What Each Of Hawk's Hair Colours Represent

- Each of Hawk’s different hair colours represent a different stage in his life, a different mindset and are flagships for his characters development. I’m going break down and analyse exactly what those colours mean in today's video. Hawk is hands down one of the coolest characters from the Cobra Kai Tv show. So many of us have fallen in love with his journey because it's so relatable. It’s a story of boy who lacks confidence and belief in himself finally take a stand and ‘flip the script’. Eli Moskowitz steps back into shadows and in his place is Hawk, a badass karate machine with a sick blue mohawk.
I asked him about his hair color in season 5 and it ended in playful banter.
"Is it green?"
"I can't tell you that, man."
"Orange?"
"I can't tell you that!"
"So it's green. Got it."

Hawk has been my favourite since day 1, when he became a bully it just made his story more intriguing, and then when he switched sides back to the good guys at the end of season 3 it was amazing seeing his character come full circle
Blue- Johnnys Cobra Kai, good, confident, strong, brave
Red- Kreeses Cobra Kai, bad, evil, powerful, angry, bully
Purple- Eagle Fang, balance between blue and red (good and evil), more stronger, balanced, good
Coming soon Teal (Miyagi Do)-Rebirth, balanced, healing
Green didn't last or really have a meaning
@@YokaiX The Green symbolises Miyagi Do and it’s the Color of the bonsai tree, symbolises rebirth, balance, inner piece and it’s a combo of Eli (defence) and Hawk (offense)
Hawk has come a long way, but I still don't like how he bullied Demetri who was his best friend. During the school fight this would have been a good scene. Demetri tries to get through to him saying this isn't who he's supposed to be. Hawk replies "This is who I wanted to be. My whole life I've been pushed around, bullied laughed at. Never again. I really dont wanna hurt you Demetri, but you leave me no choice". Hawk tries to attack but Demetri pins him down saying he's not giving up on him. Shows how strong Demetri is not giving up on his BFF

Here are what Hawks hair colours represent, what they symbolise, describing his personality and his fighting style:
Blue:
Represents: Cobra Kai under Johnny Lawrence
Symbolises: The beginning of Hawk. He has become strong, confident and brave. He is Hawk on the outside and Eli on the inside.
Personality: He is on the good side. Shows the confidence and shows that he can defend himself
Fighting Style: Means that he is learning Cobra Kai and shows that he’s flashy and reckless in a fight
Red:
Represents: Cobra Kai under Kreese
Symbolises: Evil. He has become more powerful and is fighting for the bullied kid he once was.
Personality: He has become something that he hated the most, a bully. Somebody who shows no mercy
Fighting style: He is now a pro at Cobra Kai.
Purple:
Represents: Eagle Fang
Symbolises: Balance between both blue (good) and red (evil). Meaning that Hawk is on the good side but still aggressive and powerful. Similar to Mace Windu from Star Wars, using both light and dark side of the force.
Personality: He has become a good person again who learned from his mistakes but shows the dark side to his enemies
Fighting Style: He can defend himself with defence (Miyagi-Do) and offence (Cobra Kai and Eagle Fang)
Green:
Represents: Miyagi-Do
Symbolises: The rebirth of Hawk. Balance and inner piece
Personality: He has become too overconfident after his success at the all valley but can still kick a lot of ass. A combo of Eli and Hawk
Fighting Style: He mostly uses defence (Miyagi-Do) but unleashes the Hawk when necessary.

I love Hawk! He's my favorite character in the show. However, I think Eli is perhaps his true self. His heart if you will. Eli built Hawk around that heart not allowing it to show until it finally broke free to balance the two haves. He no longer needs the mohawk if he should choose not to regrow it. Hawk is on the inside, not the outside.

It LOOKS like the mohawk will be back for him in Season 5! Someone mentioned it's going to be blue one more, but would like it to maybe be either orange, or green, to reflect him now being part of Miyagi-Do, and his now new elite fighter, but no longer bully image though.

@@superawesomeman4374 It was on another video, where someone mentioned Jacob being spotted with blue hair. Dunno if that's really true or not though.
I liked the purple but how many times can he cover up that tattoo until it turns like a brown color lol
@@dylan_008 Bummer we didn't get to see the purple for too long though. But it will be interesting to see how this goes, and how many more colors he'll go through when all is said and done! And that's assuming he even gets it back as well!

Also I realised that if you mix red and ble you get purple. so that ia probably why Hawk painted his hair like that
I think the only thing I would have changed with hawk was his friendship with Dimitri.
I felt the season finale where he finally defended Dimitri in that fight. Glad they are tekindling their friendship, but this felt rushed. Yes, there were flashbacks and gradual friendly interactions, but it did not make sense after he kept beating his best friend near to a pulp and like you said, broke his arm. That’s traumatic. It is very difficult to redeem that mistake. It is nearly impossible to become friends after they physically and verbally hurt you.
Even as Eli, he was a huge jerk to Dimitri. If their friendship was better executed with scenes that show them having fun together for more than three seconds, I may be more behind his redemption arc.
I like how he is earning his place with his friends and the two teams. The merger allows him to embrace all three styles of karate and become a great fighter, but become a better person too.

@Raymond Sims I guess they never thought one of the side stories was going to be so engaging to so many people. He, like Aysha, like Moon, has no place in the central plot but his character is so intense I was cheering for him and Moon, while I can't give a dawn about the Booby/Sam/Miguel triangle

I never seen seen Cobra Kai but I’ve heard of it and I plan to start watching
Make sure to watch the Karate Kid movies first, as Cobra Kai is a spin-off.
They say you can watch the show without ever having watched the movies, but i don't understand why you would want to watch a spin-off show while not even being familiar with the main franchise.
If you read a book, you don't start somewhere in the middle either.
