For those that are new to DCS World, this is the aircraft you get for free and this tutorial series will be aimed at a brand new player with limited or no experience with a flight simulator.
You will be exposed to the mission editor, learn how to make missions that allow you to practice the skills required to master DCS from the ground up and also be able to fly sorties along side the tutorial videos at the same time.
In today's tutorial we will take a look at some tips for flying formation in the Su-25T.
This series structure will apply to any other module you would like to learn and will give you the building blocks and steps required to go from ZERO to HERO!

the key for me to lear formation is, if you feel like you are not closing you are closing, if you think you are closing, you are closing too fast, and of course if you think gap is expending you are expending way faster than you can imagine :P
Very true, slow is smooth and smooth is fast in formation flying
Another tip is setting your curvature. Another more extreme tip is changing the springs in the joystick to suit your needs.
man i love this tutorial series, i think ive watched it 10 times now hahaha, they thought me all i know so thank you. there isnt enough out there on the frogfoot. you should make a series doing thew missions and campaign! id love to see how to you approach them as im struggling a little.

Sure is mate, just because this aircraft can’t do it doesn’t mean it’s not a good skill to have for another module that does. Aerial refuelling is formation flying buddy 👌🏻

Flying formation in the Viper is so hard without the canopy frame 😂
I haven’t really dove into the auto pilot modes yet as I feel it would stop me from learning how to fly the frog foot correctly with rudder and stick. Once I’m happy I’ve got flying straight and level and in turns down I will get into the auto pilot modes to make life easier. The hornet has definitely ruined me in terms of learning how to actually fly. The FCS in it pretty much does the whole lot for you so you don’t use rudder hardly at all in it. Enjoying the learning process of flying manual 👌🏻👌🏻
@@TorniQuetHD I hear you dude, the Hornet and Hog (which is so forgiving it feels like it's fly-by-wire) have spoiled me. I've been following along with this series bouncing between the Froggy and the F-5 and Tomcat to re-learn flying everything using the Force instead of flight computers!
Hi, mate. I'm not sure, but i read something about this different types of KC 130...the slower one is for refueling heli's, but i dont know wich one...the Apache, the Blackhawk or the Hind. Because the normal KC 130 goes not under a certain speed, they introduce one(KC 130 J) that you can set at under 150 knots( not sure about the minimun speed)
Edit... its for the Blackhawk Mod...its includet in the Mod

Wonder where that KC-130J came from. I don't have it available. Is it a mod or did it install as part of a campaign?
I think it came with the UH-60 Mod, the Blackhawk can refuel in the mod but the normal KC-130 flies to fast for it
I disagree with using axis curves. I had them on and read last night to not use them at all and I was finally able to refuel without curves messing up a constant sensitivity - much like mouse acceleration in an fps game. I know for some, curves are helpful, but I think some should try without it too.
That’s crazy you can fly smoothly without curves bro!! You must have the steady hand of a surgeon!! 🔪 Mad respect to you mate, no way in hell I could refuel without curves
@@TorniQuetHD I agree to a point. I like some curve but I found that when I turned them down to about 8-10 I had more control. When I had them at 20-25 I would be trying to make small corrections but nothing would happen, so I'd move the stick further and then I'd hit the part of the curve that is super aggressive and I'd move the jet way too far.
Gotta find that sweet spot for the specific stick and how steady your hands are I guess hey 👌🏻
@@TorniQuetHD yea I would say for a lesser quality stick, curves are better. I still have a "cheap" VKB Gladiator NXT and I took the curves off since this stick's grease makes it so stiff, but in a good way ;)
My f18 always sway left and right when going close to the fuel plane. Weird.
