Freddie you make some of if not the best motovlogs. Absolutely brilliant also Monika if you see this your editing is always fantastic as well. Genuinely appreciate the work and effort you two absolute legends put in 💛🤌
Not sure how I feel about the modern version of the Biker Lifestyle. The Frappuccinos, the avocado toast, the £50 tee-shirts, the beard grooming products. It's a far cry from the fry-ups and mugs of tea of my youth...
My ex Father In Law would tell me stories of biker rallies where they’d use a bin lid and some motor oil to cook breakfast. No avocado toast in sight.
The Bike Shed is nice but I preferred the Ace Cafe. It’s basic but it’s got a great history.
It is, but things have moved on, we've all become more cosmopolitan - remember when the only curry you could get was made by Vesta - and we want more choice.
And you can still have a mug of tea and a fried breakfast at the Shed.
I don't think it's a question of cosmopolitanism, it's more related to the demographics. Bikers in the 60s and 70s were mostly young and working class. Today's bikers are middle class and middle aged, relatively affluent, and are steeped in a culture of fashion and consumerism.@@AlexOnABoat
Spot on they have the wrong plot
Mugs of tea English breakfast lots of toast under 7 pound so many better places for real bikers
Eh up Freddie, blimey the Street Scrambler! Remember when you did some clearance work for the Forestry Commission! Happy Days!! Magic Videos! Cheers Graham.
Freddie, I've started watching your videos since last week and all I can say now is how relaxing and enjoyable your videos are - I click the LIKE button without even watching them. Keep up the good work, Sir! Lots of love from Baku, Azerbaijan🇦🇿♥️
That bike shed place looks like my kind of place. Looks awesome 😎
As a Bike Shed member always glad to see you visit the London one. Youll need to visit the new Deus Lodge soon
Definitely- I cannot wait to visit Deus! I can’t believe there’s finally one in the UK!🙌🏻
Went to the bike shed for the first time in aug, enjoyed it and prices aren't too bad it's just a shame it's in a big s#@t hole called London.
A great city . You live where?
@@specialized500 a small village in Derbyshire
I have to agree, I was there in January, a guy came off his bicycle in front of us and no one did a thing to help him. They actually drove around him. We helped him up and made sure he was ok. Stuff living somewhere like that.
I like the recent parting of the waves I’ve noticed where we have an accident up ahead so that the emergency services can get there and obviously helps bikes filter to the front too. Was in one recently and a truck driver biker said it’s been commonplace in Europe for ages. Good video as usual but all the life style stuff isn’t my bag. Keep up the good work 👍🏻
That kind of behaviour is only a dream in Australia. If that happened here, cars would be lane-splitting up the middle.
Nice video Freddie. Thank you for showing London's bike culture. Hopefully I can experience it one day. Your big fan from Malaysia
Great film Freddie, what a place the Bike shed appears to be! If only they could open in every town/city, it would be so cool!
Will be good to see you back on the Bonnie Freddie!
Always visit bikeshed when we are in London amazing place and friendly staff. Just added bolt to my list for next time.great Sunday morning viewing as always 🏍️
i love the musics you choose for your videos!!!😍
nice to see bike culture is doing well . some great quality products ,thanks for taking us there Freddie ,not forgetting Monika.
Freddie, another fab bit of content....thanks fella...
That’s awesome!
I visited the bike shed very very recently and just felt that the atmosphere had changed so much but not for the better. Almost like due to LA Shed opening up, The Shoreditch Shed has been pushed aside.
THANK YOU!!!
I have seen many well known bike channels review this bike.
And i want one.
BUT this is the first vid I've seen to home in on and show all those excruciatingly delicious design details!!!
Now i NEED one.
Great seeing another CB1100 identical to mine. I'm loving it, nearly a thousand miles on it since I got it last month.
Morning Freddie and Monika !🏴
Good morning Mike🏴☕️
Love Bolt. Some fantastic gear, and always so welcoming.
I’m sure the garage is a reputable place but as you’ve waited and waited and waited, I’m at a loss as to why the garage seems to have put you in a queue knowing the hassle you’ve been through over the months? Patience of a saint 😇.
My thoughts exactly, the bike has been waiting on parts, they are now there, obviously making more on quick services than an extended time on the lift the Boneville needs. I'd be fuming. You're too kind Freddie.
Love The Bike Shed in London. Been several times when I’ve been there on business. Even managed to bring my son there once, to get him more into motorcycles. Wonderful place, but a little far from Norway for regular trips. Tobacco Docks is on my bucket list though 😎🏍️👍🏼 T120 Black rider
We were at The Bike Shed yesterday, Rykas in Boxhill today......Big Widows Sons event.
Your bike mechanic has no loyalty. Your bike must been in shop the longest so u shud be at front of queue. Imagine if you weren’t fortunate enough to be given bikes for use. That gasket would be 2 hr max job. I don’t feel your hearts in it. Maybe time to part
Bike sheds are like a candy store for me with very expensive candies 😁
Likewise- it’s a dangerous place to be😆💷
Another great video Freddie. Love going to the Bike Shed. Ther is a great little place just past Epping, if you fancy avoiding the A12, called the original tea hut. Busy biker spot over the weekend and great to stop off for a quick drink before heading into london.
Saved to my list, thanks Scott!
A few years ago I took a friend to get some new boots. She was also thinking about a helmet so we looked at the range in the shop. My last 2 have been Shoei's, super comfortable and I thionk reasonable value. J&S Accessories was the shop. Bel was a bit shocked at the price of the Shoei's, so looking at the XXXs we asked the guy serving us what he thought? "Everybody who works here has a Shoei" came the reply."I'm pretty sure that speaks volumes" he said.
Haha that's my Desert X! 😂
Great video of The Bike Shed, my constant goto in London, will say hello next time you are there 👍🏻
How do you find it? What's it like off-road?
Loving the Cagiva Elefant look
Time for new bike 😎
Oh god I've gone £2,000 overdrawn just watching you go round those shops. I daren't go there in person...
Don’t go Paul, because you’re right- they’re dangerous places for the bank balance!😆
@@FreddieDobbs Maybe I'll leave my phone and bank cards at home and take 50 quid cash.
Man, I wish we had a place like that in the States!
Lovely ride out, thanks for taking us along, I'm hoping to get down to Shed one day and have a look round and a few other places too. Great video as always
14:40 alloy fairing🙂 Two great shops. Thanks.
Brilliant film Freddie I loved both places you visited they set their shops out so well ...loved it well done again you 2....
Freddie, in Newcastle upon Tyne we had everything motorcycling in one place.....Westgate Road (The Hill) . Sadly COVID has seen the death of that venue.
Great vid Freddie, love the bike shed and their annual bike show in tobacco dock, this years show was a blinder! … looking forward to your next vid 👊
Bike Shed London is on my list of places I hope to visit, thank you for adding Bolt to the list as well.
wow I love the new POV riding angle
Miss my Buell. Love my RnineT/5. And if I ever get another new bike I would love it to be a Norton as one of my top choices.
It truly look's a great place Freddie and if it was anywhere other than London I would make the effort to go to it but I would avoid London like the plague 😉👌👍
A police bike in bike shed? Not seen one in there before. Thanks for the awesome vid again Freddie 😊
Another great video freddie. I always try and fit in a visit to the bike shed when I’m down London. Last time was for the bike shed show 2022. I can’t believe we missed you there. Me and my wife are in your video but we were too busy watching the bikes ride through rather then the people filming them 🤦♂️ would have been so great to have spoken to you in person. Never made it to Bolts old location but new one looks close enough to walk to from bike shed.
Haha yep I don’t blame you- watching the bikes going past is by far the most interesting thing! Bolt’s very very good too- much more left field gear that you don’t see in other places👌🏻
*From a land-use perspective, having the Bike Shed underneath an existing viaduct(?) is so very.* But putting parking at the end was genius. With no seating, street side, it allows most patrons to enjoy each bike entering like they were fashion models on a runway.
Not only of the UK but actually one of the coolest bike places in Europe, and now in the US too! Every quarter I go to London for work and I always go to the Shed!
Please explain, so the US has a Bike Shed location? Thanks
Yep it does, Ralph. Bike Shed now have a spot in California. It looks brilliant!🇺🇸
@@ralpheyssen6676 yes mate, actually in L.A.
Thanks Freddie@@FreddieDobbs
Thank you @@Santi_Mancini
Recently subscribed. Fantastic vlogs you make very entertaining. Just recently got my first triumph a 2017 T100 and absolutely love it. keep the vlogs coming
Must admit, Motorcycles terrify me which is one reason I feel I should face that fear.
But the aesthetic of everything bike related is fantastic.
Absolutely great, thank you for the insight on the Bike Shed, I’ll take the Paul Smart Ducati 😊
It’s cool isn’t it- such a desirable bike!🤩
nice to see a gaggle of henry 'coles' getting coffee, seven minutes in
17th of August !!! That's my birthday (57 years young 😊)
Peace out ✌️
Lovely Video as Always greetings from Germany
Thanks, sending my best over in Germany👋🇩🇪
Norton need to lend you a bike.
Great places to visit. Shame they are in London!
Ha! I never heard such an amusing comment "London doesn't have much traffic" seriously though, i think you were just lucky. It doesn't matter what day or time you go out, you will end up encountering gridlock. I used beeline the other day to go from south to north London, was quoted 1 hour by the app, it took 2. The bike shed is great, they have very friendly staff and the waiters/waitresses even nod at you as you drive in.
Maybe I was a bit enthusiastic with that comment!
Buying a Norton T Shirt will probably bankrupt the majority without the bike 👀 nice though 😎👍
Yes I saw one the other day. Plain black with black logo. £60
I can’t lie- it ain’t cheap. I think some of those jackets are £800(ish). They’re very proud that all of the jackets are made in Scotland, so they’re hugely pushing the British-ness. It’s stunning stuff, but you do need deep pockets
That was very engaging Freddie. I (ol man) haven’t been to London for years; very interesting to see it through your eyes. We’re looking forward to your thoughts on the BMW 😉 👍🏼👍🏼
Glad you enjoyed it! I’m just about to turn in your video with Nick🙂
R18. Impressive. Very very impressive💪🏼
I'm afraid while I find Bike Shed interesting to view places like this seem more pretentious and aimed more towards life style bikers. To be fair there are more these types of biker hangouts and dealerships than ones that have the warmth, feel and smell of bike shops before the boutique era we are now in.
I know have only found one myself in the last 30 years and it is located in the middle of Iowa, called Baxter Cycles. Visiting this shop took me instantly back to 1969 and a feeling I was back home again. It's hard to explain if you haven't experienced it and it doubtful you'll ever get to but if you are crossing Iowa take exit 51 to Marne.
It is in a very small town almost in a corn field, I'll guarantee just one visit and you'll see what I mean.
I’ll save this spot, because I hope to be in the US next year🇺🇸
I started riding just before these new biker hangouts arrived (13 years ago). One thing that’s definitely better now in my eyes- the quality of food and coffee☕️🥙
I preferred the Ace Cafe.
@@FreddieDobbs If your close to Boise Idaho I'd be happy to meet you to say hello. I'm recovering from a crash at the Bonneville Salt Flats in August but I'll be fit ina few weeks.
@@racheltaylor6578out of curiosity, can I ask why?
Morning Freddie! 🌞….I can highly recommend the Shoei Glamster.
Morning Stevie. I’m very glad to hear this- I think the Glamster would be top of my list👌🏻
Thiumph should fix your bike free of charge for the time you have been waiting... Kind of ridiculous. Either way as always, great video 👌🏻😎
Norton is a beautiful bike.
Great video. Must pay a visit to the Bike Shed one day. Those Barraquito's you recommended Freddie are amazing! Thinking of bringing back a bottle of Licor 43!! Weather getting even hotter next week here in Tenerife!! 🥵
They’re delicious, aren’t they! I miss Tenerife hugely🖤🏝️
I hope you had a brilliant time!
Freddie, I really admire your dressing sense and styling. However, could you please make videos showing how you would dress up for a ride when it's raining? Bcz Where I live, rain is quite frequent.
Morning Freddie
Good morning, Malcolm! Have a good’n🙂
The delay in waiting for bike repairs was solved by me buying more than one bike 😀
Fantastic video and the music 🎶 was absolutely amazing 👏 Great to see Norton building bikes in the UK 🇬🇧 Would love to see an affordable Norton 500 classic spoke wheels 2 old clocks metal mudguards.
All the old British bikes should be making a come back , it's time we got back to style and character.
good spot of luck to stop by Bolt when the Michelin man was making a personal appearance.
The Bonnie story is appalling. First the terrible availability of a simple part and second the mechanic pushing you to the back of the queue for a fairly simple job after over 3 months waiting. Absolutely terrible.
I work about a mile from the Bike Shed occasionally- perhaps I’m a bit old school but…
Great video I would love a trip to the bike shed but it’s a long way from Manchester 👍
kinda sad that I can only see UK's wonderful bike culture on youtube. wish I could go on a trip someday!
Sales is sales no matter what culture you are in. " you give me the money, I will give you a bike" classic way of saying. If you got what I need, I will give you what you want.
You should get a old lambrette and have a go on one and not one of these modern royal ally ones I have thoughs where the days back in the late 60s early 70s good times been on a lamby and fashion to even then loved the motorbikes of the time now 72 and still remember the good old days I sound like an old record bikes and scooters today are brilliant but there just something about back in the day with scooters and bikes I think it where different types off culture between each different sections of scooter boys and bikers I will shut up now waffling on lol
On the contrary- I found this fascinating and thank you for sharing! Although I wasn’t around in those years, I can imagine it was a golden era!:)
I always know I can't afford a product on how it is displayed, if it looks like my home, I can't afford it. If I can't see the counter where it is displayed, I might be able too, and if I have to search for it really hard. It's mine!. Lol. 1000 Sq ft shopping area and 32 items for sale, I have to move on. Lol😂
Credit the DJ great music Freddie🎉
Sell the Bonny, buy the Classic 350 Reborn!
(but not the Halcyon grey!) ,-)
Freddie, have you heard of Janus motorcycles in Indiana, US? Less than 10 years old manufacturer, making bikes with 100-year-old vibe. Probably not available in UK, but their website worth a look.
Sadly, not sold here in the UK.
No excuse Freddie, ya should have fitted the gasket yourself, not that hard surely. No traffic in London, lol. Im so outa touch with that place, I left London N16 for good in 1974 for Melbourne Australia when I was 19.
You’re probably right regarding g the gasket, Volvi. Wow- nearly 50 years!🇦🇺
I've been to the Los Angeles Bike Shed Moto Co. But, have to go to the Lobdon location, someday.
Lucky winner appears to be a scam.
GET RID OF THE BONNY !! GET A SPORSTER !!
Fairing i believe
Why are the mechanics making wait? You should pull a star power rant on them. “Don’t you know who I am?”
You’d think they would want the publicity.
Lovely video Freddie, and an enlightening insight regarding London's roads with significantly fewer cars.
I have to ask, why were you in discomfort for most of the ride into London?
Freddie! Great video as always! Question: where did you get that cool backpack!!! Details pls!! Thanks In advance
Hi Freddie, nice video. I noticed at about the 16 minute mark, that both lanes of vehicles on the freeway/motorway moved towards the shoulder/emergency stopping lane - is this common practice in England when there's a stoppage on the roadway (to allow access for emergency vehicles for example)? Thanks.
Great Video Freddie. What time of day did you get to The Bike Shed to have no traffic?? Last time I was up there the roads were chocker and it was only early afternoon! Good to see around the place and interesting to know there's a Norton section.
Great video Freddie, I'm definitely going ti check our the Bike Shed next time I'm in London, it's fantastic that they offer safe bike parking! By the way what make of jacket are you wearing in this? Cheers
Barber shop? Marvelous....
A nice touch👌🏻
Another great video. Always love the story you’re telling. Did you purchase the jacket? Cheers from the US.
Thanks Skowski🙌🏻 I did buy the jacket👌🏻
Hello, fantastic and relaxing videos, pure style. However, everyone is waiting for the return of the Bonneville, which, I suggest, would look great as a second bike. The mechanical service cannot imagine the audience they are looking at. Could it be, perhaps, the lack of tools? 🤨
What is the clip on mic that you use? Always gives great clarity!
Must visit both bike shed and bolt I am in market for a new helmet soon and boots lol 😊
Freddie……the sofas are CHESTERFIELD…..NOT Chesterman.
Could you do another one for this year's BikeShed show in Tobacco Dock, pls?
Is it an RnineT you're hopping on?
I've never been to the Bike Shed. Nick J
Suprised you didn’t try the Bell Steve McQueen ISDT while you were there Fred.
Freddie, you forgot to mention the Paintshop Tattoo studio upstairs at the Shed, and for that reason my daughter who tattoos there, said no 10% for you 😉
Cheers Freddie, what day of the week is best to visit bikeshed if you want it to be nice and quiet.? Thanks
The white cb1100 at the bike shed, is probably going to be my next bike
I think Luiza, the owner, would have something to say about that.
how long of a wait to get a head gasket for a Norton?
Hi Freddie, did Ducati change the dimensions on the Scrambler seating position? I just rode the 2016 Scrambler Classic yesterday and had no issues (I'm 6.2). Great video btw 🙂
Interesting question. My guess is it must be quite a similar seating setup, although I’m surprised you found it ok at 6’2.
I was ok for the first 20mins, but after that, the pain kicked in😳
@@FreddieDobbs I hope you make a review on the Triumph Scrambler 400 X, with only nice things to say as I just bought on yesterday (delivery 2024)
i screamed when you said"a german, a bmw", can't wait.
freedie ducati suits you tho
It’s pure art😍
