    I'm doing Roulettes, as a healer. To help relief a bit of stress on the DPS queues.

    Imagine thinking the 5 percent of healers that are 'striking' are going to be noticed on an expansion release that just let out two new DPS classes.

    I'm sorry for all of you "high tier healers" but I would rather not have my game-time spent in a dungeon/trial be based on whether or not my healer actually plays the game or just plays for the story that's why there is additional content in the game where healing is a major point, and don't even bring up the TOP clear no healers cause unless you've done it its not a valid position for you to take, but I do agree that it obviously shows some design flaws within the game/ with healers, but to strike simply cause "I don't feel needed in casual content dungeon" is just dumb People play classes cause they like them not to feel important, and if you feel like you need to be needed in CASUAL content I think its a personal issue.
    Each subset of DPS could do a similar strike if they really wanted to. The game at a base level is not designed for "harder" content as we all know every single class/role is easy to learn/play.
    Like most content at its core difficulty level needs healers (EXs and up), cause that's what it was mainly designed for - week 1 clearable! ( excluding Ultimate - results may vary and usually do even for good groups)

    Far too many casual players for a strike to work. For every one end game healer who will strike there will be 10 casuals who have no idea there is a strike lol

    I'd love for the healer strike to work, but it's kinda hard to drive up the kind of demand to make our absence noted, when WAR is allowed to be the entire Holy Trinity, and SMN and RDM can also do our jobs as rezzers.

    Healing has been an issue for a long time. It's just people are only more talking about it. People have been running dungeons and doing raids away before this recent dungeon run... It's def not the beginning. But it be that way sometimes... I'm hoping the game ups up difficulty to make healing feel like healing and not green dps

    • @kellevichy
      @kellevichy Před 8 dny +1

      When dungeons are made 'too hard' the community complains until they're nerfed. There is literally no winning because the devs listen to the community and the community is never happy.

  • @Ririten
    @Ririten Před 10 dny +18

    Right off the bat just...literally incorrect. "These are the best of the best" is not why they can run dungeons healer-less lol. It's easy, anyone who's even moderately competent can do it. If your DPS is good, it's both easier and faster than a standard comp run. I just want my class to be fun and engaging again man. I want my offset DoT back, I want Shadowflare back, and I want fights to hit harder.

    • @eaglefalcon
      @eaglefalcon  Před 10 dny +5

      It's not incorrect. The people who sparked this are ultimate raiders. That is a fact. Not everyone can run healerles. To right of the bat and claim what I said is incorrect shows you didn't listen. You want more options for dps, I agree. You'd know that IF YOU LISTENED

    • @Ririten
      @Ririten Před 10 dny +11

      @@eaglefalcon You imply that they were able to do it only because they were high end raiders, and then later in the video even repeat the implication. But that's simply not the case. Healerless runs are brain dead, especially with a Warrior. if you pop bloodwhetting and do your aoes, you'll self maintain long enough for three dps to clear out any double pull currently in the game unless they're literally asleep. Hell, if you watched Xeno's run you'd see he had to click his buttons because he didn't have time to bind them and accidentally left two of them off his hot bar. This is not the result of skilled high end play.
      You're all disingenuous as hell.

    • @eaglefalcon

      @@Ririten tell me you have selective hearing without telling me you have selective hearing. First off, no, 3 good dps cannot clear out a big trash pack in 3gcds. that's not realistic. Second, you seem to be under the delusion that 1 tank and 3 dps is common for the easiest content in the game, it just isn't. 1 tank and 3 dps is something people who are good at the game do for fun sometimes, 99% of the time it's pulling up duty finder and hoping your healer actually likes living enough to not die. But go ahead, continue to mis hear my words, continue to believe that healers have no place in the world. In the mean time, I'm gonna keep learning and mastering each of the jobs and enjoying my trip through the content while you wish cleric stance and shadow flare come back while I watch another astro eat another AOE and explode leaving me trying to keep people alive with heart of corrundum and aurora and failing cause it's a tank not a healer. btw, the double dots of sage is already gone.
      It's this kind of arguing and flaming that doesn't make me feel sorry for the old healing core, but I do hope the future healers do get more to do than 11 ruins and a bio over and over again.

      @@eaglefalcon If you could queue 1 tank 3 dps with randoms on duty finder it'd be a very common queue that most people would do because it's really easy and significantly faster. It's stupidly easy to tank wall to wall pulls without a healer, you don't even need to cycle all your mits really. I don't know why you think it's so hard, like just get a few of your friends and try it and you're going to manage healerless just fine lol. I feel like the only way you can think this is some difficult feat is if you haven't tried it before man. If you actually give it a try you're going to agree with everyone else here instantly.

    FFS imagining being so dramatic over a game you have to pay monthly to play. As a WAR I carried a team when a healer was trying to be a bully and a prat, but I still appreciate healers. I just want to, you know, enjoy my hobby. When people feel this much over a game, it's time to stop playing for a while and touch some grass.

    Yeah, you are wasting your time. If you wanted to do a healer strike, you need to do it when it matters. Gonna strike? Fine. I'll just run dungeons with trusts. Your strike is insignificant.

    This discourse is from people who don't actually play this game 'like that' and need to be spoonfed drama. You've been able to do 1 tank 3 dps for a while now. It's how I used to cap tomes with my static.
    I'm glad you guys are finally seeing how easy this game is, but it's a couple years late.
    Every class is homogenized and boring. Get mad about that next please.

      The people who are complaining about the game being too easy, were the same people who complained the game was too hard end-game wise in ARR & Heavensward.

      @@grygaming5519 I absolutely have never said this game is "too hard". I've played since ARR, i've done every raid tier ever released on content, I remember when Scholar was fun. When we had buttons, I remember Miasma II and Shadowflare and our second DoT. I guarantee you the people who want their buttons back are not the same people who asked to have them taken away and the people who want dungeons to deal more damage again are not the same who asked them to be nerfed. That whole sentiment makes no sense.

    The healer strike is probably the dumbest thing called for...when the same "healers" cant even keep a party up in the new content. It just makes them look like fools. Its just quite funny too funny, once again lots of noise from XIV forums.
    Been around since 2.x, healed all the way up as a WHM/AST to first tier of Eden before needing a break. The people complaining are the same kind of people who complained healing was too hard in Heavensward. The devs dumped down the whole class just to cater to these people.
    Once gain a self-inflicted wound by the community who doesn't know what they want.

      Can you explain what was incorrect?

    • @lukahcasshe6197
      @lukahcasshe6197 Před 4 dny

      @@eaglefalcon Gladly, and thank you for the opportunity! Sorry for the incoming wall in advance.
      I won't break down the whole video, but I will say some good points are made later into it(Healer downtime rotations are boring), but the incorrect part is saying the strike is because of Xeno. It definitely set it off, but healers have had grievances as far back as the beginning of Shadowbringers and have been posting on the OF healer forums for a good five years or so. They mostly got ignored for five years outside one of the healers jumping Yoshi P in an interview and getting the infamous "Go play Ultimate" comment from him. And as you know, then TOP got cleared with no healers on patch, which while it's one isolated incident not indicative of the norm and you are correct in saying so, does kind of make that "go play Ultimate" comment stand out more. Otherwise, healers have been ignored by devs and power crept by other jobs. This was mainly an issue with Endwalker WAR: The second bit of misinformation is that it's difficult to do healerless clears of dungeon content. Xeno even says in the media tour run that it was easy, and he played very suboptimally in the dungeon- taking vuln stacks from avoidable attacks, manually clicking buttons on his hotbar, things like that. But the problem isn't that you CAN do healerless runs of easy content. The problem is that it is faster and more optimal to do so without a healer while taking a lot less skill than people might think, depending on the tank in question. WAR can do it very easily, DRK basically can't at all, and the other two fall in the middle somewhere.
      Otherwise a lot of good points were brought up later in!(I admit I made the initial comment without finishing the video, and it shows; sorry) Notably, the big issue with the DPS filler is that you will be doing a lot of it- even in high tier content such as ultimates you will be Broiling 50-75% of the time and basically not using GCD healing at all depending on the job in question. That number goes up the easier the content is, and it's one DPS button. The whole strike really boils down to "Healing is boring, the DPS sucks and there's nothing to heal because nothing hits hard enough, other roles can keep themselves at full HP, and the devs don't play or care about healer". So people are playing other jobs- not a concerted effort to make queues longer(Which would never work), not griefing in dungeons(That's bannable please don't do that no matter how strongly you feel), just trying to play something actually fun.
      It might be a silly memey thing, but calling it a "Strike" got a spotlight shone on healers after being ignored for half a decade, so agree or disagree I'd call it a pretty resounding success.
      I also understand that, while I am currently not subbed, DT content does have some more bite to it and is helping this along, but the media tour coverage was sort of the signal to a lot of healers that they'd have 2-3 more years of terrible EW healing, since it's been pretty boring ever since they got gutted at the beginning of Shadowbringers. I was last subbed roughly a year ago in the post-EW patches and took a break around the middle of 6.3(Healing was boring to me). when I was subbed I did regular EX content and the occasional savage or unreal, but not ultimate, if my credentials matter. I considered myself midcore, but only say it because we're very used to hearing people say "Go play ultimate" and "Casuals don't know what they're talking about". It's a problem that affects all levels of play.
      Otherwise though, I enjoyed the video and promise I did actually finish it before writing this comment. Whether you agree or disagree with any of these points or the strike in general, I promise that we do appreciate you covering the subject at all. Thank you.
