I’ve been thinking a lot about the visual impact, as an illustrator myself. It’s super important to have a striking “brand” and it even has a trace down to the name of the band. The name Gatecreeper is super memorable being a catchy play on words.
I guess I'm the exception. I don't like Slayer that much but I like Gatecreeper... I can't believe I am getting into death metal a little bit after all this time. Thank you Gatecreeper!

@Anal Eyes Analyze Anal Lies Because they're a relatively new band with only two full length albums and they have a modern sound. Examples of dad metal: Ratt, Queensryche, Judas Priest, etc.

Gatecreeper are excellent! These guys write songs that are true death metal, but catchy and memorable

Fun fact, the devil wears prada probably the only metalcore band that have album's artworks painted by Dan Seagrave.
