answer is the most informative one, thanks! now i know.
I love how he invents a previous conversation to enable this little roleplay to be the second one!
One chance!
"Fuck off!"
"You're in fucking trouble!"
I'd find this hilarious if it weren't for the fact I work for a company that would act just like Karl. It's a massive retail company with outlets everywhere and if I can't make it by transport to my usual location I have to walk to my nearest one by foot, even if the snow is 20 feet deep outside. xD
This is my favourite one
definitely my favorite bit
i love their role plays
He gets so annoyed at a complete fiction 😂
I love how easily KArl gets into these imaginary scenarios
I love KP's commitment to the hypothetical situation,"Alright Bob"
"I'm not gonna make it in today, son... so I'll see you tomorrow, alright boy?" *sniff*
you can hear stephen giggling the entire time when the improv starts
i love this one
Love the change of tone at 2.36
LOOL this is Ricky and Karls favourite clip he put it on twitter.

I must have listened to this bit a dozen times and it's still amazing no matter how many times I hear him say "Fuck off" XD
This. Is. Amazing.
"i'm not coming in today, son, so i'll see you tomorrow roight boy" lmao
The BEST part of these is listening to Ricky laugh. I could listen to a track of just him laughing. Is that weird?
I want this whole clip as a ring tone or something XD
That was the best argument i have ever seen
