That was the last mission with all four Groove street homies together. Obviously smoke and Ryder did betray them already in the story but here was the last trip. I'm always talking about this game when passing the blunt.

Here's a useful thing to know about this mission. So during this mission the overworld essentially enters ghost town mode as long as you don't enter the motel right away. You cannot obtain a wanted level no matter where you go or what you do and there won't be any pedestrians or cars on the road. This can actually be quite helpful.
You can go to San Fierro or Las Venturas without getting the 4 Star wanted level you'd normally acquire if you did. You can use this mission to safely collect Tags, Snapshots, Oysters, or Horseshoes early on before returning to the motel to finish the mission. It can also be used to safely build up your Skill Levels on weapons since firing weapons won't incur the wrath of local law enforcement while you're playing this mission. Vehicles will be sparce though so if you're looking to explore the map you'll need to use safehouse vehicles or ones that have a set spawn area like Ambulances at hospitals or the planes in Los Santos Airport.

I just now realised, at the end of the mission, the only one you can see is CJ. Everybody else leaves. It's a "taste of things to come", starting from the next mission, since that's the last time you hanged out with Ryder and Big Smoke, and Sweet goes to jail.
You're left on your own, just like CJ being the only one visible through that hole.
GTA SA comedy is the best in the series.
GTA LCS and IV right behind it though.

Does anybody else not have any checkpoints in this mission? It seems impossible to finish when every time I get right to the end but die and have to start all over again
Yes it’s highly annoying. I’ve noticed it’s best to shoot at the hood of the cars so they can blow up faster instead of shooting the actual cops

This was my favorite mission of the Grove Street gang together all time before Ryder and Smoke betray them. The dialogue, chaos with gang and cops, and the gameplay define this excellent made mission from Rockstar back then. It's one of the best GTA missions I ever played before

The 9mm pistol, the sawed off shotgun, the Tec 9 and the Micro Uzi are the only weapons that can carry double if you reach the hitman skill level there's another way to get to the hitman level, each branch of Ammu-Nation in San Andreas has a shooting range club and here are the branches:
Downtown Los Santos, Los Santos
Palomino Creek, Red County
Blueberry, Red County
Ocean Flats, San Fierro
El Quebrados, Tierra Robada
Come-A-Lot, Las Venturas
Old Venturas Strip, Las Venturas
Best mission ever hands down
The last time we see all four Groves together like brothers before Smoke and Ryder show their true colors.
Looking back at this, it makes me think that this is one of the biggest foreshadowings of betrayal in the game, second to the missions from Smoke and Ryder and the arguments about drugs between Sweet and Smoke
Crazy how this was the 4th attempt of Ryder and smoke trying to off sweet
1. Green Saber attempt
2. Seville boulevard attempt ( Ryder or smoke gave word out about sweets location)
3. House party ( Ryder never returns with smoke )
4. Reuniting the families
They most likely only return because they probably knew if the Johnson Brothers made it out would of brought suspicions

Favorite mission in the whole game when everyone in the whip. I use to always make it to where Comptons most wanted would be playing while I did this

I never had issues with old version of this game, with this remake I keep dying during this car chase, as my car gets destroyed by other car explosions… frustrating.
This is the last mission where 4 people are together (CJ, Sweet, Big Smoke and Ryder). Sad, now after this mission, 2 of them will betray us.

the gang's dialogues in the drive by sequence alone makes this one of the best missions in the entire game

some things are better in the original version like minor details

Im playing the DE for a new feel of things, just the lightning makes a great difference, and then gonna download the og version and add tons of mod for a buffed experience.
Tons of mods=you're game's gonna crash a lot
The definitive edition is so much better not gonna lie. Only things I don’t like are the obvious bugs, character models, some of the original atmosphere has been taken away, songs removed etc.
You have to admit the police helicopter going in low trying to slash you with blades is epic af

Here is some tips:
1- after the helicopter when you walk with sweet and before ryder and smoke come with the car do the “slow game” cheat
2- shoot at the hood of the cap car
3- focus on one cap car once you finish it go to the next one
