  • Have you ever switched between browsers and lost your bookmarked website? I was having the same issue, and decided to use Notion to create a Bookmarks page.

This is actually so helpful; I'm a serial tab hoarder and it can get our of control. Appreciate you taking the time to make this!

Here's why I like 'The Notion Coach' better than 98% of all the so-called Notion coaches on CZcams. He/you... talk nice and slowly, explaining things calmly... as opposed to the others who seemed to have a contest between them on who can talk the fastest and show off how skilled they are using Notion jumping from one screen to the next...

That's only the case if you already have a working knowledge of how to use the app, because all this did was confuse me, as I'm on mobile and I have no reference for what any of the shortcuts are (and I'll never remember them)

i like how you can add multiple levels of tags. is there a way to organize your tabbing though?
for example: my top level "category" might be "inspiration" - which could be sorted by "type" website design, colors, etc
another "category" might be "projects" - which could be sorted by "client #1" "client #2"
can i set it up so that when projects is selected only client #1 and client #2 show as tag options instead of all the other tags which are not related to "projects"
    Thanks!

Interesting usage of Notion. I am always struggled in managing bookmarks because of browsers changes, but also website updates. Currently, adding a page is a one-way door. Unfortunately, I got hundreds of bookmarks and whenever a website is dead, the Notion database will be a maze.

Great video, thank you. I have hundreds of bookmarks in Chrome all in folders, so all my video URLs are in a folder called videos. Is there a way to import all of these folders with their URLs and still keep the folder names or have the folder name changed into the equivalent Tag name? This would save me days of work

I was already doing this, but was looking for a way to parse my old browser bookmarks html into an existing notion collection(not just list them as a page, but save the individual bookmarks into the collection template). Any idea on how to accomplish this?
a bonus would be converting the folder structure to tags :D maybe there is a way of importing separate entries(blocks, cells) on a notion page into another collection?

When you save the HTML file for your book marks you want to do this. Open a page in notion > import > HTML > Open File

Great question, Travis! The Save to Notion extension works with Chrome, but I don't think there's a Safari extension. I would import bookmarks from Safari to Chrome, then use Save to Notion to add each link to your Notion dashboard, ps. this article is helpful for moving bookmarks from Safari to Chrome. Hope that helps!

Great tutorial! Thank you, however unfortunately I was not able to find Save to Notion as a Safari Extention. Can't wait to see more of your tutorials. I have previously exported my bookmarks from Safari to my mac and when I try to import it to MY Bookmarks, which we just created it did not import it to the bookmarks library, only below as a separate page. Do you have any suggestions on how I could import it to the table instead? I don't want to do it bookmark by bookmark as it would take me forever. Ok, I tried using the Notion Web clipper, and it's doing the same thing. I think not the issue is with the extension. I will try to switch to Chrome and see if I am getting the same error.
Update: I have switched to Chrome, was able to download SAVE to NOTION extension, installed it, and when I am trying to import all bookmarks to my Notion board it does the same. Is there an easy way to import them if you have lots? Of has to be done one by one using the Save to Notion Clipper?
Tested importing my IG page only and worked beautifully!! Thanks

Still waiting for someone to do a video on how to just push "share to notion" click the folder you want the link in, and that be the end of it. if we wanted to go throigh all of this, wouldnt we just use a normal speadsheet?

Have you tried the Save to Notion chrome extension? You can set it to auto save to the database you choose, and it’s pretty much one click. Could be a good alternative?
