Bravo. On my moped 95% of the time I have to start it with the choke on; warmer days I leave the choke on for a few seconds, colder days one minute.

Tomos America A kitted A55 Tomos. Well there is the reason. Because it's kitted, it's harder to start. When it was stock, it was a little easier to start.

This was helpful. My ‘09 manual says the choke will deactivate by twisting the throttle, but it never has. I thought maybe it was adjusted incorrectly, but I think the manual was just written for a different carb than mine came with.

I think this is what i have not been trying on my puch maxi luxe. I was confused by the black handle shown on the handle bar. That’s not the clutch on that bike. Mine has a handle there for the clutch

When it’s warmed up, choke is no longer needed. Some carburetors have the lever up or down for choke on/off. So you need to know how your bike is set up
