You can tell that LD and LCW are a class above the players today. I’m a LD fan and back then I was always hoping LCW would lose. But now that he has retired, I kinda feel sad for LCW. Random players like Kean Yew can win a WC gold medal and LCW didn’t win any but prime LCW would dismantle Kean Yew. LCW was just unlucky to be born in the same era as LD.

@@BadmintonLogic He didn't have enough points. BWF granted him a wild card for the 2013 World Championships but they didn't do it again for 2014.
Lin Dan is a once in a lifetime talent. We are not going to meet another player on par with him again.
