Lived in nw Ar for 30 yrs and floated the buffalo river , even lived in the town of ponca, i had met the great great granddaughter of the town founder and lived on the original homestead for 2 yrs, ponca is where sll the canoers start from 👍 so seeing u an gal pal enjoying my old back yard is cool😊

Some companies still spray shredded newspapers in the walls for insulation.

First off. Welcome back to my state. That’s only the beginning of the beautifulness. Second. Soak a ground sheet in permethrin and bring a thermocell. You will have a lot less bugs. If you make it further into Arkansas. Go to petit Jean state park. It was our first state park and you can base camp in the campground and explore all the trails. The you need to go to JFK campground and get you some awesome trout fishing in. Love the videos. Maybe one of these trips down here we could hang out at a campground.

@@TheOutdoorsMeGee there is a CZcams channel called domelife. They are from Arkansas and have done that hike if you would like to see what it’s like. Another tip. Be careful in the summer if you come back. The humidity and bugs are bad

Some old time hiking advice was to soak new boots and walk them till dry
Not sure how good that is
But I would treat them with Snow Seal to waterproof them you can wade water and your feet stay dry

It’s December 17th and we just got back from a camping trip to the mountains..snow on the ground and19 degrees at night but man was it a blast

Ive had so many tents tear or zippers break or just leak that i always carry a tarp and a roll of seam tape and benadryl

If you're out in an area where there are ticks wear long pants with socks over the bottom of them. Doesn't matter how hot it is wear long pants. My brother has Lyme Disease and has had it for over 7 years and they still don't know how to treat him. He's really sick.

Yo morning MeGee good to see you out and the miss.looks beautiful out there just started watching feeling the lugging of pack did alot that last week lol had come back from wood Saturday had work on Sunday and chilled yesterday may be heading back down today lmao at the hole you going haft get your needles 🪡 and thread out lol when you gotta go you gotta go I rember once went camping in caravan was sleeping in compartment above the front seats rember waking up to need to go pee pitch black can't see kind of forgotten sec where you are rember panicking trying get out to pee didn't know which was out lol turning left right you cant sit up cause the roof guessing what like wake up in coffin lol luckily my mates family heard me turned light on was able to get out worst that could happen would heard loud bang me falling out bunk and maybe pee everywhere lol 😂

Every single hole is the exact same size usually not typical of ash to be that consistent. Guess will never know lol

Our tent was about 15ft from smoldering ashes the first time we went down there and woke up to the holes. Can't say it wasn't 100 percent but not likely. Same size hole all over the place it just doesn't make since lol
lived a few miles up the rd towards ki Gaston me and my daughters used to get our water down there out of the under ground cavern best water around be aware of the cabin house leaving Kingston across from car wash Patrick Lawrence curl and Mary hebis a federal confidential informant in protecting e hiding has one eye avoid at all cost complete problem for that community
