- In this my latest compilation we see a range of trains along the beautiful coastline of my home patch of Carmarthenshire in West Wales, featuring a selection of trains captured over the last ten years.
Lovely to see an HST out in the wild 🙂
Thanks very much, all part of History now, as they've all been replaced by the Hitachi Class 800's.
Great collection of shots Bob, thank you for this upload. Regards Mike.
Thanks very much Mike for your kind comments....Regards...Bob
Moist enjoyable Bob. Thanks for sharing. Cheers, Bob.
That's good to know Bob, delighted you've enjoyed it....Bob
Nice compilation Bob .. even with snow
Thanks Dave, it's rare to have snow down here, so it was good to capture something.
Always very nice your compilations, Bob. Take care of yourself and your family during this difficult time. Philippe
Merci Philippe, nous sommes toujours bien tous les deux en ce moment, mais c'est une période effrayante pour quiconque de notre groupe d'âge .... Prenez soin de vous aussi et restez en sécurité ...
Fine selection Bob, I particularly enjoyed the shot in the snow
Thanks Austin, that seems to be the favourite clip....handy when it's at the bottom of your Garden.
A superb variety of trains on another fine compilation Bob. Regards, Jeff.
Thanks Jeff, during these difficult times. it's nice to share previously unseen footage. Regards...Bob
Excellent video Bob. Great compilation of shots from your achieves. Long time ago when the last military tanks were down west. Thoroughly enjoyable watching. Best wishes C&A
Thanks as always for your support, with the restrictions on us, this looks like what the future will hold for some time....Best wishes...Bob
Great videos Rob very atmospheric ! seems Im not the only one with a mainline at the bottom of his garden !!!
Thanks Merv, it's like having a full size layout.
Excellent compilation at some well chosen locations Bob. Nice one. Regards, Dave.
Thanks Dave, digging through some unseen footage from within the last ten years....Regards....Bob
Hi Bob.Nice collection of shots from the beautiful south Wales....I'm trying to keep the railway guys happy during this sad time (virus) by filming a weekly video of the trains that pass our garden that are a little bit different, mainly 66's though....Hopefully these will keep everybody sane......Keep safe ...Best wishes Chris
Thanks Chris, unfortunately I've fallen behind with my viewing, but hopefully will catch over the next few days...You and Rosie keep safe too....Bob
Burry Port station hasn't changed a lot since I used to get off the Ammanford bus and walk over the footbridge on the way to Carmathen Bay power station as a young trainee in 1965.
Apart from the station buildings Peter, it's changed very little over the years. At the moment, the footbridge has been removed for some TLC.
Great video Bob :)
Thank you Simon.
A great variety of shots/locations Bob, I enjoyed them all. Coincidence that you and Chris have such a similiar view including that tree to the right lol. Best Wishes, Brian.
Thanks Brian, you're quite right, watching Chris's video was like being at the bottom of my garden. Just wish there was more variety down here....Regards...Bob
After this I'm sure we will all be lacking steam variety ourselves Bob. With your scenic backdrops though even 66's can look good!! Regards, Brian.
Wow! some great stuff Bob we here are under restrictions and getting worse. Don't know what is going happen next.
Same over here Wayne, a terrible situation, unable to go out capturing trains, so I'm digging out this older material for the foreseeable future...Keep safe my Friend.
Loved the oil train in the snow. I live here and all i see is bloody 175s ! Keep em' coming - the vids, not the 175s :-)
Thanks very much, like you the 175's are the mainstay of passenger services, these featured are under the Arriva Trains Wales banners, who lost their franchise, and won't be around for much longer.
@@robmasterman Cheers Rob, I think they were second hand coming to Wales. What ive seen of the new TFW trains didn't get me excited either. That said if they run a 1970s DMU through id be jumping up and down. Must be my age.
@@jimbojunior8236 I'm with you all the way there, the older units had so much more character, and I am old enough to remember them being introduced in the 1950's.
That was a really nice video, but the scenery at Cefn Padrig Bay makes it difficult to take a bad video. I have a soft spot for the DMUs wherever they run, so that pleased me too. The part where the 66 rescued the 60, the loco engineer got horn happy, could it be he knows the famous photographer?
It's always a pleasure to receive your comments, which are greatly appreciated...As to the loco engineer, I've known him since he was a young boy!!
@@robmasterman I figured that the horn show was meant for you! Such is the fame of your photography. I have also figured out that Nick Twiney's Shevanigans CZcams channel showing the incredible beauty of his home in the Gower, is very close to you. I guess you can't point a camera in Wales without seeing something beautiful.
@@ncplantdoctor I can indeed see the North Coast of Gower from our bedroom window, and aware that I live in a very special place...Thanks as always and keep safe.
